After hours rental key pickup is way too difficult. This process must be difficult for older and tech challenged customers. The loader I contacted through you showed up five hours late. The ripple effect carried over to the next day and the unloader at my destination. The person who originated my rental told me I would have a truck ready for pickup in Chico on a Friday. The reservation was changed on Friday and then confirmed for Red Bluff. This simple change added over 100 miles to my rental on a day when I didn't have 100 miles worth of time to give up. If the person in Chico got a commission for the rental, I want it. Chico team did a great job. Ultimately, they were the bright spot in this rental.William D.

I placed my reservation online and had a price of $58.00. When I went to pick up the equipment, I was told the price was $125.00. I only added a $19.00 rope. When I questioned this, the person at the counter informed me that the pricing I received online was fir a pickup and the mileage was for weekdays only. I requested a pick up day if Sunday and reserved a 10' truck. If that pricing did not apply then why was it on the reservation?! The attendant was pretty nasty when I pointed this out to him. Then to top it off he handed me the keys and said, â€œcheck the mileage and gas, if it is wrong take a picture and file a complaintâ€, no by, have a nice day, get lost, nothing. To top it off he never gave me the furniture dolly I paid for, when I went inside to ask about it, he was no where to be found. I had to go find someone to get the furniture dolly. Josh and Eric saved a customer! First experience this year in Clovis ca I was sent to West Fresno across town after being notified my rental wasn't available after a month reservation. Then I was notified on the 28th my reservation for the 30th wasn't available but I could pickup my larger truck at 2 pm Saturday ! I am a disabled 63 and my help was only available until 2 because of previous appts. I explain my situation but then became let's say very stressed which reflected in my attitude ! I again changed words to describe my situation which Eric with his excellent deescalation skills found a solution and Josh followed through.. great job guys. The online process was quick and easy. I went to move in and my access code was declined so I went to the office and was told they only use card access now. They were out of cards though. So I went up again to unload and there was no lock that was supposed to included. So went back to the office and had to get a lock. Had to listen to the alarm every time I opened it because I had no card. Nothing to do with the site. The local people were very helpful and accommodating. However, my guaranteed pickup was moved twice with the third location being a two hour round trip to get the vehicle. In top of this, the second change was an hour before the pickup time. While there was a truck available at original location but it wasn't available as a one way. Nor could the local people change that status. So I was left with a two hour round trip, 50 extra miles in fuel cost and into the night loading. No good.Jon W.

I rented a 12ft cargo trailer one way from Red Bluff Ca. to Dallas Oregon. I estimated it would take 3 days -total by the time ; i loaded & unloaded trailer. I only used it 2 days. Dropping trailer off, one whole day early!. When i had to wait for dealer in Dallas to open, i asked for a receipt, The receipt did not give me a credit for , bring back trailer , one day early. The attendant was too busy talking a friend on her cell phone to deal with us or the other customer waiting. Wouldn't even answer the two phone calls that came in while we were waiting to be helped. After 15 minutes and no acknowledgment from staff we dropped the key in the after hour box and called the 800 number to report that the vehicle had been returned. The pavers that are installed between the parking spaces and the indoor facility make it very difficult to use the carts on. The items bounce and shift when each wheel goes over Each paver. 1. The alarm system goes off every time I open the door to my storage unit. 2. The online reservation system said the lock would be inside the unit when I arrived. It was not. The staff at the desk seemed surprised that I expected the lock to be inside the unit. 3. The climate control system does not seem to work very well at this location (Red Bluff, CA). The thermometer inside the building indicated 85 degrees. 4. Other than these minor inconveniences, the facility is very clean, modern, and in a very convenient location. The online reservation system was easy to navigate and simple to complete. I like that this facility, in addition to storage units, has all the items one would need for packing, storing and moving. The AGM at 7:30 am was not a customer service person. He didn't offer to bring truck up for me basically tossed me the keys and said it's parked facing the road. When I asked to be shown how to open up back of truck(having never rented before) his response was â€œit just rolls upâ€. I work in customer service, l am the worst person to give poor customer service too. I will be letting corporate know. When I returned truck there were employees pulling trucks up for customers showing how to operate, doing walk arounds.....although I did not ask his name, when I returned truck I saw his picture on a business card on the counter and saw he was the AGM.....poor customer service on companies part. The truck had not even been started as far as cleaning is concerned, I ended up taking it with only the cab wiped down because I had already been there for 30 minutes before I left. The associate inside the store allowed me to add an additional day and said that I would be reimbursed for what I didn't use, I found out when I returned it without the extra day that he only meant that for the mileage. The cabin air filter was clogged to the point that the air conditioning didn't work. When I returned the truck, the associate at that time informed me that there is a $25 charge for not folding the blankets, which apparently are not washed, despite the global COVID-19 pandemic that we've been in for the last 16 months. This is not the first issue we've had with the location in regards to reservations. They apparently take that term very lightly in regards to their storage units. If I had another option, I would move my things out of their facility ASAP.Tyler B.

went to pick up the Uhaul, which was supposed to have only 85,000 miles on it but it had a flat tire so we were given one with 186,000 miles. it was horrible. The drivers door panel rattled so bad we had to put a towel between door and seat. The dash was loose and rattled non stop, and the fuel gauge was broken. We picked it up with the tank half full. We returned it barely below half of a tank and they charged us $44.00 for fuel. That is beyond dirty to charge that much, especially when the truck rattled so much in the cab that we had screaming head aches the entire trip. Never using Uhaul again.Shaun H.

I went down to u-haul because I needed help with my wiring harness, I could not find the cars trailer harness plug so I thought I was going to have to get a custom job done for xxx.xx dollars.
