I was so frustrated trying to find the drop off spot for the keys after store hours. There was no direction on where to go. Even walking up and down the store front I didnt see it. It was literally the straw that broke the camels back. I had to go to my husband in tears and finally after he walked up and down the store front he saw the tiny sign for the key slot. There should be some sign or arrow showing where to go directly at the drop off location for afyer hours.. The QR code to do the return was a joke. Whenever I scanned it it would only bring up the app and nothing more. I am signed into the app already and there is no option to do a return from there. I finally did it through the actual website. The first thing I said after doing the return is I hope I never have to use UHaul again.

The container was dirty and had burnt-out lights; I had to use it that way because they didn't have another one available. The items I was transporting got stained with oil and grease, and even though I returned it in the exact same condition I received it, they charged me $100 for cleaning. I do not recommend this place—this store stole $100 from me.

went online to rent a utility trailer put in all the info and credit card info thinking that when my buddy got there he could just pick up the trailer for me so we could haul what we needed too and bam it could be done. well the website was shit, you got all the info that was needed to rent trailer adn my buddy goes to pick up trailer and gets asked pretty much same stuff and he still had to call me so I could still give credit card info over phone. I elected not to get the safe tow package as it left an option on the reservation that I declined it but the lady would not rent me the trailer on the phone unless I added that. So I was definitely pissed that morning as I thought I took care of the rental on the webpage but had to give a good portion and more

when i reserved the uhual it didnt state any where that it would cost more to pick it up. i paid an extra $100 then what i was told at 1st.
it also didnt state that i had to pay $4 for going over by 2 miles.
i was told that it was $1 per mile if going over.
that should have been $2 not $4.
they dont include the extra fees or why you will get charged more when you reserve the truck.
I did get told i would get that extra $100 back in a refund.
I have yet to receive that refund.
or an expalnation as to why i had to pay over what i told to begin with.

We got the oldest truck in the fleet. When I got a flat tire it was ridiculous how much I was treated like I was the problem. I tried to call they told me to do it online and I tried it did not work obviously and when I had it towed to the closest dealership at my expense they charged me for everything ×7. Three of the days that I had it out of the five or six I was unable to use it it was stuck with flat tire the only good part about this particular location was the first person I encountered Alexandria she was lovely that's all

they could have called and told me it was a whole 2 gallons off. MY BAD I HAVE POOR EYE SIGHT! it is -15 degree out side I MOVED ALL DAY IN IT and i am freezing. You did NOT call me and tell me you was taking 10 more dollars off my card. I brought it back 2 days early, less miles than expected. I already had to dig your truck out clear it of snow because your lazy co workers in ohio couldnt do it. SOOOO to repay me for all that you jacked my card for 9.10 more with no notice. The truck was clean but hard to open because of a layer of ice and snow! Also windows were covered with snow and took a long time to clean. We were steered in the right direction of the parking lot but lots of vehicles to ook through on an icy slick parking lot,! I finally drove our car over as I was afraid I would slip and fall down.

Only issue I had was truck was heavily iced over and I had to sit 20+ minutes waiting for it to defrost before I could drive. Then I had to work to get overhead door thawed and broke free so it would open up. I feel that the hour I spent doing this was unnecessary and should have been done by Uhaul before I arrived at scheduled time.

Well, I wasn't told I was going to be held a 100-dollar deposit until they asked me to swipe my card. I had to ask them.
Also, they didn't explain to me the whole returns the truck process. They told me to park it and put the keys in the door. I happen to see the sign on the pole and had to call customer service about the rest, including pictures.
When I pulled up to return it, they literally walked right by me when they walked out the door to leave.
After I had checked in to pick it up I was told where the truck was, I wasn't walked out and shown it took me 15 minutes to find it. He told me a certain row and should be right over there. I did not know the numbers were on the ground, and the key had the numbers to the truck. He could have explained that too. Honestly, he (Maxwell) needs to be trained. Needless to say, I'm a recruiter I would of never hired him.
I'm pretty disappointed.

