It is a little tricky when you are arriving to pick up your rental vehicle to find out where to park your personal vehicle. It would be great if there was some sort of note on the website stating that parking at Publix is available. Having said that, trying to cross 41 is not ideal, but the customer service and the vehicle quality was excellent so it made the whole experience very positive

The customer service people did not want to unhitch my trailer because it was raining out. I waited five minutes in my car while the rain subsided and realized that there was a canopy above my trailer that would protect the customer service from the rain. I went back in to the U-Haul and ask them to unhitch my trailer, but they said that some water still comes through the canopy. I went outside and waited, and other U-Haul rentals were starting to fill up the parking lot. At that point a customer service agent did come outside and unhitched my trailer, but did not have a very good attitude about it. He had a raincoat on. he let the trailer arm just fall to the ground. I felt that all three customer service agents in the U-Haul had a poor attitude.

Seemed like we were an inconvenience to both men we interacted with. We had amazing customer service at pick up, roadside service, and with load in and load out help. It sucked to end on such a negative note. Tell the people in Sarasota to try and at least smile or say thank you. They were awful.

40 year old man working at U-Haul wanting to act like a tough guy because my sister in law works for the company and has a SMID number I asked to use for the discount giving me the hardest time about it and ended up not giving it to me for no reason at all buddy’s mid 40s working the counter at a U-Haul insane stat

The gentleman who checked me in for pick up was courteous, knowledgeable, while getting me on the road in a timely manner. Then upon return the other gentleman that assisted me with checking the truck back in was awesome at explaining how the final charges/bill would be adjudicated using my card on file. I would recommend this UHaul location to anyone looking for a smooth moving or rental experience.

The UHaul rep who is not sitting in an actual brick & mortar store (maybe in a regional office or head office) reserved for me to pick up 2-in-1 utility dolly but the person in my pick up store said that it is not possible to reserve it a head of time because it might not be available in the same store on the day of picking up the truck. It seems that there is a disconnect between the two UHaul offices/stores and caused inconvenience to my move-out. Luckily, an appliance 4-wheel square thing was available. If not for that, I would not have had anything to help me to move out.

If you reserve a dolly, then have one available. I was lucky to have gotten one, only because another agent overheard my complaint and bothered to go look as the agent I was working with assumed they didn’t have any available. Had it not been for him I would have been extremely upset as the distance I had to go with box by box would have made my loading nexto impossible. Also it would have been nice to have had the vehicle preloaded with the blankets and dolly, as it was pouring rain and I got soaked having to load up the truck. The truck was backed so tight to others that I had to pull it out first then load it up. You provide the equipment but the service leaves a lot to be desired. After returning the truck I now realize the service depends on which agent you get. The one receiving was very helpful, and could take lessons from the sitting keyboard puncher.

I was extremely happy with my experience and how they accommodated me at the last minute. When I reserved, I selected the incorrect date when booking online. They ended up providing me with a last minute arrival, as the move needed to take place on that day!! It really helped me out and I appreciate that greatly.

The lot upon return was extremely crowded with many rental vehicles and limited space, and parking where instructed by staff was difficult...staff was also extremely unhelpful and tried to avoid interaction and helpfulness....instructions to properly return the vehicle were not clear at this location...staff appeared to want it to be a "self service" return which was not possible considering how crowded it was

When I arrived my driver did enter in the exit driveway by mistake. When we entered there was an older male employee that was rude almost yelling that we came in the wrong entrance. Yes we realized it after we turned but the way he approached the situation was a bit uncalled for. the truck itself was clean but sounded like it hadf an exhaust leak the entire trip. at low speed it was bad until you hit highway speed at least 65 it melowed out. I do know trucks as I have drive non CDL commercial trucks everyday. It was a bit annoying for a 1150 mile trip. Laastly when I arrived I was told to open the app prior to leaving the facility. I could not open the app as it was saying server faluire. I went back inside the location to report the damage I did see before leaving and was told just to take a picture with my phone.

It would be helpful if someone would come and explain a few of the amenities on a vehicle especially if it is new which this one was. Also when I made the reservation the first thing out of the agents mouth was "do you have a major credit card?" Nice customer service.

