Reserved hand cart wasn't available; I was able to work around it but not knowing until I arrived that it wasn't available was an unpleasant surprise. I booked online and requested an appliance dolly. I was not notified that there was not a dolly available until I arrived to pick up my Uhaul truck. This is an essential piece of equipment to have on moving day. In addition to that disappointment, they were trying to charge us for fuel, since we did not take a picture of the fuel gage when we picked it up. The boy behind the counter told me I can not rent unless I have a reference or phone number he can call and that someone MUST answer or I can't rent. I drive all the way there to deal with this! I don't have a reference. My ID and credit card is sufficient! I'm furious.PAUL S.
Equipment is neat and clean. My problem was when reviewing my email receipt I was charged for CDW insurance which I had declined and charged for gas as I returned the unit with gas I filled myself and had a receipt for. Told the busy person checking in returned vehicles this. He looked slammed with his work load an asked if a email receipt would work for me. Maybe should have waited for a hard copy there...found the add-on charges. Called the location and after waiting 30 minutes on hold a pleasant person Phillip was able to help me...I think he resolved the CDW Isurance charge but I will have to see if the gas charge is also refunded. Phillip was awesome. Usually have great service here...hope it was a fluke that these issues arose.Mike D.

I asked for a newer year model truck and the staff was receptive to the request. However, the truck had just been returned and not cleaned. I had already paid and checked out the truck. I could not see out of any of the windows and the interior was filthy with red clay dirt on the seats and dash. When I arrived at my temporary moving location, I found the cargo area had left an ash residue all over the bottom of my moving boxes. It appeared as though a previous customer must have used the truck in a fire evacuation area and the roll-up door was left open.The truck ran very well, but it was filthy dirty and ruined my moving boxes so they cannot be reused. Sadly, it was not a good experience.Joseph L.
The online check is clunky and not easy to use. The associate who help me seemed poorly trained or in the wrong field. She seemed lost and confused. The whole process took way too long and it gave me a bad taste towards U-HaulCraig P.
The staff here is the best! The new GM has no customer service skills, is not personable at all, and has the worst attitude I've ever encountered. I have been renting from here for 4 years and spend close to $40,000 a year, unfortunately I will not be renting from this location again because of the poor service from the GM!Jason L.

The truck was tired and old. The interior was dirty. 117,000 miles and it was definitely performing like an old truck. I expected much better for a one-way rental. Very disappointed in the truck. The employees were kind and helpful, just awesome.Joseph L.

I reserved a truck with blankets but when I went to pick up the truck, was told there were none available. The nearest location also said they didn't have any when called. The truck's driver side door seal was loose and kept falling every time we opened the door. I have rented from uhaul many times and this was by far the worst supplied and organized.Tammy K.
Except for dismal (hence the Poor Location rating) Wills Rd condition leading to the U-Haul office, this U-Haul location served my needs Excellently! A bonus is that the Wills Rd location is close to Costco which means more affordable gas. The 333 Sunrise Ave U-Haul location is much closer to my house. As a result, I had reserved a vehicle there. When I showed up to rent the vehicle I was told that none of the type I had reserved were available. Presumably due to the last renter not returning the vehicle on time. I had not been contacted to alert me about that situation. I was not presented with alternative vehicle possibilities. Instead, I was directed to the Wills location. However, neither of the two Sunrise location employees took the initiative to contact the Wills location to determine if the vehicle I wanted was available. Poor customer service for sure. Interesting, the Sunrise location has several times the number of rental vehicles as does the Wills location.Bob S.

Clean the inside of your vehicles please. De-junkify your app please. No one wants 20 screens of up-sell when they are trying to rent a truck. Why are you asking for extra phone numbers? Who has a land line these days? If you give another person's number as a second contact number you CALL them? I was fortunate that the voicemail of the personn I gave stated their name, because I was told they wouldn't rent to me otherwise? I don't know what's going on with U-haul, but I'll just pay more and rent from enterprise or whatever. Renting from U-haul is a massive pain and takes far too much time.Jordan D.

