Montgomery Did not put in an address for drop location.I called last Saturday may30 and confirmed the location I wanted. Some how national call line didnot make the change , but said they did. I took Trailer to that location was unhooked and national would not let me drop. .we had to rehook and take it to some address they then texted me. That location was behind some apartments with no one manning the window. During regular business hours .I had to call national . They got some one to meet me to remove the trailer. She was small and weighted maybe 90 lbs. . She was very nice . I am dealing with an injured back ,so it was hard to get the trailer off my car. This confusion caused me about 1 hour & half of wasted time on your mistake . This is not the way you treat a repeat customer. I am very unhappy with U-Haul. I should have been able to drop the trailer where i asked in montgomery and reconfirmed with national on may 30. After along day of moving national should have been able to fix without drop fee.

Overall we were pleased with the service. Our journey consisted of loading 10 U-Box in Washington state, which we broke up into 4, 2, 4 at different times. We did also use U-Haul labor to help with the heavy items. Then a cross country journey of 2800+ miles to Alabama. The U-Boxes were kept in storage for 1 month in WA and then 2 months in Alabama. We retreived them 4,3,3 at each time to ease the unload process. The staff, drivers, and phone contacts were all pleasant, professional, and prompt through the entire process. Those locations were Bremerton Washington and South Montgomery Alabama. In addition we compared costs and services with other movers and found U-Haul to be more convenient and economical. We recommend the U-Haul U-Box moving option.

I scheduled a truck two months in advance. There was no truck available for me. U-Haul needs to do it better in providing equipment at location requested. I was able to get a truck but cost me at least two hours driving time and gas not satisfied with the scheduling process. I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t called to verify my rental.🤬

This is the best Uhaul location that I’ve read it from and have used them for years then to find out that the manager was on vacation the employees there was her absent were wonderful happy smile, and appreciative. I would recommend living in Montgomery the best place to go there is no falls in the employees right great.

The only thing I disapprove of was the gas mileage because I put the gas right back where it was and they charge me money for the gas and I have proof that I went to the store right down the street and put the gas right back where it was when I received it

The staff were very unhelpful with instructions on how the u-box process worked. They just expected me to know and told me there was a box around back and to go ahead and load it. I had to ask numerous times for more information about locks, pads, etc.

This is the uhual location I originally booked with it was the one on the eastern blvd and they didn’t had what I needed I booked a van and they never have enough trucks. Went to pick up my truck and was told to go to a different location out of my way. Not only was this an inconvenience but also had to pay more money out of pocket.

You guys were terrific!
The only issue, which I reported on both ends, was that the uBox was cheap
Plywood construction. The left side had absolutely no brackets and I had to call the Montgomery branch after dark to send a guy out to close the door! The entire box squeaked and leaned the entire time so I “white-knuckled” it while it was transported from Alabama to Maine.
This was a UBox way past its time!

First thing, any time I tried to call the facility, it would route back to the main line. And then the main line would try and connect me to the facility and then the process would repeat itself - very poor communication.
Second thing, I tried to contact the local facility for the delivery window of the pod so I could be there within the correct time, no information was passed along. Eventually, I was given a window between 9AM-4PM, which again doesn't do anything. The driver never contacted me on when they were suppose to arrive to location ( was told they would contact me 30 minutes prior and they never did). Pod did not get delivered in that time window, it was delivered at 7PM.
Third thing, the U-Haul facility screwed in a large bolt through the door into the pod frame, preventing me from opening the door. The driver then handed me a pair of pliers in order to try and unscrew it ( what kind of customer service is that???). The pliers did not work as you needed a socket wrench. Luckily for me, a good neighbor had a socket wrench and was able to unscrew the bolt loose, which allowed me to unlock the lock and open the door. It was another hour before I could even open the door - 8PM. Four hours after the backend of the time window I was given for delivery.
Fourth thing, I have no idea as to why U-Haul keeps sending me transactional receipts, as the immediate thought in my head is "oh look they charged my card again for whatever reason". Very sketching system you have there.
Very disappointing in the receiving end of the moving pod, whereas the original drop-off / pickup on the front end was a great seamless process.
Will really consider other options in the future if I need to move again.

