Nice employees and easy rental but my rental truck was parked far too close to rentals in front of and behind it, which made leaving difficult. The trucks bracket to keep the windows shade up was also broken, which left the shade hanging in front of my face. I constantly had to move it up so I could clearly see the road, which presented a slightly dangerous situation.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at U-Haul Roseville on Wills Road was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I had a reservation for a 26-foot moving truck and an auto transport trailer with a scheduled pickup time of 7:30 a.m. Despite arriving on time, I stood at the front of the line for 45 minutes before a single employee acknowledged me. During that time, one employee repeatedly walked back and forth from the office sipping her coffee while clearly seeing a line of customers waiting to be helped. By the time someone finally assisted me, there were approximately seven customers lined up behind me. Considering the store opened at 7:00 a.m., this level of service is unacceptable. The first truck I was assigned was completely out of fuel. After I complained, I was assigned a second truck that was also completely empty. Only after insisting did they provide a truck with a half tank of gas, but I had to walk all the way to their overflow lot behind the property to retrieve it myself. After driving the truck back to the front, they attempted to assign me an auto transport trailer that was missing the primary steel bracket for the trailer jack. This wasn’t a cosmetic issue. The entire mechanism was incomplete, with a roughly one-foot steel component and its mounting hardware missing. The only reason it was caught was because the employee couldn’t raise the trailer, giving me time to compare it to another trailer and realize major parts were missing. They then directed me to a second trailer, which was also missing a large structural bolt. I was actually told it “should be fine because the bolt on the opposite side would probably hold everything together.” That is an astonishing response when dealing with equipment designed to tow thousands of pounds at freeway speeds. Once I settled for the trailer with the missing bolt, I was completely on my own. The employee could not show me how to properly secure my car because he did not know how. No one helped verify the tie-downs. I had to grab someone to help me verify the trailer’s brake lights worked. And no one performed what I would consider even the most basic safety checks before sending me on my way. In total, I was there for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Those delays had real consequences. I arrived 30 minutes late to my scheduled Moving Help appointment, meaning I paid for three hours but only received two and a half hours. The delay also pushed back my entire move to Central California, causing me to arrive late to my second Moving Help appointment later that day. I want to be clear that I don’t blame the employee who ultimately helped me. He was polite, doing his best, and was clearly placed in a situation without the training or support necessary to succeed. The responsibility falls squarely on management. Sara Thorn, employee #706046, as General Manager, you should be ashamed! This facility reflects your leadership. Customers should not have to inspect your equipment for missing structural components, argue for a truck with fuel, retrieve their own truck from an overflow lot, or teach themselves how to safely load a vehicle onto an auto transport because your staff has never been trained. These are not minor inconveniences. They are serious safety issues. The lack of equipment inspections, maintenance, employee training, and overall management at this location is alarming. It’s only a matter of time before defective equipment or inadequate instruction results in someone getting killed. The fact that you haven’t been sued or fired is beyond me. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

The trailer pickup process took forever, due to the computer network being down. The desktops and phone apps were not working, and I finally was checked out manually, plugging in all the info again. You need better IT!

The manager at your location on Will Road in ROSEVILLE is amazing. She has great customer service. She knows how to fix any kind of a problem or work around. She genuinely cares about every customer that comes in. She also mentors the employees as she is working through getting things on the computer correctly. Seriously, she is the reason I chose the location in U-Haul.

Self mobile pick up was horrible. Everyone else received a token of thank you for waiting. I waited over an hour and nothing was provided to compensate for being behind schedule. Also, staff member misplaced the key. I had to pay movers an extra hour due to this.

Although Sarah the manager was helpful the experience was poor. The previous day I had called and reserved a trailer and was told by Rudolpho that someone from U-Haul would call me back that never happened and I missed my deadline for transporting a vehicle. Then when I went to the Roseville location. There was a line of 9 or so people in line that were all frustrated because they had been told that the computers were downs i ended up waiting at least an hour and a half just to pick up a trailer. Then when I went to return the trailer the yard help was rude. There was a man there barking orders at me where to park. It’s obvious that the layout of the park lot is not conducive to a free flow of customers coming through and dropping and picking up. And to make things worse they have all of the trailers in the slopes part of the parking lot and the trucks on flat ground which makes it more difficult to pick up and drop off trailers. The trucks that have “PARK” or parking brakes should be on the sloped area and the trailers should be on flat ground. This is just plain common sense. The tad person was rude banging on my truck window while I was on a business call. This was by far my worst experience at a U-Haul facility.

