Michael mcdonald was very helpful and surprisingly personable. My experience dealing with him has restored my faith in Uhaul

Rep was unclear in the rates and that the bill would be charged at the time of the rental. I am used to paying once the truck is returned.

Was not happy that I had to provide an emergency contact that had to be reachable by phone during the check in process.

It was almost closing time, however you never would have known it from the service I received from the agent that assisted me. I really appreciate how he made my experience an easy one.

Better signs directing customers to specific areas for hooking up their trailors.

Under staffed. Took too long with 5 people deep at counter with one person behind counter.

Paid for drop off at location by home . None of the dealers we stopped at would except it . Had to be at hospital with my husband due to a late minute emergency surgery .. explained it to the last dreamer we stopped at and he was rude .. stating wasnt his problem and asked us to leave . Left in tears . Drive hour away to return it

If you tell someone they can check in online, make it happen. I set all this up ahead of time, PREPAID FOR IT, double checked it twice by phone and once in person and all that preparation was wasted. I wasted an hour and a half checkin in for what could have been a five minute process (I was told). What if the office hadn’t been open and I’d been depending on all that to work? NOTHING WAS AS IT WAS PRESENTED TO ME WHEN I PREPAID AND RENTED THE TRUCK. And the manager on duty was quite good at his job, knowledgeable, but the other desk workers at prepay and at dropoff we’re untrained, unhelpful, didn’t care. A total debacle. I’ll never use them again. I’d carry my possessions on my back before using U-Haul. Feel free to call me (corporate), I’m happy to talk to you and give names of your incompetent owners and service folks. The mechanic or truck cleaner who checked me in on his cell did it in about three minutes, fantastic job, that’s how the whole thing could have gone and I was led to believe would go.
