When we dropped off the truck we were told we owed nothing I said no you owe us a refund. He said no they don't give refunds what ever we paid when we picked it up is what we pay. How is this fair when we used the truck for two days and got charged for four, plus four days of insurance?

We were told there was a car transport dolly at the Redding, CA office. Turns out there was none, and we had to pick one up in Red Bluff, en route to pickup the vehicle we hoped to tow. This thus necessitated us having to return the dolly all the way back to Red Bluff from Redding. That was seriously unnecessary, and could've been avoided had the staff reserved the one we asked to have reserved.

The employee twisted the security chains to shorten them and It is my understanding that that makes them more likely to snap in the case of the ball coming un attached. I'm curious if this is true.

the red bluff store was good but i got a call two days before I was going to pick up my truck and they did not have one in redding they wanted me to drive into the mountains way out of my way seems like a mess

Web site needs to make it clear what size ball is used with trailers. Owner/manager has zero people skills, no empathy, and just wants to upsell stuff. There are other U-Haul locations, customer service brings me back, not so much "stuff to rent". You guys don't get it by asking these questions.

Representative should let clients know at rental time that in the event of an after hours drop off, log in to BEFORE dropping the key in the slot! I tried to self check in however I had already dropped the key and was unable to take a picture of the gas gauge or report miles!

Most everything went very well. However, AS I BELIEVE YOU ARE AWARE, I was forced to put more gas back into the tank than I used, because of the way the fuel gauge/mechanism works. Please fix this.