The facility is exactly as promised. Staff provided precise expectations, and then delivered. As an old gal, I always felt that I, and my possessions were safe.

This was my first experience with a storage facility and I just expected more for the price I paid for indoor storage. Facility advertises “Climate controlled storage units keep your items protected from the weather and humidity.” This is absolutely not true - I discovered mildew on my leather furniture after 6 months in storage. It is not worth paying nearly double the price in Richmond IN for indoor storage here when your furniture still gets ruined.

I rented a trailer for 2 days and got a month of storage for free, I got my trailer full and went to unload all my items into storage and someone put a second red lock on my unit, I was locked out with no communication, I got set back a half a day and ended up needing the trailer until 7 o'clock the following day, they are now trying to charge me for 2 days extra and I only had the trailer 24 extra hours. I picked up the trailer Friday around 6:30 pm and delivered the trailer back on Sunday right after 7 o'clock and now they are charging me an additional $64 for 2 extra days when I already paid $64 for Friday and Saturday. If I knew they would charge me again I would have just kept the trailer and used it for more moving purposes. Very unprofessional and can't believe they locked me out of my unit with no communication, no card, no email, no text message. If this never happened I probably would t have kept the trailer an additional day

Multiple bird nests in the unit along with dead birds. Lots of bird poop on furniture and boxes. Obviously no one checked because you can see and hear the birds. Can look between units and see multiple nests in other units. Poor service by U-Haul.

I am a repeat customer. Usually, I only need use of your moving truck. I have had a couple short term storage use. Although this last experience was a long term storage rental.
I would like to personally Thank Shara. Uhaul Westside Richmond IN, 47374. She was always helpful and professional . She was very understandable about my financial situation. I am retired and living on a single check per month. My move in date was on the 26th of the month. Therefore, my payment was due on the 26th of each month. Every month when I called her on the Sunday before the 26 date of every month. She always remembered me. Most importantly as long as I made that call on or before the due date, she graciously, didn't charge me the late fee. Of course I made my payment on the 3rd of each month. That is when I got my payment. I never was made to feel embarrassed of my situation. Most appreciately, I was never charged the extra late fee. Shara automatically understand that I needed every cent to get by.
I have been a professional, a business owner and a youth coach in our community. I believe strongly in professionalism and hard work. I also understand that a company survives at its very best when given high quality standards for the customer. That alone will keep customers walking in your door. It is also the very best advertisement,
that doesn't cost the Big $$.! I want to thank the uhaul staff again for many years of great service. And again thank you Shara, for all your hard work and your outstanding service.

Hands down the BEST Uhaul storage I have ever used. Staff is top notch, good people, helpful, courteous, and work hard to make it a good experience. And it is its own building dedicated to storage and rentals. Not stuck next to some barely lit sketchy gas station or old pizza hut for a change :-) If I ever need another unit they are the ONLY place I will go. You won't regret it!!!

Use to like this place girl was not nice I had 2storage units with you guys an rented a uhaul to get my things to Oklahoma,an I told the girl I was moving out then it was time to close an was almost done loading an worker came around told my daughter to go get her mom I came out she said I want ur storage numbers,well I gave them to you when I got my uhaul an told you I was moving out,then she says well we are closed you need to make sure you lock it all up do you understand I am not a child but thank you.her customer service skills could do better!An I left them my key cards an my locks even though I paid for atleast 1 but I thought they were both mine!But she wanted them..so I need refund on those if I left them for no reason.

