Computers were down for 30 minutes. Vehicle appeared clean but 20 minutes down the road my follow vehicle noticed a slice in the rear tire. When I called to use the insurance, it wouldn't work because the woman who made my contract imputed my address, phone number, and did not include my email on the contract, even though it showed correct on the pin pad at check out. So I had to jump through hoops and wait 3 hours to finally have the tire changed.BRANDON S.

Truck was causing me problems was hesitating and when it was hesitating it mad a burning smell. I tried calling Thursday night no one answered. I tried to call and tell them I don't feel safe driving the truck back at night when it's acting up. And me and my daughter not have a ride home. So as soon as I woke up I brought the truck back on the way back the GM of pick up and drop off location called me. I told her situation and that Id was going to take it slow because it was training and snowing out and I didn't trust the truck. I said in about an hour at approximately 11:30 so that would be 12:30. I got there around 12:15. Explained to worker outside situation she said she would be right back she was going to test drive truck. Just before that she said did you go on away with it I said yea that was easier way to get from storage to apartment and to drop off my helpers. She said did you go over 55 I said speed limit is 65 she said that is why. Was back in 5 minutes told GM nothing is wrong with truck I said well she just told me about speed thing no one mentioned that to me. GM argued with me saying she gave me my contract and she never did. She was very rude said she remembered my face knew she highlighted important info knew I signed I remember signing but dont remember getting a copy.this is the 3rd or 4th time I've gotten a truck from this location first truck problem first employee problem. I need another truck beginning of February If I get on it will be from a different location the Detroit ave in Toledo Ohio has become trashy.MINDY S.

This was not the location that I chose when I made my reservation on-line. I thought I was picking up the truck 5 minutes from my location, but ended up having to drive 30 minutes to this location.Be aware the U-Haul is apparently not guaranteeing the pick-up spot. If the web site said that, I missed it.TOM H.

Answer your phones more quickly! Every time I had to call this location I had to wait on hold for 20 minutes or more, listening to your repetitive, annoying "Tired of waiting? You can go to uhaul.com on your mobile device or PC ... etc, etc, etc ad nauseam. When I could not get the van to unlock the ignition, I again had to wait on hold for 25+ minutes for an agent, who then referred me to roadside assistance, where I waited on hold again for another 18 minutes to be told to wiggle the steering column while trying to turn the key. Apparently this is a regularly occuring problem with this model van. Had the agent told me about it when I rented the van, or when I called and described the problem, I could have saved more than half an hour and a lot of frustration. I will probably rent my next truck from someone else who doesn't answer their phones so slowly.Michael B.

They charged me twice. $120+ dollars then another $80+ dollars for an in town, less then an hour 14 mile trip in which the truck was brought back in the condition I got it in AND I put too much gas in it and filled the tank. $200 for less then an hour use and a 14 mile round trip? A reservation and guarantee did not ensure the equipment was on site. My choice was to pick up at another location or wait until the U-haul employee went to pick up another trailer. I had an appointment to pick up a car and neither solution was very good. No apology and no discount was offered for the inconvenience. I had the trailer back early.Frederic B.

Made the reservation on line for the next day and was easy. Picked up our rental and the gentleman went thru the every thing and it was a very easy process. My gf returned the rental on the day agreed on and I received email stating the condition and all of the return and charges. Very easy process and not confusing as it use to be yrs ago... well done uhaulJason C.
The truck was clen and the checkout process was easy. Down sides were : 1- I actually wanted to pickup at a uhaul a few parcels away from where I was going instead I needed to drive significantly longer to a different uhaul location which made it cost a whole lot more mileage wise. An improvement here would be to do a mileage credit for extra mile resulting from the vehicle needing to be picked up from a different location than you chose. 2- I rented a utility dolley and appliance dolley. The were not in the truck so I had to drive back to the uhaul store to pick them up which delayed my project significantly. That kinda stunk but I was never offered anything for having to do that.Justin S.
