I found it very, very odd that you asked for multiple phone numbers in case you couldn't get in touch with me. This is an invasion of privacy. I can't recommend renting from u haul based on this requirement. It makes no sense. If I don't answer my phone, you're going to call a relative? You have my credit card, what more do you need? The person helping at the counter was kind but the experience overall was poor. Truck smelled very bad in the cabin and was very dirty. Coffee stains all over and trash in the center console. Ordered moving blankets and they just threw a crumpled up ball of blankets in the back of the truck which gave me no confidence these blankets were cleaned. In all my past experiences with uhaul these were neatly folded. Gas was only at 3/4 full tank. Light on dash indicating a problem with the gas cap. No one went through the truck with me or went over the dents and dings, that responsibility was put solely on me and I was supposed to upload all the scratches and dings myself? No one told me about this and the truck was covered in scratches and dents, this would have taken me an hour to go mark everything. This process should be handled by a uhaul employee and not the customer.GRADY S.

The only problem with this location is that they do not provide parking for customers to leave their cars as they rent from Uhaul. They have 2 "disabled spaces". Another time I rented a van a month or so ago I was told by the employee at the desk said that they DO NOT have customer parking. She had said that you have to find a spot on the street. The street El Camino doesn't have parking. This is not acceptable that you are renting a Uhaul but telling customers that you don't have customer parking. When I dropped off the Uhaul last night I did notice 2-3 cars parked there. Another thing that was confusing was the key drop. I checked out online. The key drop had containers but I was able to lock it. No instructons were by the key box or online. So I left the key. Appartently it was still there when the office opened.PHYLLIS L.

The general manager was on the phone with a customer while he was helping me get checked in. He put it on speaker phone and was very adversarial and condescending to the woman who was on the line. He kept telling her that she â€œfailed to do her partâ€ by not photographing her rental on check in. This left me nervous that I would do something wrong and I was scared to ask if I had to take photos. He then handed me the keys and told me he would email me the contract, but I never got it, and had to request it when I dropped the van off. This means I had to guess what level to fill the gas to. In addition, it was clear that the location was under staffed and I had to wait a very long time to get my vehicle. Multiple people came in to ask for service and the gm responded in a condescending manner that he would get to them when he got to them. While I understand this is a stressful job and it's difficult to find staff at this time, I would not ever return to that location andGABRIEL W.

The rental was miscalculated - charging for two rental periods (2 days) on a 19 hr rental. I spent 45 minutes on the phone to get it corrected, making me unhappy about wasting my time and wondering how much additional income is generated to U-Haul on email receipts with supposed "errors"; something that should be automatically calculated by your system, not left to an employee in the yard who appeared more focused on his next cigarette than my return.G G.

This place is professional and the young lady that helped me was polite and articulate about how the paperless process worked. The only minor thing was that the lot is designed with an entrance and exit but a truck was blocking that process so I exited against the arrow painted on the ground.JOHN M.

I rent U-Hauls about 3-4 times a year. Usually I use the Mtn View location, which is fine. This is probably the 4th time I have used the RWC location, and the service is EXCELLENT. Make sure my trailer reservation was at the location I originally requested. Next time don't have it an hour away from where I live. I lost two hours traveling to get my trailer and was unable to get on the road on time and had to drive longer the next day. I will never use this service again. Since they have the market in their pocket for moving trailers they treat customers as expendable. Oh and my storage reservation was given to someone else too. Poor showing.MATTHEW B.

Horrible experience. I returned the truck the same day as I borrowed it, but Uhaul harassed me several times by claimed that I didn't return the truck on the next day, and two days later. I was exhausted and tried to explain this situation again and again. Nobody bothered to do their job to check the truck and eventually I bear the responsibility and pressure. This should be a simple thing but U-haul makes things so hard for me and caused so much pressure and anxiety to me. Horrible.QIAN W.

The motorcycle trailer disconnected from my the ball on my hitch, luckily while was at low speed. The communication in the transfer of goods is abysmal. The arrival date was 10/13, so I booked the moving helpers for 10/14. The date then changed to 10/14 (on 10/13), so I moved them to 10/15 (which was tough since they were booked). Stuff didn't come in on 10/14 (by noon) and the date changed to 10/15 arrival AND I was told that's what it always was. (I have screen shots that show that's not true.) The truck was dirty and had several blemishes. Renting through the mobile app took several tries, each of which required me to re-enter my personal information. The tank was only partially full, and the instructions I received were unclear on which type of gas I should use and whether I should fill up the tank before returning it.Romain H.

Like with everything else involved on Uhauls side of my move, things were not at all what was requested. I requested and reserved a certain sized storage unit. When I arrived , I was told it wasn't available, but I could have a 4x4 unit. I explained thay I had a one bed apt full of goods, and needed the bigger unit that was promised me. I was then given an 8x8(?) Unit that was still too small for my belongings. I had to get an additional 4x4 unit. Now I'm stuck with 2 payments a month. Uhaul has played bait and switch with me this entire move. From the first truck and trailer that was switched out and too small, to the storage. Also, the movers that uhaul listed ended up tearing my mattress when they forced it into the storage unit, then scratched up my dining chairs.James A. | First Impressions