I have actually never been done so bad by a company in my life you guys have just repeated to screw me over and over you've charged my card three separate days in a row without permission after my wife specifically told you not to. and then the general manager lied and said that the lights were working on the trailer and they definitely were not we couldn't even pull the trailer because the brakes kept seizing.I promise U-Haul has a small claims suit coming from me and if you Sarah the general manager happened to see this you should be ashamed of yourself you're supposed to stand for something better that's why you were promoted to management but that's not you at all cuz you were okay with letting me and my kids go on up the road and getting an accident and it's no sweat off your back because you didn't want to stand out there in the cold and get it working properly

The storage unit was fine. The trucks were fine. But I was charged a full month of rent to the tune of $158 for 7 days of storage. And I made my reservation for the truck on 9-30, which is supposed to give me a full month for free. I would like to be reimbursed for the $158. When I called customer service, I was on hold for over 20 minutes only to be answered and transferred to a number that didn’t have a voicemail and hung up on me.

The general manager at this store is rude and unprofessional. I was not explained all the requirements needed while renting the unit such as my account needing to be on autopay. After two months of paying with calling in, some employee just “checked a little box” and put me on autopay. There was no authorization by me whether it be voice recording or electronic signature for uhaul to be authorized to take from my account, and I was told that some employee must have just checked this box and put you on autopay, HOW IS THAT LEGAL? It took TWO MONTHS of multiple return check fees to be ASSURED I was not on autopay without my permission. Even after speaking to the general manager about my problem of originally being charged without my permission, she approved for my payment to be sent back and said I was not on autopay. THE NEXT DAY after the payment was returned I was charged again. How can that happen? And after I tried to call and get this fixed I had multiple employees tell me that this is just how it is and she is not the best person to talk to, AS I HAVE ALREADY FELT. After being shown that there was no clear leadership and the manager could care less about me trying to get financial stable after having to leave a domestic violence relationship and JUST NEEDED MY THINGS TO BE OUT OF HIS HOUSE, I immediately got my things out the unit and left. Never coming back again and if anyone asks, I’ll MAKE SURE they never come to this facility.

This has been one of the single worst experiences I've ever had you guys literally caused me to have to throw thousands of dollars worth of stuff away you guys didn't take care of what you said you were going to take care of considering you guys called the infestation to begin with the entire truck has to be thrown away because there's a cockroach infestation that you guys caused and then try to blame on me so I would say my experience here was one of the worst I've ever had and I will see you guys in court

The manager went above and beyond to help me with my last minute emergency move. She didn't make me feel rushed and unimportant. I could tell she really cares about taking care of people's needs. Such a great professional. I'll be recommending her and Uhaul to everyone.

Staff was friendly and seemed competent but directions could have been made more clear. I was told card would unlock the doors but that several of the doors where not working. My card did not allow access to any of the doors even several hours after getting the card activated. An alternate card was provided which initially did not work but was told that I would just need to allow time for the card to become active. I have not been back yet to attempt again however I’ve paid for 24hr access and now have to arrange a visit during office hours to ensure I can get access. I had to read about checking in and out (if I was told about this it was certainly not made clear) and became even more frustrated when card wouldn’t swipe and alarm went off upon entering my unit. I was told that if alarm goes off it’s not a big deal, which is concerning and leads me to believe my valuables are not safe. I was told if I ever needed anything to just press the intercom button. I pressed that button several times at several different stations and never spoke with anyone. I can see the potential in this storage space however equipment needs to function appropriately or be fixed. Also, with my intent of short term storage due to move, not being able to pull my truck directly up to the unit is another huge deterrent for using this facility in the future.

I just needed it for short period of time and didn't have much stuff to keep in a. Storage. But U haul was great and i recommend them to anyone needing a clean nice safe storage unit short term or long term.

your manager at the u haul on national road west is very knoledge able . Shes VERY compassionate , understanding . She doesnt rush you She listens to your needs and gets you what you need. im storing my mothers things as she has passed away she is VERY thoughtful of how difficult this has been for myself and family. Do you have an award program ? this wonderful young lady certainly deserves one. i feel very comfortable knowing that my mommas things are being looked after by her and her crew. So thank you for listening to me i just cant tell everyone how great it is about u haul storeage. And i really feel your manager is the reason for my piece of mind. and her crew also. thanks to them all. Sincerely yours melody mullin.. i recommend u haul to all my family and friends thanks again
