Horrible overall experience. Booked for Jackson, WY, you changed me to Victor, ID, then less than 24 hours before, I tot tells me they don't have it. Flights needed to be changed, hotels rebooked. Made my 240 mile trip a 380 mile trip.Bruce H.

I had only planned on renting the cargo van for a day but, due to circumstances ended up renting it for a week. The staff was helpful and didn't make me feel that I should of known I needed the van for a longer time period. Each day I extended they said "sure no problem". Such a relief to be able to use the van as I purchased items for my home and had a way to transport items not in use to my storage unit at U-Haul as well. Great place, great people. I'd like to say how nice and helpful the employees are that i dealt with during my reservation time. Each that i spoke with last evening snd even later, all were so ready to help and knowledgeable. I had special or different than usual circumstances and every effort was made to accommodate me. Cheerful, helpful and kind. Of course the van I drive was lovely and easy to drive. The truck was clean, but it was not maintained for a long distance haul. The power steering was whining and would even go out at times. That is extremely dangerous, and is ultimately a death trap. It should be fixed immediately or someone will get in an accident driving that truck. It also has a bad rattle. It may need new tires as well. I know big trucks like that have some sort of normal rattle, but to be safe I would check the tires to ensure none of them need replacing. Also, the last thing that was troublesome was the governor. Sometimes it would kick in at 70 and sometimes it would kick in at 80. We mostly drove around 70mph but when passing other trucks or cars the governor would sometimes kick in and sometimes not. This can be dangerous when trying to pass on a two lane highway. Sometimes while traveling at 65mph and passing someone going slower than 65mph the governor would kick in below 70mph. If the governor can be fine tuned or replaced to be more precise it would prevent it from randomly kicking on. Other than what I've stated it made the journey and was sufficient for our needs. However I still have big concerns for the safety of the next customer if these discrepancies are not fixed. I also informed the workers in Pocatello, Idaho when I dropped off the truck. Originally supposed to pickup equipment in Idaho falls, at the last minute I get a call that the car hauler I was supposed to be picking up had been stolen. Had to drive an hour and ten minutes out of my way to pick it up. As a customer I would have expected uhaul to go out of their way to pick it up and deliver it to me. Not to mention I had made arrangements 3 weeks earlier for all this and when I went in two days before there was â€œno record of me ordering the car haulerâ€ are you kidding me!Ronald H.

We were scheduled to pick up our u-haul at 7:30 am, but we weren't able to get our u-haul for over an hour( closer to 2 hours) because the worker showed up for work late. It was quite inconvenient and frustrating for us because we had a tight timeline. We were polite, however, and tried to be understanding. I would just like to say that dealing with Jason at the south 5th location in Pocatello was the best part about my UHAUL experience. He was kind and patient and handled everything in a professional manner. Which was not what I experienced with any other UHAUL member I dealt with. I feel that each truck should have a pair of snow chains in the vehicle. I had to purchase a pair of snow chains for $100 for the 15' truck I rented or we wouldn't be about to pass. I have no need for these snow chains I purchased.Christine S.

Not having the option to prorate the unit seems a little ridiculous. My business had to store other property and we had to wait 30 days before we were able to remove it.
