Printer didn't work. I had to call customer service to get a receipt after noticing the bad email. I also was unloading boxes that I assumed were welcome for customers who cannot pay for uhaul boxes. Apparently, uhaul doesn't want to help customers, they're worried about making money, so I was getting my boxes out of the trailer, but your csa tipped the trailer and busted me in the head, I fell back and hit the asphalt. The paramedics and ambulance were called, however, your associate didn't make an incident report about it. She ran her self inside and blamed me. I had a whiplash after 1 pm that day, and was very sore head bleeding for a day. Will never rent another. Will hire out next time. Really went down since I worked there. Don't care. No apology. Pathetic. Her name according to the receipt was Leesha, D. Outrageous.

PHOEBE G | Overall ExperienceI picked up the U-Haul, got down the road approximately 8 miles and noticed; 1st the gas tank was just above a 1/4 a tank, not 1/2 have noted on my receipt 2nd the steering wheel was turned 1/4 to the left 3rd the truck shook when I was going 45-60 mph I called and stated I think I need to bring the truck back and explained the issues I was told that they would correct the gas amount from 1/2 to a 1/4, they didn’t. I was told there was nothing they could due about the aligment, as well being assured that the shake would disappear after it was loaded. We drove from Montgomery AL to North Port FL, the alignment was out, obviously the entire way and the shaking never did stop, and my gas was never corrected. I would have to say this was the worst U-Haul rental, most uncomfortable 8hr drive I have ever had with U-Haul. I travel a lot as a nurse and take long contracts but I do believe I will not being using U-Haul again

JOHN MThis location was great, however the Verbena, AL location caused a huge strain on my moving time. I have spoken with several people and was told I would get refunded for the additional day I had to use the truck due to someone not putting the key in the lockbox. I was told I would get a refund, but still have not. Due to me driving an hour to Verbena and not being able to get the truck I reserved, I was unable to get the the help moving that I had planned as well as moving in the rain. It was all planned out perfectly, but this screwed up everything. Not to mention over 5 hours and 78 miles wasted. I had to move the closing on my house a day in order to get everything moved. I have explained this over and over, but am yet to get the refund. All I received was a $50 refund, but not the extra day I had to use. Eric Keith 334-467-5557
ERIC KHave keys in a locker where we can use a code to retrieve them when we do self-checkin/pickup so there wouldn't be any drama when there is a line. Also, ensure dollies and any other pre-ordered items are already loaded onto the truck.

CORDELIA Y | Overall ExperienceI would not recommend this storage unit to friend due to my storage area not being secured properly and my things were stolen out of the unit. The manager(Leesha Davis) of the Facility 2333 E South Blvd Montgomery, AL 36116 could not tell me when the theft occurred. She just noticed that day, the storage door was open and gave me a call. This shows me that the staff does not monitor the facility properly. She stated she would review the Security Video, but it would take some days and would call me back. She never called back. I asked if my January 2025 payment could be reimbursed back to me and she stated "she couldn't because the account has been closed".
Sheila B | Overall ExperienceAfter loading the truck, driving to the new location, the truck stopped in the street while attempting to back into the driveway. Roadside assistance contacted "Big Foot" to come out. We had to wait over two hours for them. They said that the battery was shot, which they replaced. After replacing the battery, they found that there was no oil in the truck, we had to wait for them to go and get some. We were unable to complete the move, the movers were held up and I had to extend the return time. The truck was an older model and hard to shift gears.

ALVIN WLet’s go to the basic . Try having the check out associate coming inside to discuss the finial bill total. Some cards are puts down to reserve the card and may not be the intended card or desired method of payment. I’ll never seen her there . I rent from here all the time for MPS. Send her back to whatever location she came from.

RENARD J | Overall ExperienceThere were many scratches and dings on the van that were not marked. I did not get the phone link in a timely way to note the damage. I had to go inside and get someone to come back to the van and verify the damage. The truck had only 1/8 of a tank of gas in it. That meant I had to stop and get gas before proceeding on my trip. There was a strong smell of vinegar in the truck (!). And there was a tire pressure gauge warning on the dash board with wildly different tire pressures in three tires, and no reading for the fourth. I use this facility a lot and this is the first time I've had bad experience like this. Disappointing.

TANEISHA CThis was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. They sent me to three different locations until I had what I needed. The original reservation location, was closed when I got there because the front desk woman was asleep. Then she sent me to a different location because she didn’t have what I needed, yet I had the reservation and it was right there the size trailer.

MARK MOverall this experience was excellent: everyone we talked to and worked with were great. The only thing I would say is that there were way too many texts requesting info, etc. We found these were unnecessary, were cumbersome, and added an unnecessary burden to the experience -- as everything that was asked for had been already addressed personally by U-Haul staff. All in all though, and excellent experience! Thank you!

Both were customer service phone agents. The entire experience was awful other than 2 people willing to listen before reciting something they have said 100 times that day already.