Again, only one staff member on duty for such a large facility. And, again, the line out the door. They tried to charge a late fee even though I had been given an extension. Cindy helped me out. She was very helpful. Uhaul, let's do better with scheduling. Also, give your local staff authorization to reverse errors, especially when less than $30.

I moved from a storage right on my street but when there price jumped from $35 to $55 I was ok with that them within in 4 or months it jumped to $98 a month I thought that was crazy, plus there staff keeps changing every 3 months I kept getting different responses to my price questions , so I've rented with many times and thought it time to go back to u haul , im glad I did their new storage units are amazing & beautiful .

I was treated respectfully, patiently, given detailed and accurate information, physically shown every step in the process of being able to keep my items safely, & securely stored, tools to aid in that venue including where the bathroom is located, tools that may aid in my storage needs, and the staff & manager were approachable, willing to give me verbal and written contract, easy to understand instructions. They looked for every way to make it adventatious to use their facility, and walked me through the process without hurrying me. It is a exemplary location!

While closing out my account I discovered the hard way my monthly rent was not pro rated. My bill was auto payed the day before I moved out. I was informed u haul doesn't pro rate my bill and I should have moved out before my bill came due. Due to this strange policy I paid an entire months bill although I used it for only 1 day into my new month.

If I could give less than poor I could. My unit was robbed. After talking to the police, it is a regular occurrence at U-Haul. When police try to get video footage etc, the management refuses to help. I see people piggyback in on people, and doors not locked during business hours. When the alarms are tripped, they are turned off I assume by staff. You claim to sell safe storage units, not even close. You should be shut down for false advertising and failing to provide what you are selling. This place is a f-ing joke. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will NEVER do business with this company again.

Didn’t like the wired ceiling, rat trap that takes up valuable real estate, & the roll-top door design really kills a not even 5x5x10 feet unit; plus it wasn’t conveniently located for my needs (opposite direction from places I would need to frequent the unit).

The staff who helped us was she was not friendly at all. She had an attitude and treated me as an idiot that made my husband nervous. She warned us that "there is no storage for us and go and find storage somewhere else". My husband asked her for a manger she claimed that the manger gone for the day, While she was claiming that the manager showed up and solved the issue, I really appreciate the manager help and he treated me so respectfully.

There was a little mix up because my phone number came up as a past customer with wrong personal info when i originally set up my account. I didnt notice until lafter i left the office that my reciepts had someone else' name. Luckily when i returned, Jessica the manager was able to adjust any of the discrepencies and all was good.. Best deal in town for temp controlled, secure, new, modern space that even has a restroom..

The gal who helped me at the Roseville location (Willis St), I didn’t get her name but she had black hair, glasses, and some cool tattoos on her arms and I think she may have been a manager. However, she was tremendous help she was quick, she was kind, and she went out of her way to show me where my storage was when there was a line out the door. She was very accommodating and willing to help me in case I didn’t get the right size storage which was super nice. I’m very happy with my experience here so far.

I booked online and didn’t really bother much with inducements of free lock with purchase of storage online or free first month move in deal…the unit was most important and for us- we got a Great unit. It fit our needs entirely. With Climate Control and keypad entry I feel very secure with our choice💯 Also the Staff- We went to a few locations…were excellent, The woman Alyssa working the counter at the Storage unit on Wills Rd was above and beyond helpful and pleasant, a good charisma that really made me glad to be there.

The person who assisted me was amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, caring, and understanding. She walked with me to show me how to access the storage unit, and access after-hours. Absolutely amazing experience.

Turning into the parking lot it gets confusing as to where to park for storage. All the u haul return are right in front of the main office building. Upon arrival one male staff member walks away. I talk to one of the female staff member as to where I need to go to get to the storage, she gets smart with me as to where I needed to go, doesn't even give a tour as I seen other people being shown where to go. She tells me if I exit one entrance and go to the left another entrance goes to the storage, I had no idea, as a first time experience here, it wasn't too great, but I had found my storage unit and was at ease, but in the customer service side I'm very upset and I guess I'll just figure it out on my own .

I took receipt of a Uhaul Box and did not visit the site, however the team was excellent on the deliver and pick-up. Communications were GREAT and the team was very friendly. WELL DONE.
