The vehicle was very dirty on the inside! With Covid still a concern the truck should be cleaned regularly. I was also charged a file fee when in fact the vehicle was picked up and returned at half a tank.What is the full charge for exactly? Please have a someone email me or call me to discuss. I have pick up pictures and video of me cleaning the dirty truck and I would like to submit. Also the credit card machine does not work and needs to be replaced that is a privacy concern.Monique S.

The Rockville Center location was clean and easy to navigate to with plenty of Uhaul trucks available. The representative who assisted us was friendly and knowledgeable. The Air conditioning system was not working properly and the outside temperature was over 90Â° the manager at the facility was very helpful it wasn't her fault but the AC on the truck did not work properly and it was a terrible rentalRichard Z.
My experience is 2-fold: I stored my stuff in the Rockville Centre, NY facility and I rented a ubox to haul my belongings out of state. It took a long time to get everything coordinated (7 hours on the phone with customer service over 3 days) but I eventually got everything worked out. The truck was clean but when I got to my location with the truck the back gate wouldn't open. The wire rope was off track on the right side preventing the door from opening. We called for road side assistance that took 2 hours and 30 min to come. I'm an event planner and all the balloons were in the truck to set the party this was not a good thing for me.Alicia L.

Terrible customer service! The woman that works there is extremely rude and resistant to answer any questions. Does not show her name on her ID. I believe her name was Teqhia. Of all the employees only ONE exhibited excellent customer service. The woman “Tequia” (spelling) was absolutely miserable and extremely rude every time I interacted with her. Deception, bad faith. States do not charge cc tilll returned! 1 week is 148 hrs according to them . 1.5 hrs wait on phone. Key misplaced so extend rental x3 days only to find my cc was maxed out at time of query for an additional 240.16. Prior to the due date I which I was unable to hire a locksmith. Darrell, not sure of spelling, and all the staff, really go above and beyond with courteous and professional customer service. Even the woman in front of me on the line (with her husband) were glowing over the way he handled their rental truck needs for a move to Florida. You must have a ton of awesome feedback on this guy...but as I said...all the workers I've interacted with had a similar friendly and warm demeanor. I'm extremely impressed. Such a blessing. I've been here many times to buy propane; it always seemed crowded, and the propane person was otherwise engaged. It seems they have streamlined their methods; I arrived an hour early...no problem. Check in was fast, and I got to inspect the truck alone, sending pictures of any damages. When I came back, I dropped off the key and was done in minutes. The truck was clean, functional and had a radio and air conditioning.John B.

The last time that I rented... I rented for 1 day, I supposed to returned the next day but by the time was impossible because I was on emergency.. the thing was that the girl from Rockville center uhaul, calling me like I was stolen the truck...and I do business with the company monthly..I spend more than 1,000 dlrs a month...and that wasn't the way that this people treat to the costumer... now they charging me more than 300 dlrs...just because I didn't returned at time?... this is not the first time that I rented for few days and I returned one day after..they charged me one day extra..and thats acceptable I understand.. but not more than 300 dlrs just for returned a day after...rodolfo E.

Location was too far from residence. There are other locations that were more convenient. I had to drive an hour to get home and load the truck. Truck had terrible transmission. Shifting was tricky and clunky. Vehicle pulled to the left and felt unsafe. I made certain cargo was balanced. Seat was painful with very little adjustment. UPGRADE your trucks. Took a long time over 30 min to get a small trailer and only 2 customers including me. Trailer was missing chain rubber piece to make sure chain will not come off and it did. Also when I asked in advance if they can assist screwing on a ball on a ball mount I was told they can help. However, once there I was told they don't have a tool that size. Lastly when I asked if trailer tires were checked amd what was appropriate tire pressure. I was told that yes they were just checked and they were 65psi. Once I checked they were 50psi. I don't have a problem with the location but my overall experience with u-haul was terrible. I went online and the site allowed me to reserve a truck with mobile pick up at a location that doesn't offer that service. I spent over an hour trying to figure it out before a representative sent me to this location which is further away so it cost me more for mileage not to mention he wasn't clear on the address so the GPS took me somewhere else before I had to google and find the right location. INBOUND CALL. NOT AN IN-PERSON VISIT. Purpose of call was to pay this month's Past Due Rent for Room 495 over the phone. Bill became Past Due because of a problem on your website which would not allow me to use my credit card for payment. On 11-27-21, at 1:25p ET called 1-800-GO-UHAUL. Reached "Elizabeth" at the Call Center. Explained my dilemma with your website. She processed the credit card payment for me. After completing processing she told me that she was "unable to provide a confirmation or transaction number because the payment is pending." End result, NO PAYMENT RECORDED. We were 100% satisfied with the facility until having had an encounter with the manager at the end show and she was very punitive and and hostile . She felt challenged challenged because a product that she recommended was not received with enthusiasm and later sought to pull rank and punish us by insisting we should go up and take a photograph of the room even though it was busy and a staff member was willing and able to go inspect the vacatied room. She was utterly combative and unprofessional. Poor customer sevice. Unlike what she purported in the video which is what appealed to me when I was shopping around. Unfortunately we had too many issues with the storage facility. Between getting stuck in the elevator or waiting over 15 minutes for the elevator, we decided to take our business elsewhere. There were a few that were very helpful, and I would like to commend Mish on his help with trying to get the elevator working up to par, and quickly assisting us on getting out of the building. The move-in was fine, back in 2017 when I moved in, so I don't know why I'm getting this now, but it is typical of the complete lack of communication at the facility. For six months now I have been having major problems with my payments -- checks are lost and then posted 6 months late, checks take weeks and weeks to post, and no one knows what is going on or has any interest in finding out. I had to come personally to the facility to straighten out my account, and then ANOTHER check appeared and was posted 6 months after I sent it in. Reese Baccas extended me a VIP credit for having rented space at this location for over a decade. She was very professional and personable. Although I would like to stay at this storage facility I need to find one that is cleaner and more conducive to storing my wardrobe. My clothing has mold on it and many fine pieces of clothing, especially leather clothing and shoes is ruined.