The storage manager Ms.Lesha informed me that if I didn’t lock the storage that it’s free game for anybody to get my stuff in her facility and it’s nothing she can do about it. In other words she don’t care!!! I have never experienced a business treating a customer the way she did me with no regard to what I had to say with no type of assistance trying to help me locate my items just plan o idgaf excuse my verbiage but that’s exactly what she displayed to me..

Friday morning the one female was so knowledgeable and professional even with multiple people checking in. BIG Ups to the young lady that keep the storage facility clean and fresh when customers have left their trash behind. I really appreciate you!!!! I have in the past and is currently using this facility for storage. I have also used their vehicles at 2333 E South Bivd. There are businesses that are closer however there customer service or inventory left something to be desired. This has become my one stop shop. Lines are long at peak hours, but that's when I have witnessed lazor focus sttention on the customer that is before them. If you have ever had an issue that's when you truly realize that they are worth the wait. I have seen a couple these ladies and gents this Labor Day weekend. I told her she could call me before she cut my lock because I was only 3 minutes away. Also I was racially profiled by a customer just because I came in to pay on my storage unit. I expect compensation when I find any missing property because that lady had no right cut my. I will never go to a u-haul store ever again because I could have got in trouble the customer who racially profiled me because I almost snapped

Jennifer S | Overall ExperienceUnit size is not true to truck size. Climate control could not have been set as stated because wood furnishings dried, split, and had to be thrown away. Not to mention rodent droppings and the amount. Restroom and water fountain has been out of service for a while. A customer asked to used the bathroom inside the store and due to prejudgement, she was denied access. Also U-Haul doesn’t seem to have standards nor acknowledges faults. To U-Haul, the weigh of who’s right, wrong, and U-Haul will do nothing about it is store management discretion. With little to no needs, U-Haul is above the current competitors but in my case, U-Haul has fallen into the category of the rest.

I explained, I didn’t ! She said you still coming Friday? After agreeing to Friday payment. The young lady thought she ended the call with me. I over head her discussing that I’m questioning her about a rate change and she doesn’t have to tell me ( profanity) . She also stated I don’t pay on time anyway. She discussed that I was wrong about storage 01620 due date being changed due to employee placed my storage as though I moved out so manager started my storage over only charging me insurance and didn’t change due date to original date becasue I didn’t have paperwork for proof of open date. Paid account out to make arrangements to relocate my items.

YOLANDA T | Overall ExperienceI had a storage unit and I fell behind I talked to the manager Brandon and he extended it for 1 months when I call to explain what happened the employee in February told me my items would be sold so I did not worry about it because at that time it was little over two hundred dollars. Two months later I got a notice from until about payments on the unit. I answer all emails gave them my new address and phone number two different times. I called the unit and requested to talk to Brandon and I got no results. I was transferred to a place in the company when the phone is busy and left msg. The gentleman I talk to said I could not make double payment to catch up. I am a disabled vet that cannot afford that much and now I think they gave me the runaround until the bill got high as it is.i have moved 50 or more with uhaul and did not have problems but I guess it went to the wrong site and got cheated. I tried to catch up but no one would answer or get back with me. Thank you for hearing me out.

He is the epitome of what great customer service should be. I don't know the other young man's name that was working but he was great as well. We had a box of trash that needed to be discarded but the dumpster was on the back so he told my husband just leave the box at the door he would make sure it was discarded. We are older people and that ment a lot to us.

Had a reservation number and when I arrived they told me they had no units available so I would have to go to another location. The location they recommended was closed on that particular day. The staff was kind to work with me and offer 2 of the 5x10x10 units that they did have available. The problem lies with the booking process when calling uhaul. Don’t allow a reservation for a unit that is not available and does not exist. That causes a lot of headache for the customer and the facilities staff.

I was told that my 26ft truck can be pulled into the storage on the part that was assigned as I proceed to do so I hit the top part..so why did that happened because they failed to tell me that it's broken & now I can't pull in. This is after I go & ask why was I told to pull in knowing their pull in space is broken. I don't not like being misinformed. The damage was not much because I was backing up slow...But just imagine if I wasn't. Because of this information was very important...so yes im dissatisfied with this particular part of my move..The other part was compensated. This was 1 of my worst moving. From being taken off the reservation list that I made 1 month prior to bring told I can pull up & unload to having a minor accident then get told our pull in is broken....I fell very disappointed

Constance J | Overall ExperiencePoor experience began on Mobile Hwy which latter created an issue at this location. Same is true with the final truck rent. This location claimed there was no one way rent truck for me as far as Salma only to learn leaving the location and 30 minutes prior to closing there was one on Mobile Hwy. After renting and dropping off, what was informed was learning to not be the end result. U-Haul nor it’s staff in that error does not seem to keep or honor their word even when after holding the phone extensively to make reservations and constantly hear the call is being recorded, does U-Haul see that Customer satisfaction is priority. I’m a very unhappy customer due to my experience and as soon as I empty my last two units, I plan to never do business here again via truck and units.

If visiting Facility, show patience and courtesy to Uhaul and employees; they are currently in the process of converting an abandoned facility into a functioning, reliable storage facility. I am confident that the facility will improve over time, but my review was current from early 2021.
