The cargo portion of the van smelled like wet dog / Kennel. THis wasn't a problem for me, as everything I was moving was in disposable bags / boxes, but may be for some customers. I am not sure how you would go about preventing / fixing this sort of problem. Spraying scent to cover it up makes it worse in my opinion. Cab was very clean & smelled new, overall a pleasurable experience.

Our first drop off location - Smog Busters was rude and sent us away to another location with more room. I understand having a full lot, but DO NOT appreciate being charged more for mileage I had to drive because of U-hauls issues!!!!

Don’t bother phoning, they leave you holding until you hang up. Don’t expect anyone friendly, the guy at the counter never looked up, said nothing pleasant, seemed very unhappy and did not make me feel at all glad I was there. Don’t expect to matter, they’ll let some guy rushing the counter to be served before all the people waiting in line. The guy outside was nice, though.

On Thursday 1/10/19 I reserved a 10' Box Truck online to be picked up in LINCOLN, CA. at 11 AM on Saturday 1/12/19. When I arrived at the pickup location, Andrews Towing, at 11 AM I was told they didn't have my reserved vehicle, and that I was supposed to have been notified by email or text that the nearest 10' box was at the Wills Rd. facility in Roseville CA. I was never notified of the change. And when the owner of Andrews Towing contacted U-Haul directly, she admitted she failed to contact me and never even so much as offered an apology! Luckily I was able to call for my ride to come back and retrieve me. If I would have known the closest 10' box was in Roseville, I never would have reserved it in the first place. I live approx. 15 miles northeast of Lincoln and the extra mileage to Roseville was not worth the cost! But at that point, I already had plans in place and people coming to help work, so I was left with no alternative! The reason I reserved online in the first place was to avoid exactly what happened. When I arrived in Roseville to retrieve the correct vehicle, they didn't seem to care about the extra mileage and inconvenience of me having to travel the extra 20+ miles (Both ways included) and only stated I could contact U-Haul by phone to try and negotiate some sort of rebate for their error! Overall I was very disappointed in the whole U-Haul rental experience and will be contacting customer service regarding such!

they didn't give me my full rental they made me bring it back 12 hours after I picked it up and said well that's the same price for anything we have it reserved tomorrow at 9 so I had to drop it off in the morning so basically I lost half of my tow I can only make one trip with the trailer I got and I still got charged the same amount as it would be for a full 24 hours.

Only one person at the counter long line of customers, old and very slow computer equipment, they were trying hard to accommodate No owner or any supervisor was there. I love the area and its very convenient location but very under staffed and cramped. I love U-Haul service

The two gentleman were professional, unfortunately the business was brisk leaving the two employees poorly under staffed. My truck was a pile of crap, the front end was completely out of alignment making the truck vibrate,shake and pull on the road. I felt like the shocks in this rental were completely blown out...gone & the truck handled in an unsafe manor. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I waited almost a half of an hour with only one person a head of me. When returned the vehicle the employees were preparing other rentals and driving around the location so no one was available to help me check out...poor equipment, poor service,poor & dirty location...three strikes U-Haul.

I used your mobile app process to rent a pick-up thinking it would be a quick easy process. What I found is it was a ridiculous process that actually took more time and frustration than if I had just reserved the truck and gone through the regular rental process. I will never use the mobile app again. It is ridiculous to have me walk the lot looking for the vehicle on my own to then still have to go inside to check in and get the key.