I rented a 5×5 unit and a 26' Uhaul truck for June 1 2025... I was unable to enter the unit...Due to the system was down... At the time of check in at Uhaul... I wasn't informed by the Clerk that the system wasn't working... I had to return the Uhaul and my furniture tables, Washer and Dryer and Refrigerator I had left to be storaged I had to throw away those items. If I knew I wasn't going to be able to get into the unit at 6pm.... I would have made that my first stop.... Now I'm out of my Items....I asked the Clerk for a refund of the $12 since I never accessed the Storage Unit and Nor do I need a storage unit now ...And Lessa said no I can't even get that back... I have Used Uhaul a few times and this has never happened to me...

I would not recommend this storage unit to friend due to my storage area not being secured properly and my things were stolen out of the unit. The manager(Leesha Davis) of the Facility 2333 E South Blvd Montgomery, AL 36116 could not tell me when the theft occurred. She just noticed that day, the storage door was open and gave me a call. This shows me that the staff does not monitor the facility properly. She stated she would review the Security Video, but it would take some days and would call me back. She never called back. I asked if my January 2025 payment could be reimbursed back to me and she stated "she couldn't because the account has been closed".

Some items were stolen from my unit while I was in the process of moving. The storage manager Ms.Lesha informed me that if I didn’t lock the storage that it’s free game for anybody to get my stuff in her facility and it’s nothing she can do about it. In other words she don’t care!!! I have never experienced a business treating a customer the way she did me with no regard to what I had to say with no type of assistance trying to help me locate my items just plan o idgaf excuse my verbiage but that’s exactly what she displayed to me..

Shout out to Brandon, Marilyn and Aaron E. For holding that front counter down. BIG Ups to the young lady that keep the storage facility clean and fresh when customers have left their trash behind. I really appreciate you!!!!
I have in the past and is currently using this facility for storage. I have also used their vehicles at 2333 E South Bivd.
There are businesses that are closer however there customer service or inventory left something to be desired.
This has become my one stop shop. Lines are long at peak hours, but that's when I have witnessed lazor focus sttention on the customer that is before them. If you have ever had an issue that's when you truly realize that they are worth the wait.
I have seen a couple these ladies and gents this Labor Day weekend. So, If you see them tell them keep up the good work and Leslie aka Big Mama sent you!!!

We had a billing issue with a credit card on file. Aaron Ervin took such good care of me and went above and beyond the call of duty! He needed to make several calls with me and corporate and even followed up. Always pleasant, concerned and took the time to get everything straightend out. Not everyone will do that anymore so he is certainly a very bright spot in your company. Give that man a raise!

I had the worst experience because my lock was cut off my unit and I was told by the lady who cut it she cut the lock because she thought I had 2 storage units. I told her she could call me before she cut my lock because I was only 3 minutes away. Also I was racially profiled by a customer just because I came in to pay on my storage unit. I expect compensation when I find any missing property because that lady had no right cut my. I will never go to a u-haul store ever again because I could have got in trouble the customer who racially profiled me because I almost snapped

Unit size is not true to truck size. Climate control could not have been set as stated because wood furnishings dried, split, and had to be thrown away.
Not to mention rodent droppings and the amount.
Restroom and water fountain has been out of service for a while. A customer asked to used the bathroom inside the store and due to prejudgement, she was denied access. Also U-Haul doesn’t seem to have standards nor acknowledges faults. To U-Haul, the weigh of who’s right, wrong, and U-Haul will do nothing about it is store management discretion.
With little to no needs, U-Haul is above the current competitors but in my case, U-Haul has fallen into the category of the rest.

The parking lot is really dark starting at 5 ish in the evening. Being a young female, I don’t feel comfortable going in my storage alone. I don’t feel like it’s safe when it’s so dark. Especially around the entrance into the actual storage units closer to the end of the building.

No mailed information that rates changed. When I received called from uhaul to come in to make a payment. I explained I will be in Friday and the young lady stated I will notate the account. I asked the staff member to explain the rate change the young lady couldn’t explained instead she gave me attitude. She stated, I don’t know and you should have received something in the mail! I explained, I didn’t ! She said you still coming Friday? After agreeing to Friday payment. The young lady thought she ended the call with me. I over head her discussing that I’m questioning her about a rate change and she doesn’t have to tell me ( profanity) . She also stated I don’t pay on time anyway. She discussed that I was wrong about storage 01620 due date being changed due to employee placed my storage as though I moved out so manager started my storage over only charging me insurance and didn’t change due date to original date becasue I didn’t have paperwork for proof of open date. Paid account out to make arrangements to relocate my items.

