I really was impressed with the ease of the process. Your people made it a very comfortable experience. The phone people were great as well; even though I had to wait for quite awhile on hold on two different occasions. That's alright though, because at the moment everything is a little crazy in our world right now and it's hard to be perfect. Bottom line I am very happy with the whole experience. Thank you. I rented a 20' van that had less than 1/4 tank of gas. I drove it 31.5 miles and put back 4 gallons of gas. I was charged 30 for a gas fee. When I called about this the representative was discourteous, would not answer my questions and hung up on me.

When I asked to have my credit card refunded and that we would pay cash we were told that we couldn't do that and the "manager" was very dismissive and refused to explain other than "We don't do it that way."

They young guy Donald in the yard has a bad attitude problem. Acts as though customers are an inconvenience or as if he doesn't want to be there. Don in the office is the one saving grace that keeps me as a customer to this location.

Sign stating that you didn't need to go inside the store when returning truck. I waited a few minutes just to be told to leave the keys in the car and leave.

This is my go-to place when I need a rental truck and this time did not disappoint. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. The only problem I had was with the on-line check-in, but fortunately they were able to get me checked-in at the counter. I also saw that they sell propane @ $2.99 per gal with no minimum, so I'll go there the next time I need a propane refill for my motorhome.

I had reserved a 17' Uhaul truck and when we arrived we were told there were no 17' trucks available so ended up with a 15' truck which resulted in our loaders and unloaders having to make 2 trips as well as I had to pay for the extra 2 hours that took. In addition, you advertise that you open at 7:00 a.m. - no one was there until 7:30.

The manager, Don Sheldon, has ZERO customer service skills. This is the second time I rented at this location. I saw be short with customers previously. On the day of rental, I saw him get an elderly lady upset and be unhelpful to another customer. When it was my turn, he was terse and generally unfriendly. I'll rent from somewhere else from now on.

Although polite enough, I received the vehicle at a quarter tank. When questioned about it, after 20 minutes waiting, I got my contract returned with scribbles on it. He said just show it upon return and I wouldn't be charged for the lack of fuel. I returned the vehicle almost 2 hours early. They didn't want to look at the contract. And asked that I leave it in the vehicle. Luckily I took pictures of the fuel, mileage and contract. The next day I was overcharged for the lack of fuel. Now I'm waiting 3 to 5 days for the refund of the overcharge. Quick to take my money, slow to return it.

I reserved my trailer a week in advance and then drove 2.5 hours to the U-Haul store on my reservation day, and when I got there they only had one trailer that matched my reservation and it had a flat tire, and so was unable to rent the trailer model I had reserved and had to settle for another type of trailer that made my move extremely difficult to accomplish. Then I'm offered the $50 reservation guarantee and it was taken back from my account and I was overcharged and I'm dry upset about my whole experience !!!. The U-Haul yard I went to had plenty of time to change the flat tire on the trailer I had reserved but they were just too lazy !. The promise of the $50 reservation guarantee seems to be a lie ?.

When my husband, age 70, went to return the truck, he was overwhelmed with the directions that would allow us to save $20.00. I would like to suggest that you mention the directions and even offer a tutorial for your older clients. My husband is not in the habit of reading everything he sees, so he was unaware of this opportunity.

fOR YEARS, THAT SANTA ROSA LOCATION WAS THE WORST EVER WITH THE NO ATTEMPT AT ANYTHING EVEN CLOSE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I DON'T KNOW WHEN THE NEW MANAGEMENT TOOK OVER...BUT ITS THEY'VE REALL TURNED IT AROUND. WAY TO GO. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE PEOPLE AT THE 800 TELEPHONE # DO NOT HAVE ACCURATE 411 ON THE DIFFERENT LOCATIONS' INVENTORY.

After visiting a number of locations, this facility was not managed very well, having to wait extended periods for service, having to search out help and ask for help, opening up iate,equipment not available as promised and not accommodating.

