This location itself was fine, but I have huge complaints about the U-Haul company as a whole. We originally made a reservation to pick up a van at the location in Auburn, but were called about 20 minutes before the pick-up time to let us know that they didn't actually have the van we had reserved. It was only after we started complaining that they went to work to find us another van, and it wound up being in Montgomery. Once we arrived, we were able to pick up a van. However, I did notice that the customer ahead of us had similarly made a reservation for today, then suddenly found that they didn't have his van ready and had pushed his reservation back to later in the evening. I don't know if this is the result of poor planning, overbooking, straight up not caring, or some other cause, but this shouldn't be happening to multiple people so frequently. I also noticed that the service representative in Montgomery--who was very helpful, efficient and polite--was overworked because he was alone.Dominica A.

Perhaps, have more out of town vehicles available. There are plenty of local trucks but no out of town. I have been trying to move my son to Atlanta for over three weeks and there are no 15-20 foot trucks available. I understand his is because of high request for student during this time of year, that's why I am very patience.James J.

I get that staff is limited these days, but to negate the customer service experience is no excuse. There is definitely a need for retraining. The level of service received was so disrespectful. Waited for over an hour to get a truck that was already reserved. Then all the screen shots of personal info to a phone like my I.d. Was alarming. The key pad to POS system clearly stated for me to swipe i.d. On debit machine, yet employee is taking a picture of front and back to a cell phone. When I asked how can I locate the truck given that I was just given the key and sent if door, the employee just looked at me and stated the number is on the key. That still doesn't tell me where to located the number on the truck. Poor poor poor service.Christopher D.

When starting the cargo van, a message was displayed that said the left front tire needed air. I brought this to the attention of personnel at the site. They supposedly put air in the tire, but the message was displayed during the entire rental period. Because this was an in-town rental, I thought it was a little bit OK.Michael O.
Location was abandoned for some time, and Uhaul has only recently moved in. Uhaul facility was soft open, and needed much interior and exterior maintenance. If visiting Facility, show patience and courtesy to Uhaul and employees; they are currently in the process of converting an abandoned facility into a functioning, reliable storage facility. I am confident that the facility will improve over time, but my review was current from early 2021.Matthew K. | First Impressions
This Uhaul facility is located at what was an abandoned retail store (think Kmart, Target, etc.) The parking lot shows plenty of signs of deterioration from lack of maintenance. The facility interior is extremely spacious, but the ceiling had some missing tiles, including a few over some of the climate controlled units. These complaints should be weighted that Uhaul only recently moved in and, at the time, wasn't at 100% open capacity. If you are interested in doing business here, be patient, courteous, and understanding with the company and employees. Given time, I am confident that these issues will be resolved. For now, I am reviewing the state of the store as of early 2021.Matthew K.

It is unfortunate this location does not offer a military discount, especially considering the large population of moving military members each year who often select to Do-IT-Yourself move when relocating within the continental US. It is disappointing that the website lets you book dolleys and equipment within the trucks, but they are not necessarily guarantees apparently depending on pick up times and manager decisions to give them away earlier. It was nice of this location to understand about us being a couple minutes behind for pick up or drop offs.AARON V.

We had to go to THREE different places to finally pick up our equipment. It was a NIGHTMARE. I chose the mobile pick up so that we could pick up early morning on a Sunday. We got to the place where I made the reservation and there was no equipment there. My account then told me to go to a second location. We drove over there and saw the equipment but that location was not set up for the mobile pickup and said we would have to wait until 9:00AM when the place opened to get our equipment. It was 6:45 AM and I had movers scheduled to come at 8:00 AM. After spending time on the phone with the UHaul people, they found a truck for us at a THIRD location that was set up for mobile pick up. So 45 minutes and three locations later, we finally had our equipment. After spending time on the phone with the UHaul people and all this mess, I was suppose to be getting the $50 reservation guarantee back, but have yet to see that. This was a complete headache and I would NOT recommend it.Laura S.