I had a storage unit and I fell behind I talked to the manager Brandon and he extended it for 1 months when I call to explain what happened the employee in February told me my items would be sold so I did not worry about it because at that time it was little over two hundred dollars. Two months later I got a notice from until about payments on the unit. I answer all emails gave them my new address and phone number two different times. I called the unit and requested to talk to Brandon and I got no results. I was transferred to a place in the company when the phone is busy and left msg. The gentleman I talk to said I could not make double payment to catch up. I am a disabled vet that cannot afford that much and now I think they gave me the runaround until the bill got high as it is.i have moved 50 or more with uhaul and did not have problems but I guess it went to the wrong site and got cheated. I tried to catch up but no one would answer or get back with me. Thank you for hearing me out.

I don't know the other young man's name that was working but he was great as well. We had a box of trash that needed to be discarded but the dumpster was on the back so he told my husband just leave the box at the door he would make sure it was discarded. We are older people and that ment a lot to us.

I will never ever use your storage again because my storage was March 28th,2023-April 28th, 2023 and I paid it early because I didn’t exactly when I was moving. So I got my things out the storage on April 1st, 2023. I didn’t use the storage but 3 days after my storage was due. Difficult lock latch. Hard to get latch in slot to secure with lock. When really busy, which seemed to be most of the time, it was hard to get assistance. Need more trucks for one way.

The manager was very unprofessional with a nasty attitude. I would never use this location. My storage unit was the wrong size instead of making the adjustment when I got there they gave me a hard time l. So I ended up having to buy 2 storage units verses one.

Booked a 10x10x10 unit 2 months in advance from my move. Had a reservation number and when I arrived they told me they had no units available so I would have to go to another location. The location they recommended was closed on that particular day.
The staff was kind to work with me and offer 2 of the 5x10x10 units that they did have available. The problem lies with the booking process when calling uhaul. Don’t allow a reservation for a unit that is not available and does not exist. That causes a lot of headache for the customer and the facilities staff.

The young lady thst initially helped us never processed our paperwork and it was because we did not get an access card we came back in to discover this major error. Perhaps better training for yiur Nee employees or not leave them without the manager. Joe who was there at night was a dream! Super nice and accommodating! I-Haul redeemed!

I have a complaint. I was told that my 26ft truck can be pulled into the storage on the part that was assigned as I proceed to do so I hit the top part..so why did that happened because they failed to tell me that it's broken & now I can't pull in. This is after I go & ask why was I told to pull in knowing their pull in space is broken. I don't not like being misinformed. The damage was not much because I was backing up slow...But just imagine if I wasn't. Because of this information was very important...so yes im dissatisfied with this particular part of my move..The other part was compensated. This was 1 of my worst moving. From being taken off the reservation list that I made 1 month prior to bring told I can pull up & unload to having a minor accident then get told our pull in is broken....I fell very disappointed

I was Locked out My storage room for 3 Months still paid on time Being told The only person that could preform a cut lock only come by every now and then I was told I would receive call backs I was told I would be Giving a Discount for the inconvenience none of that Ever happened this has been the worse experience and on top of that when I Finally Paid a Lock Smith to Get in Some of my Items was wet From Water Getting in Unit and there was Mice Dropping inside the unit I'm very Disappointed in the experience I Had I just removed my items and went to A Different storage facility

Poor experience began on Mobile Hwy which latter created an issue at this location. Same is true with the final truck rent. This location claimed there was no one way rent truck for me as far as Salma only to learn leaving the location and 30 minutes prior to closing there was one on Mobile Hwy. After renting and dropping off, what was informed was learning to not be the end result.
U-Haul nor it’s staff in that error does not seem to keep or honor their word even when after holding the phone extensively to make reservations and constantly hear the call is being recorded, does U-Haul see that Customer satisfaction is priority.
I’m a very unhappy customer due to my experience and as soon as I empty my last two units, I plan to never do business here again via truck and units.

Lady at the front desk was so rude. I asked her to show me the unit and she refused. She only showed me on the wall but refused to take me to the actual unit. Was not friendly at all. Once I paid for my unit. She didn’t even tell me where my unit was located. I had to constantly drive around to find it on my own. Will never come here again.

This facility is air conditioned and has a storage restroom. It also has loading carts and is clean. The parking lot could use some paving but overall this is a great facility.

Location was abandoned for some time, and Uhaul has only recently moved in. Uhaul facility was soft open, and needed much interior and exterior maintenance. If visiting Facility, show patience and courtesy to Uhaul and employees; they are currently in the process of converting an abandoned facility into a functioning, reliable storage facility. I am confident that the facility will improve over time, but my review was current from early 2021.
