HESHAM MMy rental was delayed due to the incompetence of the crew members on site. I spoke with a representative over the phone and was informed that I would not have issues when I arrive. I arrived at 1:30pm and I did not leave the site until 4:45pm on top of having a faulty tow dolly. Horrible experience !

ERIC RCustomer service was horrible. Not deserving of one star. The wait was long. Prices hire than other locations and the free one month storage fee wasn't honored. The clerk stopped to provide a broom to a customer in storage. The clerk became rude because I needed to contact insurance provider to get my home insurance information. I never had to provide it in the past. I had to wait another 30 minutes because the representative waited on another customer. They had to call our emergency contact person. It was just a horrible experiene.

MAJAHIL CGenerally good. I was initially assigned a locker on the 3rd floor quite far from the elevator. I asked for one closer and they pleasantly obliged. However, the elevator needed maintenance. It had intermittent issues. I was stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes or so before it decided to let me out. I was told I was the 2nd person that day that was stuck in the elevator. They said they had called for maintenance.

The price ended up being 200 dollars more than expected after multiple customer services calls asking how much additional I would owe for switching from a one way to a round trip rental and being told there would not be any additional charges because the additional miles were being wrapped in. There was also no record of me having the truck when I called in to check on this and then a few days later I got another call asking if I had the truck because they were unsure. The checkout process to rent the truck in the first place was extremely difficult because it seemed they placed someone up front without training them first. I will never return to this location and I will warn others about the location.
FAITH SWent inside to figure out where I drop my trailer off. There was someone already waiting. After about 15 minutes there were more people waiting and no associates in site. I walked outside and walked around until I found someone.

My items were damaged because of water. The policy that I chose did not cover the replacement of my items. The agents at the counter were shocked to find out water damage isn’t covered.even though I got the last two payments back it only covered the cleaning of the mattress and not a box spring replacement as my box spring have mold on it from where it had gotten wet. So I’m without a box spring and unable to sleep on my bed currently. That’s my only issue besides that I enjoyed the facility and the care that they show on site.

My ground fault detector was defective, tripped every time I used it. Unable to reset due to 2 hour electricity availability window. Multiple complaints to have the ground fault replaced went unheeded: Manager doesn’t know difference between a GFI and a circuit breaker; insisted that other customers were over-loading the circuit. The result was dead batteries every time I picked up my trailer.

There was an "after hours access" box by the door. But it was never mentioned or offered to us about the ability to access our unit after hours. This would have been nice because we both work later in the evening/overnight and are asleep most of the operating hours. 2, is that the siren/alarms would constantly go off while we were attending to our unit. That was very annoying and very distracting.

Every cent then the elevator been out of order I have to walk up three flight of stairs to get my stuff. So when moving day came I had to buy eight dolly so I can move my stuff all the dolly was gone when I moved in there was about eight mattress dolly and eight flat carts now there only four total. So I'm not happy 😕.

Customer’s are being really inconvenienced when your moving items normally on a time schedule and you get to the facility and the elevator is out or the access sign in is down. Yep this happened just Saturday and I believe the after hours sign in has been down for over a week.

I was trying to get help with my storage number using the intercom on the third floor because the storage that was giving to me had a lot on that I could get in, only to find out that I was given someone else storage. The worker came after seeming frustrated cause it was time for him to be off, he made the comment this would happen when it’s time to get off as if it was my fault I was given someone else unit. So he found another unit only for that one to be for someone as well. Here I’m there with my help with my things unloaded awaiting for the worker to act and say nothing he can do but extent my truck rental, like I done unload my things in everything really. I ask for a bigger unit he said there was none I’m like well can I have two 5by5 cause I can’t load this stuff back up and come back tomorrow I have help now and work tomorrow. Finally he was able to give me the two 5by5 but this was a big inconvenience and not good on y’all part. And plus the elevator was extremely slow. And my helper didn’t expect to be that long nor myself. Crazy experience

One person seems to know a little bit but can not access the computer to give any information. The manager has not returned my calls. I get put on hold and never have my calls answered. I heard an alarm going off and ask an employee if they go and check on it and his reply was “why would I do that”. There are only two of us here holding down the fort. He was walking out of the sliding door when I asked him. My unit was broken into and I can’t get insurance paperwork from y’all. My lock was not cut. I was told that I had $10,000 in coverage and when I reported it I was told I have $1000 in coverage. No-one wants to give me any paperwork, because they can’t access it. I calll every day to no avail.

I physically went to the office and closed my boxes In late September and have been receiving disturbing emails and bills about payment still due. When calling to follow up to find out why I was receiving bills I was told my box was still open I had a lock on it. Something is terribly wrong with the process, the employees and the manager. As I indicated my box was officially emptied, verified by an employee and all locks removed. Obviously they forgot to put it in the system or issued the box to someone else and forgot to put them into the system. For three months this has been an aggravating thorn in my side. I telephone customer service said they would call me back I never did , I called the store manager Kevin directly and spoke to him. What a merry go round trying to convince him that I had officially close my box months ago. I would never use this U-Haul again if somethings so simple as closing a box can become a nightmare what else could go wrong?