This is a busy place with lots of rentals, large and small. It was a challenge getting in and out due to the limited space. the staff was very helpful

Nothing at all. They had plenty of help and were quite busy. Regardless, they made a point of acknowledging me and letting me know that they would be right with me. Drop off was a snap and I was on my way. Very professional and friendly. Next time I need a truck in the Sarasota area, I will be going to this location!

When I pulled up at my pickup time they tried to tell me to come back tomorrow as they were not feeling like walking outside to get the trailer hooked up. Every customer in the building was fustrated as the workers didn't want to help and were waiting for 7 pm so they could go home. They told another cleint that they have to come back in the morning and sent them away empty handed even when they had their trailer paid for and everything was ready. When I returned the trailer,it was the exact same issue. 6 people were waiting in line and all fustrated because the employees were saying that it might rain and lightning so they can't help. Lack of better words, It really was a shit show and all the employees seemed to be lazy and grumpy. I will put in a good word fo the guy in the back of the property that came and helped me unload then. NOTE: LET ME KNOW IF THE BUSINESS IS FORSALE AS I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN TURNING THIS PLACE AROUND. BUT THE WAY IT IS RUN RN, I DON'T THINK I'M RENTING FROM HERE AGAIN.

Better communication. I dropped off late in the evening. I was scheduled to have the truck 4 days and got it back to you all in 3 days. There was no where to park. The lot was beyond full and then they ripped me off the next day on the fuel.

Customer Service is not a top priority at this location. Both picking up and dropping off. Your spoken to like a criminal and rude. I was almost given a truck with no air conditioning. The truck they gave me ran like crap! So your trucks should be taken out of service to preform maintenance. Upon my rental return 3 hours before I had to I found two customers waiting in line and no one in the office to assist. One of the vehicles return employee came in to help. I spoke to the customer in front of me who also had the same experience. His rental was even horrible and he had to return it Your establishment will lose revenue if your establishment continues to work in this manner I will not use this location again.

I waited about 10 minutes in the office without receiving any assistance, even though employees were present. I had to complete the pickup through the U-Haul app, which was quick and easy. However, my truck was not ready, and I spent additional time searching for it. When I asked an employee for help, he was reluctant and not very helpful. The truck was parked behind several others, so they had to move multiple vehicles before I could leave. Overall, I lost about 45 minutes, arrived late to my destination, and had a very disappointing customer service experience at this location.

Aaron is amazing! 5 stars across the board. Unfortunately, the young lady that was working with him when I returned my equipment on Monday, June 22, 2026, was extremely rude, unprofessional, and spoke with complete and utter ignorance to me. Accusing me of “getting slick with her“. And then muttering under her breath, “shit”. I simply wanted to wait for a print out of my receipt. Apparently that was too much to ask and completely put her out. I would not recommend this location while she still works there. I’m not using this location for my next rental tomorrow.

I went 17 miles. I put back in almost 2 gallons of gas right before I returned the truck. I then caught on the bill you charged me for 7 gallons of gas when I told you I put gas into the truck just 2 minutes before I returned it. When I asked for credit back you then said it's after 7 and we're closed and to come back tomorrow to get your gas credited. No real service from the late crew. The next morning I came back was told I should have used to app and I told them when I picked up the truck the app wouldn't connect to my phone and I informed the manager said okay. When I told her that she said she credited my account, but I noticed I didn't get an update on my invoice!

Staff was rude and disrespectful . I had the door locked on me as soon as i walked out and i turned around to ask another question and this woman who worked there locked the door and told me and another customer to GO HOME. Extremely disappointed with the service here, Will never ever go back. There was one out of 3 staff members at this store that was helping everyone while the other two staff members berated the customers , said disrespectful things to me and multiple other customers and then locked the door on us at 450pm when they closed at 5pm and yelled at me and other customers to get the hell out and go home. This was the absolute worst uhaul experience i have ever had. I felt horrible for the one staff member who was trying to help everyone while the other two younger staff members were extremely rude, univiting, disrespectful and not doing there jobs at all. they were just standing by the door waiting to leave.

I drove the truck 27 miles. Wasn't sure what fuel to put in it when I was going to replace the fuel before returning the truck. It wasn't displayed on the tank. I figured 27 miles better to have Uhall replace it and pay little more per gallon than put in the wrong fuel. Was charged $52 for top off. Really? That's $2 per mile for fuel. Kinda high don't you think. Nickel and dime business.

