When dropping off the truck the people were very rude on the phone when I got confused on where truck drop off was because gps takes you to the back of the facility and not the front. Ontop of charging me an additional $60 for a â€œmileage overage feeâ€ when I only drove the truck from point A to B and then to drop it offDavid B.

I have utilized this location (Horner BLVD in Sanford, NC) multiple times for moving trucks and storage units. Everyone here is so sweet. Caleb is a gem!! Jennifer is seriously very funny and Jeremy (Manager) is incredible! They will work with you to get what you need and answer any questions. They are amazing!Jennifer E.

I said No to the storage access hours bc I had planned to move some boxes out of the unit after store hours but my U Haul swipe card couldn't be recognized so I had to wait til the store opened the next morning which threw me completely behind moving out the storage unit. Thankfully, I was allowed extra time to move out. Another time we rented a unit & the monies were automatically drafted off our debit card which we never signed up for. I mention this bc I overheard an employee talking on the phone to a customer that had the same situation. I remember the employee saying to the customer... Unfortunately, that happens a lot. U Haul has to fix that problem bc people hv their finances in order to do other things. If they want the monthly payment drafted from their debit card then they would sign up for it. The cargo door was left open in the rain and there was standing water in the back. I had to mop it up with paper towels (mine) and use one of the drop cloths I had bought for another purpose. My boxspring still got wet. Otherwise, I had a positive experience.Kristi S.

I tried to cancel the auto payment, but it didn't accept it online. And took out the payment, and rented it till November 23. We are back at home and moved everything out October 29, 2022. May I please have a partial refund for the time 30 October through November 23, 2022 I didnt find out the payment had been processed until i turned in my keycard to staff and got a receipt.Now I'm being told I not only can't get back in my unit or get a refund for the remaining month! We had already rented from them previously the week before locally and ended up needing a smaller truck to finish. We went inside and made the reservation on Saturday for Sunday. Asked for pick up at 1 pm Sunday for 24hrs. Well we got the truck Sunday and while we were working I looked at an email i received from them stating the truck was due back at 9 am. I had to call and ask why and Jen, I believe, said she didn't know we needed it for 24hrs. She wasn't rude at all but I'm glad I caught it. No one said anything about turning the truck in sooner than the 24 HR period we are charged for regardless. Either way it got fixed. We extended for another day bc we weren't going to finish by 1 so we asked for another 24 hrs. Ok np. Well Monday morning we were putting our stuff in their storage unit we got for a month for free for renting from them, swept the truck and turned it in early. A little before 11am. When I got my final invoice, I noticed I was charged extra days and had to call them again to fix that. So now I'm waiting for my refund. When we called or went inside they were always nice, its just the point moving of any kind is stressful enough without having to make sure their part is correct. Also the storage unit we got was an outside unit and that's fine. Maybe every so often they should sweep out units that are empty or bomb the ones that are prone to get bugs badly. We had a brown recluse we had to kill, and all sorts of nasty dead/alive bugs and spiders in corners and all over the unit. Spider webs everywhere, etc. I'm sure we didn't get them all so now we need to do something to make sure we aren't getting this in our stuff. It wasn't a horrible experience and the employees weren't rude. Just some attention would have made a difference.Angelique F.

Have used this place a few times. The people that work there are AWESOME! The gentleman who checked us in is always nice. He noticed when we dropped the trailer off how the tires didn't have much tread on them. He said this trailer is finished until they are replaced. He was surprised it was rented for our 650 mile trip. Again I do love the Sanford location.Phillip H.

I really like the storage facility but we had gotten one because it said it fit 2-3 bedrooms whoever made the categories did not estimate the living room, laundry room, dining room plus bedrooms and so you thinking you getting a storage that fits a home with 2-3 bedrooms and it was two small need better explanations or estimations to what size unit you made need and this site said split units on website and they don’t even had that unit on site at all. Floors were very clean, staff was great, and customer support amazing. However, it seems that people are dragging roaches in the storage facility and we saw big and small ones. There is possibility that some got in too our stuff. Not sure the fix for it, but definitely a problem. Desk person was polite but not very helpful I was new to the facility and needed help finding my unit. The woman at the desk didn’t walk me to the unit and I had to return to the office to ask for the location. She highlighted an area on a sheet of paper and handed it to me. Once I finally located my assigned unit it was secured with 2 locks and a tag for non payment. I walked back to the office and told her the unit was locked and she assigned me another unit. I asked if there was one closer and she said no. Upon entering the building there was trash everywhere! I just have to give a glowing review about one of your employees, Sierra. Sierra have a nice warm welcome when I entered the building and helped me find the best unit to fit my needs. Not only that, but expressed some concerns over going in a separate building alone and asked about rolling carts. Sierra walks with my to the other building, helps me find the unit (awesome location that fits my needs and limitations) and then helps me unload my car and roll items back to my unit. She went so out of her way. She was incredibly friendly and caring. She even gave my dog love. The prices are fantastic, the facility is clean and the employees are great. I was never actually in the unit. The two units I do have are fine and I expect to be moving out in a few months. The manager, Casey Griffin, is exceptional! Her staff, though not always able to provide answers or resolve a problem, are always very friendly and they do try their best to solve problems. I will tell you that the experience of renting the u-boxes in Napa was nightmarish and I would never use the service again. Why does this matter? Because my husband and daughter are moving here in March and they won’t be using U-haul because of problems I had.