Cornelius B | Overall ExperienceFirst impressions are everything and with that said. So far the only thing about this storage is the location. Our first impression of the facility was not very good. The employee at the front seemed like she really didnt want to be bothered. The loading area is full of old junk as soon as you enter the building and it is filthy and smelly. You are greeted by a dirty mattress as soon as you enter the building that smells bad. The building smells bad as soon as you enter and there were roaches crawling in the elevator. My unit was not cleaned at all with chips and dirt over the whole inside u had to sweep it out myself. The person at the front said the maid service would be there later and to just sweep it out to the end of the hall. I returned hours later the dirt and chips of trash were still there. Not a good first impression at all. I would not recommend anyone here. May need to invest in a maid that actually cleans and not leave the junk in front of the entrance for months. Also spray for bugs.

I do have a complaint, then next day that I went to drop off my stuff in the unit, I noticed the latch to close was lose. I went to report it to the gentleman in front office, guy with long hair and he told me that he didn’t have access to his tools because the previous manager had been pushed out of the office and left everything locked. I didn’t need to know that and he didn’t provide a solution. Didn’t follow up with me and I don’t know if that is gonna be a problem long term.

Perhaps, Brittany, if you took a moment to get to know your clients, you would have known my wallet was locked in one of my units rented 5/21/21 and if you retrieve your camera footage you will see me, my kid, and my father in law loading on three separate trips, multiple bags, and my father in law mixed up two bags I was CURRENTLY using with my other bags. In those two bags; there were snacks for my special needs son, his seizure medication, my husbands insulin and syringes, and my passport and my WALLET. When I spoke to you about a late payment initially I was going to call you back when I was not in my car. Then, with all going on in my life, I flat forgot. Then, I planned to pay when Robert reserved the new units (for his belongings and his files), since I would be down there. Somehow I missed all of you during hours you were open and when I went to pay the next few days after that I realized my wallet was missing and honestly thought it was stolen until I pieced the insulin, missing seizure medicine and snacks. Normally I would have noticed this immediately BUT the same day we moved into the facility, my younger sons were with their father, ROBERT (who opened the lockers with free rentals he earned) and my husband CHRIS (bald with glasses) was being rushed back to the hospital from Somerville (to the medical center) That is another reason you will see my father in law on the tapes from last week because my husband wasn’t feeling well. Please keep an eye out for my letter which will come to you online and if need be, certified. Please also provide a name of the supervisor who instructed you to speak to my daughter, threatening her with police and telling her that your supervisor said my husband wasn’t allowed to wait for me in the car, with his eyes closed in the air conditioning, after being in your hot warehouse, the same warehouse your employee (that gave me a tour) told us didn’t get hotter than 80 despite it saying it was not climate control. I found out later he was new, even though your asm is who sold me the spaces. (He is amazing and polite btw) I also don’t think someone looking for a bunch of free space would have purchased a total of 11 bundles between Uhaul and another competitor of yours. I do, as explained to the new guy and Asm on 4/11 and again a few days later to a young girl, have 4918 sq ft and six generations of stuff to move, ALONE. That is how the young girl sold me on these uboxes. Which , for the record, are NOT FREE AT ALL. Delivery alone was almost $300. I was pressured into that transaction she told me to just change the date change the date and guess what? They don’t answer the phone to change it. Next thing( I have SIX boxes and had it not been for my son, all SIX your staff member pushed me into ordering would have been left in my street. So, again my letter is in route. I look forward to a Very productive chat with you and your boss, and the corporate office along with the corporate attorney for Uhaul if need be. I take defamation of my character serious and keep in mind I have numerous friends with lockers there and your staff discussing me to customers is unacceptable. I get you and your staff are all young but making assumptions and poking fun to others or via social media is a huge moral/ ethical issue my book. I suggest you inform your staff to stop , you included, and refrain from ever discussing a customer outside of work. We were planning use the truck to put our things in storage with another Storage Company. Upon arrival were told a 2nd floor storage unit was not available instead it was 1st floor & NOT climate controlled. We called the Uhaul staff where we rented the truck. It is just what we wanted & needed. 2nd floor Climate Controlled. It is a brand new building so very few Spaces are presently Leased. The only concern we have is the RAT trap that was in our unit. I put all my soft goods in Rubbermaid boxes for protection but boxes for the rest. We’ll see & hope/pray the rats steer clear of our stuff. But the staff was great & very helpful.

Love that. One other suggestion for your next mostly RV storage, add a dump station! Would be happy to pay a small fee each time it's used for the convenience and I'm sure others would also. Again all associates are top notch and I really appreciate that!