The staff at this location were very friendly. They were very nice to deal with. The location is in a dirt lot beside a construction zone of a new Uhaul storage facility. The first van I rented, the air conditioning did not work. I had to spend an hour driving back to the location to swap for a van with air conditioning in 100 degree heat. The van that I swapped for was damaged, which meant that it was super loud on the passengers side. The door was damaged so air rushed in. I would like a $100 refund for the inconvenience on such a long roadtrip. Thank youDustin B.

I reserved in persona 2 day rental, when my son in law and I got there they only had me for 1 day and insisted I have have it back in 24 hrs. Also I rented appliance dolly but there were none only one with a broken wheel And to make things worst it was 109 deg. And the unit had no AC working! FyI I was help to move two families . There is no real service which makes the experience bad. Everything is do it yourself, although the "customer service person" is right at the desk in front of you. He/She will text you as you are standing in front of them and everything is done through your phone.. YOU upload your license, YOU upload the contract, YOU do the inspection yourself on your phone and agree or disagree with the vague pictures and previous damage from other drivers. It used to be quick and easy with an actual Uhaul representative. Now it is pointless to even go into the office. I returned the truck in a few hours, waited in a long line, just for the representative to say I just leave it without saying anything. Then I received a call the next morning that they were waiting for me to return the truck? -THAT'S WHY I WAITED IN THAT LINE, TO SHOW THEM I RETURNED IT! I don't think I will use Uhaul ever again if this is the new process. ASININE!Amber M.

I rented a car trailer and the tires had 45-50psi. Tire rating is 65. I would have been nice if the tires were properly inflated, but I stopped at a tire center and had them filled to the correct inflation.Bret S.

Moving can be hard and stressful, and unfortunately UHaul managed to make it worse. This rental experience was very disappointing, to say the least. After reserving my truck a week ahead of time, along with 24 moving blankets and a furniture dolly, here is what happened: the day before my rental: I was notified via text that my pick up location had changed. 10 miles away in the opposite direction. Second, upon arrival, I was informed matter of factly that they did not have the blankets nor the dolly! I reserved them because I needed them, so this was a big problem. The dealer called another dealer who said they had the 24 moving blankets, but no dolly. So I drive further out of my way to another location, only to arrive, wait 30 min in line, and then be told they actually only have 16 blankets! This may have been OK, BUT upon returning the vehicle I was CHARGED for he 8 'missing' blankets. I informed the return facility that I did indeed contact customer service about only receiving 16 instead of 24, but he didnt seem to have a way to verify that. The overall inconvenience, extra time driving a truck all over town, and lack of help and support have led to a complete lack of confidence to ever rent from Uhaul again. I am attempting to work with customer service on a resolution. If one is reached, I'll update this review. If not,Matt G.

Had a challenge getting a trailer that wasn't in poor maintenance. Damaged, bad tire and another one with no license plate. Staff we're exceptionally accommodating and understanding. You've got some great people. It just appears that the â€œreturn inspection processâ€ needs some attention so the equipment is in appropriate readiness for next customer.Sam S.

Not impressed with the customer service. We showed up close to after it opened and the trailer smelt like weed and the blonde at the computer that checked us in was less than welcoming. She could use some customer service training and a smile. Only reason we used this location was because it was the most convenient and we had a decent experience with a different admin the first time we came. Would not recommend to a friend unless they are checking in/out via mobile. Other than that, every other employee seemed pretty friendly.Alexandria A.

When returning the truck, it was over 100 degrees hot outside. My husband went inside the AC trailer and was told to step outside to wait to be checked in. It was very hot and he had to wait over 15 min, which in any other day wouldn't be so bad but in the heat, when they had AC inside he could wait, was just not very customer service friendly. Bounced from Willis location to Sunrise despite pre- ordered 15 ft truck. No notification of change and Sunrise had no 15 footers anyway so sent back to Willis. Given upgraded 26 foot truck at same cost (good) but it had zero gas. Offered a $36 gas credit if returned truck at 1/4 tank - but that's $90 of gas. Dishonest.Graeme C.