Overall things went smoothly, just some small items discussed that were actually covered in contract. When we picked the vehicle up we were told we could potentially be reimbursed for any unused mileage, unused days, or extra gas in the tank (we left 7/8th when only 1/2 was required - roughly $30-$40). Again, small item but it would be nice if these items were credited towards the storage.

Isles were always blocked and difficult to get to. Hallways not clean always debris of some sort in them I had even taken a broom and dust pan and swept down the hallway around my unit several times it was filthy. Then we were not alerted when the climate control was off and our storage was compromised so basically we were paying for a non climate storage and found out from another source when I called and went into the unit and asked it was true and the manager says they had been working on it. Weeks went by no climate control, yes I wasn’t told no call no email nothing! But when my bill is due no problems sending reminder and email and text? I am very disappointed as I have used UHaul storage in other states this issue never happened I had expected the same clean service Uhaul had offered and we received before this was the absolute worst. The manager very arrogant doesn’t seem to care at this facility and I understand good reliable help is difficult to obtain but please don’t take it out on your customers whom keep your business going.

I experienced many issues with this Uhaul location but especially with management (Store Manager named Cherokee). The office never answers the phone and it's re-routed to national with one hour+ wait times. You cannot make a partial payment online or through an operator, only through the store manager. There were two manager transitions and the 1st manager had changed my due date from the 4th to the 18th. The recent manager said, "well, that's why he's no longer the manager of this store" and threatened to sell my things on their auction on Wednesday (in 2 days) but the letter I had just received 2 days prior said I had to pay full amount by 8/1 or things would be sold 8/18 (and she was threatening 7/27). Anyway, I have never experienced such poor customer service and communication from an establishment, let alone a store manager. I then call national. I am informed my account was paid in full with my credit card on file 3 days prior(so why was she demanding payment over the phone and threatening to sell my things?! Even saying my things were worth more than my bill!!) I was not set up on automatic payments and was never informed via phone message/letter/email this was happening. I went to Uhaul to start moving my things and there's a lock on my unit. I go to the office and the store manager, Cherokee, is immediately rude AGAIN saying, "well, are you going to pay your bill?". I had to tell her to look in her system and she could see it had been paid and they are the ones that ran my card?! The day after I arrived at night and she and another employee were there when I arrived and 10 minutes in the alarm starts going off and we had to stop loading the car and leave. The very next evening I arrived and there were several cardboard boxes, garbage,a rat trap with poison balls spilled out, and a hand truck in front of my unit. I feel this was done in retaliation because when we argued over the phone. These are a few examples of her unprofessionalism, lack of tact and communication skills, and her passive-aggressive pettiness to retaliate to my frustrations. I emptied the unit a week early and will never deal with such immaturity again. I suggest you hire store managers that have college educations and a desire towards professionalism.

Understaffed and every time I came to my unit there were items piled in from of my door. Sometimes it would be dollys other times boxes and other items. It was always difficult to pull a car up for loading and unloading. The facility is more equipped for renting out uhauls than providing accessible storage.

The supervisor I did speak to was helpful, and the manager of the facility are the only people I give credit to and I really would like the thank. Other then that I will never use UHAUL again! I ended up having to pay more for a truck I shouldn't have gotten charged for because the lack of knowledge to help me get INSIDE a storage lacks. I got sent to a 2nd place just to be able to be moved and was given access, but arrived and access didn't work. Again, thank you to the manager who came out living far just to help me get moved in!! The confusion, and lack of description to help with the moving process was very unsetting. My move in process was very frustrating and pushed us back and caused alot of headaches. Then about an hour roughly on hold waiting for a customer rep didn't help much either! First time ever using uhaul and just very unsatisfied with them.

90 degrees is unacceptable. I understand it's Florida summer...but advertising a place as "climate controlled" should mean the temperature is controlled. I took pictures of the thermostat in the faciliy. Right when we got there it was at 90. After 15 mins it crept up to 94. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they didn't seem to think it was a problem. One of the associates even joked that the facility was without A/C for 2 full weeks last month. I was storing expensive, handmade acoustic guitars...