Everything was good, however, when returning the vehicle, the sign said wait in your vehicle and a uhaul customer service representative will assist with the return. I sat in the vehicle for about 7 mins while 2 to 3 employee looked at me but walked by and kept working. I finally got out and asked if someone was going to help me and the guy said oh just leave the keys in the van your good. Not the worst customer experience but could be much better. There should have been a proactive approach instead of just looking at me sit in the van without helping me. Wes, at the counter, was fantastic - very helpful and friendly when picking up my vehicle

The customer service was beyond aweful the general manager don I believe his name was yelled at me and was extremely rude and even went as far as To refuse to rent to me ... but once I told him I would call corporate he changed his tune fast ... they also placed my call on hold couple times for long periods of time and then hung up on me ... I will never rent there again and I will let all my friends and family know how horrible I was treated

I called the contact phone number on three occasions to reserve a time to pick up my ubox on a trailer and then to confirm that the time was correct. I made sure I called the day before to confirm this. When I showed up at that time, the staff member at Santa Rosa Uhaul just looked up from his computer and said, "Well, noone told us, so we dont have it." Everyone's time is valuable, so to waste someone's time in this way is unacceptable. Fail.

I said yes to “well maintained” but I noticed a definite shimmy in the steering wheel and I assume that the front end needed alignment. Not really a quick repair and I was very happy to have the truck anyway.

Verify the gas level: don't overstate it so you can charge the customer an outrageous amount per gallon, verify the mileage. Don't charge customers $1000+ when it should be $60. It's a good thing I got fotos.

I didn't get the service technician's name but he was very tall and very helpful. He let air up the tires on my truck and it was all quick and easy. Very quick return.

The after hours checkin was not pleasant. App was almost seemingly ok until I hit some roadbumps. One of them being that the mileage entered when I rented was higher than when I returned it. Good fun sitting out there in a sketchy neighborhood at night trying to figure out how to proceed. Luckily, a couple of your employees were still around and helped me out. Bonuses to them for sure please.

Might I suggest that you do not reserved the same vehicle that is rented to me to someone else until 2 hours after it is supposed to be returned seems to be a lot of traffic and other issues that keep clients from returning in a timely matter and I can see that it causes stress to your employees that have to deal with angry customers.

Picked up trailer 6x12. No precheck. Missing marker light. Checked it out at about 8:10 scheduled for 9. Figured we would need it for the day. Ended up just being a few hrs of work. Brought it back at about noon. Again no check in upon return. No paperwork signed off. We were charged for 2 billing cycles (2 days). I would check you paperwork carefully and make sure you get timed check in receipt even with Covid restrictions.

I was asked to return the truck early so it could be rented by the city. I hustled and made it back early but no change on my bill or even a thank you. Disappointing. Also, I only used one dozen pads but was still charged for 2 dozen.

They didn't have the dolley I ordered. They had a replacement but made me pay the extra $2 for the difference. The truck wasn't where they said it was. The tank was only 1/2 full. I had to come back in and ask for the dolley myself.

This experience with uhaul was a nightmare. After booking more than a week in advance, and following guidelines about availability, I received the call the night before saying there would be a truck available for me at a location 80 miles away. I said fine, so I ride-shared to pick it up, and it was not available and overbooked. I was told it would be available the next day as "u-haul can't control customers extending of rentals", so I I had to get a ride back empty handed. So what is the "guarantee" that is noted in the emails? I ride-shared the next day again and luckily it was there. The people at the location are fine it wasn't their fault, but this reservation practice is a complete joke. When a truck order is placed, availability should be checked immediately at that time and a truck held for the customer. That way alternate arrangements can be made and not get screwed over the day of. Not "we'll check the day before you need it for you". All I kept getting told is "it's not our fault".

When I returned the trailer, the person told me to park it anywhere. I told him I had coordinated the later return with scheduling and that I was told there would be no late fee. He said because of the fires and evacuation, they would not be charging late fees for my return. Nevertheless, I received a late fee charge to my card this morning. Moreover, it seems to me that if your originating store is not able to promptly deliver the equipment, the "clock" on the rental should actually start when I drive the trailer off the lot, not the time my reservation starts. That's the stuff of class action lawsuits.

First the guy at the desk tells my husband he doesn't have a reservation then he says the 17' was never returned. He said he tried to contact me which he never did. He said there were no trucks in a 50 mile radius available. I called corporate they reserved a 10' truck for me. We went back inside and got the 10' truck which he said no one showed up for. We believe this guys lies a lot!!!

My u box was full of mold, mouse poop, and missing items. The staff was rude and unapologetic. I will never utilize a u haul facility again. My original complaint was 5 days ago with no response.
