Have some gas in the truck. To give a person a truck with 3/16 of 1/4 tank is absurd. You can't even make it your destination. Interestingly, the gas station is adjacent to Uhaul, so do you have an agreement with them? So a customer is forced to drive directly next door before they can proceed to their destination. Absolutely ridiculous. Takes away from the overall experience...staff and facility are nice, but overshadowed with this foolishness.JODY B.
I was informed that I would be receiving a "one way" trip truck. It appeared to be the worst truck in the fleet. The other 26 ft truck they had an empty gas tank. The truck leaked from the roof leaving water on my furniture. At the drop off location no one seemed to care. I was told,"You need to speak to the location that rented it to you". I called the Miamisburg location. After finally getting someone to answer the call. I was told to speak to customer service. It tooled over 3.5 hours to get a return call. I still need to rent another 26 ft to complete my move. I am not sure if I will use Uhaul again.george D.

Upon arriving to pick up my truck, a portion of my reservation was not available and since I picked up my truck via the mobile app, the physical store was not open yet. This was an absolute horrible experience, the clerks for the most part tried as best as they could to provide good customer service, however the lack of coordination between online reservation and instore reservation retrieval I believe demonstrates a cooperate culture thoroughly in need of significant oversight changes.Hugh T.
Every time I've rented a truck here the first one smells of cigarette smoke. So I have to go through the process of getting a different truck. While waiting for my second truck, I saw a cheaper, weekly price, advertised on a poster behind the counter and I asked to change my contract to the weekly rate instead of the more expensive daily rate. I was assured that on returning the truck, the weekly rate would apply if I hadn't gone over the 750 free miles. But it didn't. I was charged about $50 more than I should've been. When I returned the truck and discussed this I was told that I'd be contacted by a manager but I just got charged the higher, daily rate. Next time I'll go elsewhere to rent a truck.Angela N.

I reserved a utility trailer with a ramp. When I arrived none o for the trailers available had ramps. I was able to make it work for what I needed. When I returned the trailer I brought it to the attention of the person at the desk that the trailer I received was less expensive than the one I reserved and I should be refunded the difference. To me that seems more than fair that I should only be paying for the equipment I received but apparently not to the person working. I was charged for the more expensive trailer that wasn't available.Dan D.

Paid for my trailer on Saturday the 26 of March and scheduled a pick up for Sunday Morning. Arrived at 9:30am and had to wait until after 10Am for the doors to open along with 6 other customers. They never mentioned that I needed a 2" ball for the Hitch which cost me another $32.00. The agent behind the counter was helpful, but the agent outside had an attitude and was of little help. The truck broke down halfway through my move. I was then charged for an extra day when the truck had to be towed. The truck was picked up two hours later from the side of the highway by a tow truck (by 5 pm) and I was STILL charged for a whole extra day WITH dolly rental, even though the dolly was not removed from the truck and still in its original position. When I called the location to let them know the truck was in poor condition from the time it was picked up, they treated me like I was wrong for calling them, were rude and told me I had to call the tow customer service number. Overall the experience was lackluster, we had reserved a 10x10 unit months in advance. On the day we rent the unit, we’re told by manager it is not available and we’d have to take 2 or 3 smaller units each at regular price. Luckily a storage service women named Dewana was very pleasant and de-escalated the situation. She politely explained why the unit we reserved was not available and said on Monday she would call me to offer a bundled price on 2 units for the inconvenience. The unloading garage was spacious and well-equipped with carts, allowing us to unload quickly. The staff is slow, rude and not knowledgeable AT ALL of the computer system. Some the staff acts as if they don’t want to be there in the first place. Very unorganized! There are 3 stations in which they can help customers.... 1- should be for product purchases, 2- could be servicing customers with reservations and unit check in/out, and 3- customers with questions,etc., 2 & 3 should be able to toggle back & forth to accommodate and make the lines move faster. Please ... teach your employees to be courteous & helpful and wear name tags so that patrons know to whom they spoke with and who to report to management so that they may be held accountable for their actions or lack of, good or bad. I only had two occasions in I had to deal with the staff. Checking in and closing out my unit. Both were equally as frustrating! Thank you!craig F. | Overall Experience
