Don, the manager, runs a nice operation and has trustworthy employees. A staff member found a camera which I had left in the rental truck that I rented for the day. They called me to let me know, It is very comforting to know that honest people are still out there doing good deeds especially in this pandemic hate-filled crazy world. I salute Don and his team. I was not impressed with one of your representatives yelling at a customer on the phone and then when another customer accidentally knocked over your uhaul guy made of boxes he made it a point to be huffy and loudly say, â€œYou couldn't even pick it up?? Ughhhhhh!â€ I'm sure he wasn't having a great day but it was pretty disappointing to witness. Otherwise the guy that helped me was great and my rental went smoothly.Crystal M.

The van I rented was dirty and didn't look like it had been vacuumed in a while...crumbs in the seat and on the floor and hair from a previous customer on the seat. The general manager (no name tag but had an embroidered shirt) is rude to say the least both on the phone and in person and not customer service oriented at all. Extremely dismissive and very abrupt. He definitely needs to be counseled on basic delivery of dressing with customers.FLORENCE D.

These people over-book...The truck we reserved, and confirmed, was not available when we came for it. We were given a 5' smaller truck so had to make an extra trip from home to storage, but Uhaul would not discount us for the extra mileage!!! What a scam!! The lines are out the door and often only one stressed out person working. Average 20 minute wait on phone. From now on it's Penske for us!!Carl K.

Really dissappointed. You gave me a truck that was empty on gas. I filled it twice, spending 45 dollars, even though I only drove like 10 miles. You over charged me & charged 90 something dollars on my credit card because the person before left it nearly empty on gas. I am really pissed off & will never rent from you again. My reservation was for an 8:30 pick up. Truck should have been ready when I arrived. I had movers paid by the hour waiting almost 30 min for a truck. Being told "they can't control the amount of trucks that come in the night before" is not an excuse. You had a reservation you know what to have ready by when.DEANNE C.

Poorly trained staff. When I told him one of the tire on the trailer he was hooking up to my truck he argued with me. I was a truck driver for many years so I can tell a flat tire with a simple kick. After pretty much demanding he check it all I got was oh yea it is flat. Ad this to him swinging the safety chain into my painted bumper I had enough. Guess my truck was bound to get a chip in the paint but figured I'd be the one doing it.Raymond L.
Refilling the vehicle has a scam in it because the company charges to refill but there is no explanation how to save the customer from discrepancies when the customer fills the tank and public gas station pumps won't fill the tank up because of their automatic shut off and the tank odometer tells you you're full of gas. But when you return the vehicle it doesn't have enough gas in it. I absolutely hate you haul and I think all of them are a scam.BILL G.

Inside of the van does not smell good. I asks for another one but it both smell the same. I got a call the next day asking me if I returned the rental which I did the day before. Strange the paper work I received from the desk has a different information about the rental then what I was driving. I was told to leave the key in the rental and leave. It would be good to keep the rental clean and odor free.MEREANI I.
This was the worst rental experience I've ever had. I chose to book my rental online as well as register and pickup my moving truck online. The website is terrible on every level, I was unable to pickup my truck online so I had to go into the store to pickup the truck. Well I went into the store the manager was a complete mess and extremely rude. Every person he encountered in front of me, â€œwhich there were a fewâ€ he was very disrespectful to. I will never rent from uhaul again at this location which is tragic because I've used this location many times over many years.Jason H.

The U-Haul onsite storage unit was both NOT as described (was 2nd floor with NO elevator), and storage area closed at least 25 minutes before advertised closing time (7PM), so storage unit was unavailable when we arrived at 6:35 PM after . Clerk at front desk didn't explain properly that he had no keys to unlock door, but twice gave me a mag-stripe entry card that subsequently didn't work, while my hired worker cost me an additional $25 for extra time spent unloading, taking things up stairs to porch landing outside locked door, then moving things back down and reloading. I immediately cancelled the unit, but even that was not handled correctly. I never even saw the unit because of the above.Bruce G. | Overall Experience
Every day I am in the Santa Rosa location on Santa Rosa ave the big store with storage units I am always greeted by an associate. Day in and day out the team there work very good and make it easy for me to go in and out for me.to get my job done. I can't express the gratitude I have for this store and the amazing service I get that never fails. 15+ minute waits every time I wanted to do anything in the store. The self entry door has a dead bolt on it and it is rarely unlocked and you need to walk up to the store to get someone to open it. My one month was free due to truck rental which is the only reason I used the space. Good to have the experience as I will never consider using this facility for storage if I have to pay. When I retuned my rental I was extremely tired the manager could see that he suggested I rent one more night so I could unload the truck in the morning. I love that I was able to also rent a storage unit at the same location I turn my truck at awesome experience thank youSOPHIE A.

When I arrived, service agent took a call from his supervisor. I was partway through the check in process when he took the call. I waited for at least 10 minutes while he talked to his boss about employees with covid, his family, etc., until I was transferred to another customer service agent. Had to start completely over with my check in. Staff was rude and demanding. My pick up time was set at 3:45pm even though, by the time I was done it was after 4pm. Staff was firm on return by 3:45 or extra charges. I have used Uhaul many times over the years, and luckily this is the only time I have had a poor experience.Jacob G.
They gave us a storage unit on the second floor with no elevator and no one to help move heavy items. I have a bad back and couldn't do it and we don't know anyone in the area to help us unload. We don't have a whole lot of trailer experience, and yet they forced us to back it into a parking space when returning instead of detaching it from our vehicle and parking it themselves. They charged us for a second day extension; it was supposed to be free because they sent us to the wrong drop off place the day before. The original drop off location was 60 miles from the storage unit and 80 miles from our new place. Naturally, I thought that must be a mistake. Your customer service department even assured me that they were in the same town when they were not. The key card also doesn't work and they refused to fix it while we were there.Neil R.

They take to long to assist customers , which is why I tried the app check in check out / on the go . Was a complete waste of time , I / we waited 45 min in line to pick up keys !!! That 45 delay turned into an additional day of cost for truck & crew - not happy just as before . Had the best customer service! This location was so packed and busy, but the staff handled everything very well, and did it all with smiles and great interactions with the customers. I am 8.5 months pregnant and was offered a chair to sit in to wait by staff. And upon returning my equipmemt, was met with the friendliest staff member who was polite, and just as friendly as could be. She had another customer interrupting what we were doing about 3 times, but she was polite and was able to help us both at the same time. Great job to these very hard workers!AMBER S.
