In the past U-haul staff accompanied the customers to the truck, which allowed the customer to and staff to see ALL prior damages, dents, etc. that was on the truck. I do realize that times are changing; however, as a customer we should not have to inspect the truck then take a picture and upload any noticeable dents and text back into the office. That small change to provide better customer friendly service is not too much to ask for. This is just my opinion to eliminate an added frustration to truck rental service.Bobbie M.

We rented a box truck and storage unit, and everyone we dealt w at Uhaul made a very positive difference for us at one of the hardest times in our lives, losing our home and facing many unknowns in the future. They wouldn't help us when your trucks wiring wouldn't work on your auto transport. They wanted us to bring it back and swap! We had a antique 70 Chevy pickup on the trailer. It took 4 men and a tractor to get it on and the 20 foot truck was loaded poorly by one of your suggested companies (that's a whole different story). My dad was an investor in your stock the first day it was offered, it's a shame I was treated the way we were. I had to stay on his tail for all 9 hours up to New MexicoCindi M.

Getting the truck was a nightmare. My reservation was first at a location that sells Uhaul packing equipment only. 2nd location did not have the size truck I reserved and was closed. 3rd location was open. When I checked the back of the truck the 2 dollies were not in the truck. I was rudely advised my reservation didn't include any dollies. I was rudely told, I guess we can add them on their. The truck also needs a front end alignment and tires need to be rotated and balanced.Cynthia B.

The pick up and drop off was time consuming. No one explained my credit card was being charged initially for the "deposit" so when I went to return it they asked for payment again. Had to wait for the uhaul to be cleaned out (I swept it before I dropped it off) and then drove it to its parking spot. Not my favorite, not the end of the world either.Nicole W.

The box was delivered to Ft. Worth Texas from Virginia Beach on time and my brother emptied the box on 10/13. On 10/27 I get an email from the Ft. Worth location stating we owe for rental on box in the amount of $108.20. I called this location and they said the box was there and emptied on 10/13 but they never closed the account and recommended I call Corp to have this corrected. After talking to Corp the response was; they would call FT. Worth to see what the issue was and then get back to me via email. I still have not received an email to say the $108.20 was refunded back to card and issue was corrected!! Bad customer service and if I didn't contact them they would of continued to charge CC on autopay due to this location not doing their job!!Gary E.

I turned in the keys personally to an Attendant, and informed her that the rolling Dolly's and upright dolly were on a different day & contract than the truck. I still received a call, asking me to return the equipment. That unnerved me, and made me uncomfortable. The person who called said he would close out try he equipment contract. Additionally, I went twice to your location on Hulen St, and the customer service was rushed, rude & not warm, as it was on Altamesa (the 2 days I visited there). I prefer Altamesa location.Roy W.

truck had a leak in the back where you could see a patch had been welded on the roof where a gash was. Doors had to be slammed several times to latch. Transmission was jerky.Ron K.
I arrived at the facility and attempted to complete the rental through my mobile phone and I was surprised that I had to go through the rental process again (picture of DL, insurance questions, etc.). I was confused by this (I thought I was renting a second truck). So, I decided to go inside and finish there. The person attending the counter was nice enough but she was watching a show on her phone while she was helping me. She finally paused it and completed my rental (she had to go through the process all over again....that is, I saw all the same questions I already answered twice....once for the initial reservation on my laptop and then the second time on my mobile phone when I arrived). Anyway, I completed the rental and when out to the truck. I noticed the gas reading was wrong and the rental time was also incorrect. So, again I was confused by this and I went back inside. Now, I am behind others who are renting trucks and waiting patiently. A different person comes out and asks me if I need help.... and say, "yes". I told her the gas reading and rental period are wrong and she immediately gives me an attitude. She starts going off about an inspectiion email. I was so confused. I was trying to understand and as time went on she became very short and "pissy" with me. I finally came to know that I received text requesting an inspection and had to complete this inspection before I could take the truck. The first woman that helped me never told me this. I walked back out to the truck and I adjusted the gas amount and took the pictures and I was finally on my way. The truck was older (115,000 miles) and smelled like cigarettes. the steering wheel was gross....it was worned so badly it was sticky and gross. When applying the brakes over 40 mph the truck had a bad front end wobble. Anyway, I made it though my move, the truck made it through the move and I am so glad it is over. PS - in order to submit this review I had to answer every single question for raodside assistance which I did not use....why? Please fix your review page.....CRAIG S.

I have been using U-Haul for years and this was by far my worst experience. This has nothing to do with the location or people we worked with, but the condition of the truck. We dealt with a dead battery (lost a day of moving) and the passenger side rear view mirror fell off when the door opened. Very disappointed with the condition of the equipment I received. And when he finally hooked it up i drove it about 30ft to air up my truck tires and he came over and had to double check that he tighten the tongue down which he didnt. The people at the front desk gave us no information about the storage unit. When I bought the unit. I bought a regular lock to lock my storage. When I returned my lock was cut off and a round lock I didn't own was on my storage. After going to the front desk. I was told only round locks could be used. I was not told then when I bought storage locker and lock at the same time. While moving my things into the storage locker. My card was not activated properly and I could not open the door to the storage grounds. I had to hold onto several very large objects over night and wait for the front desk to open in order to get my card fixed. When I asked the front desk person is there any thing I should know cause I was not told about the lock. He said nothing and I asked him I can come back any time. He confirmed that I can go to my storage locker anytime of day or night. I returned later that night only to find out that was not true. My unit was only available to me during working hours and I could not access it at night. I had to upgrade in order to get night time access. I really didn’t understand why I would make a reservation for a unit and it not be available when I go sign in. I was offered a bigger one, but the ceiling was so low, I wasn’t able to keep a few of my items and I had to pay more for it. I feel that we shouldn’t have to pay more to have 24 hour access to the facility if we have to pay more not to have it as well. Trying to talk to someone over the phone was a pain. I do want you to know you may want to watch your video on 7/18/21 afternoon around 2-3pm. Your employee driving your trucks was driving very dangerous..he almost flipped a truck, he was squealing tires as he drove around the corners.. my husband went in to talk to a manager, he was told there was not one on duty.. this employee could have hurt or even killed someone with the way he was driving.
