The tag on the trailer we rented expired 6 months prior to us renting it. My bad for not looking but I asumed it was legal! We were stopped by the Georgia Highway Patrol in the middle of Atlanta traffic!!!!!! He questioned us for awhile, looked at our paperwork and let us go. I have been using UHaul services for the better part of a decade and have never experienced the abysmal assistance and customer service from the associates at this location and at 2395 S Volusia ave, Orange City. The drop off location was wrong when I created the online reservation. The associate was extremely hesitant to assist in changing the location to maintain less mileage. She was very rude and stand-off-ish as if assisting a customer was an inconvenience for her. My sister in law told me she was able to change the drop off location weeks prior while she moved. I went to the other location, where I was told to call the pick up location to have the drop off location changed. After 25 minutes on the phone and several transfers, no one was able to assist and spoke very rude on the phone. They would pawn it off to their manager who would call â€œlaterâ€. Drove back to the Sanford location where I was being told I was being charged for damages for â€œgiving the other store a hard timeâ€. I was told that I didn't â€œconfirm the conditions of the truckâ€. I have always had an associate with me looking at the conditions of the truck and when i mentioned that I was advised â€œI don't have to go out thereâ€. Safe to say I will never be using ANY UHaul services again.BRITTANY H.

We were charged a cleaning fee after being asked if the vehicle was clean. It arrived not clean to us and we had to clean it and also fix the center console. When dropping off at normal business hours, no one was around to receive the truck. I spent time waiting at the drop off like it said on the sign. Since no one was around I ended up using the after hours drop off box and web link.that process takes a while for someone that has never done it before. Actually explain to the customer that there is a link for verifying mileage, gas and damage. I got screwed. Not only was my original reservation changed but than the guarantee was not honored and on top of that mileage and gas in the truck was not correct so when I showed the picture proof they said I wouldn't be charged extra and I was still charged extra. The only issue I had is, when I called and made an appointment for 1pm on a Tuesday when I got there I was told he wasn't doing any wiring work that day after 1pm. I CONTRACTED TO HAVE MY U BOX DELIVERED TO ORANGE CITY FL BUT IT WAS DELIVERED TO SANFORD FL INSTEAD, WHICH WAS INCONVIENIENT. WHEN I PICKED UP THE U BOX , UPON ARRIVAL TO MY DESTINATION TO UNLOAD THE CONTENTS, I FOUND THAT THE U BOX HAD BEEN PUT ON THE TRAILER BACKWARDS, THE DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED COMPLETELY DUE TO THE HARDWARE ON THE TRAILER. I spent over an hour trying to figure out where to get the van. I reserved a location off airport blvd and all of my documentation indicated to pick up there. Security to make sure gas can't be stolen. The truck was supposed to be half full and I even took picture in your app. I was still at drop off told nothing was indicated that paperwork was wrong. It is really very clean but they need to be more helpful when you obtain a storage in walking you over to visually show you instead of highlighting it on a map. It's just not good customer service as I notice other customers were confused and needed help then had to walk over to the office. If they had went over it originally that would be helpful. The employee, Milagros Vega Justiniano, needs retrained. She was incredibly rude to the customer before us and then us. She took my boyfriend's phone right out of his hand (without giving a heads up or asking permission) and ignored my request to return it. When I had a question about the total, she rolled her eyes and was talking very rudely to me, instead of answering my legitime questions. Overall, does not listen to the customer or properly understand what they are saying and was unprofessional. Lastly, there were at least 10 TV protector boxes in the shop for sale, but she said they aren't showing up in the system and cannot sell them. I find it hard to believe there isn't some way to ring it up. Oh, and prior to getting to this shop, we went to the original location our reservation was reserved at and they DID NOT have our reserved truck, so that is why we had to go to the 2nd location in the first place. And I had to pay even more since it was a 'last minute reservation,' even though I did my due diligence and booked 3+ weeks in advance, but again, the original location did not have my reservation, so I had to pay more. Overall, a terrible experience, and I do not want to rent with UHaul again.Caitlin B.

The only reason we had this storage facility, was because the one we originally reserved didn't have what we reserved in the first place?!! So then that other facility "reserved" an additional unit at this facility, and it turns out they didn't really reserve it and this facility didn't even have what we were after again. The facility it self was well maintained but the storage unit had roaches I called several times to get someone to exterminate. Never received a call back from the store manager or anyone. I moved out 15 days after I had paid the months storage and did not get a prorated rate. I also used a uhaul truck to move out.
