The office manager Crystal Rosebud was terrible. My locks were changed without me knowing. My unit was broken into.You can tell it was an inside job. They stole my two Tv's. I had the worst experience of my life. The truck that a rented had a bad shake from the start. Tried to make my trip because you would think of you let me take the truck it was in good condition a well I had to call roadside and two front tires had to be put on . Roadside made me wait two hours for them and in that wait the Air condition stop working. Your roadside technician said from the look of the tires this truck had major issues and would need some work but the tires would allow me to finish my move. At this point it was dark now and we only had one headlight which made my move very difficult. Your company put me and my family in a very dangerous situation by renting me a unsafe truck the had not been serviced at all. I feel like your company should not put any equipment out on the road that has not been serviced. I have put my complaint in with customer service and was told the location would call me . I have not had that phone call. I am very very disappointed and upset with Uhaul because safety should be first . I have not received a call back from the location so that said a lot about how you feel about your customers. I am sure someone at that location see new tires were put in the truck but since I received it in terrible conditions they are not aware of it because no one is checking your equipment. This is very poor management and I will not use anything from Uhaul again you put my life at risk.Jarvis M.

I was supposed to get a $39 rate that was set when I made my reservation, and when I moved in they confirmed that rate so I signed the agreement. The first month was free, but after that they charged me $49! I called to correct it, and all the staff would say is the rate must have gone up. I received no notice in mail or email about a rate change. When the rate did officially change in 2022, I did get an email and paper notice (as required by law). So, I know they just charged me the wrong rate and refused to correct it though I contacted several times.Hannah D. | Overall Experience

Better customer service, truck smelled like marjuana , and the person who check me out in truck said it had a 1/8 of tank of gas in it if I put it at 1/4 tank he'd give me a 40$ credit when I got in truck it was real close to e but I put it on a 1/4 and they checked it in and said it only had 1/8 which is a lie. I'm 100% sure it had 1/4 tanks put 22.64 in it 1 mile away. So they screwed me out of the 40$'s I want this fixed. Or I'm gonna give a bad review on googleâ€¦.Joseph E.

The guy that disconnected my trailer when I brought it back said I was good to go he'd email me a receipt. I asked if I needed to go inside and he said no. An hour later no receipt I called back and he said it takes an hour. 2 hours later I called back to make sure it was checked back in because there wasn't a receipt and they told me it was checked back in.Jeremy C.

I see that I was charged $56 after I returned the truck. I made 30 miles more and I told them this. 79 cents per mile, so why was I charged $56? I filled the gas to the level when I got also. I am not sure about this overcharge.Ramazan A.

I will go with Penske next time. So many hidden fees. Your advertisements are misleading. Pay $6 for each blanket which you don't get to keep and you have to fold and put back in the plastic bags. $30 charge if you don't refill the tank exactly + gas cost. 40mil + 20$ does not equal $79...Oh wait processing and BS. I'm surprised UHAUL doesn't require people to return the cardboard boxes after they move....and repack them of course....with a fine for any tape left behind. Sucks you have a monopoly.James L.

I had a difficult time with the customer service associate at the desk upon picking up my vehicle. She was either new or didn't know what she was doing because I had to insert my credit card 3 times in the machine in order for it to process, but on the 2nd attempt she tried to challenge me making it seem as if I was using a debit card vice my credit card. The whole time it was either her or her system's fault but she tried to place the blame on me as the customer. And then with glaring attitude she had the nerve to say "I don't even have to rent this vehicle to you at all." Totally unprofessional and really terrible customer service & I'll never go back there. Additionally, the Van that I reserved was filthy on the inside with a cracked windshield. So when I brought this to the attention of the staff she looked up at me and said "what do you want me to do". I said, can I get the Van next to it or another one and she said no, that's our only Van. However one of the other staff members was nice enough to sweep out and mop the inside of the cargo Van and said that upon return she would Discount the purchase agreement for my inconvenience, but failed to do so as I can see. Just an overall BAD experience for me and I am a loyal customer who have used U-Haul several times over the years for my family.Archie B.

My initial rental on Friday was a 4x7 open trailer. I failed to confirm that actual width of the trailer thinking a 4x7 would be 4ft wide. In actuality the trailer is less than 3ft wide inside. This required me to return the trailer within an hour and rent another trailer - 4x9 motorcycle trailer - which was actually just over 4ft inside width. The trailer cost was the same but I had to pay for one hour on the 4x7 which I was unable to use.Mike D.

We had the uhaul reserved for a weekâ€¦ We called to request another day to avoid storages fees for one day since our apartment will be ready on Mondayâ€¦ the store had already reserved the u-haul to someone else, and told us we had to have it back by 7 am. The representative we talked to on the phone was very rude and not helpful. We also had to pay for a whole day when we did not have it a whole dayâ€¦ we ended up spending 300+ on the uhaul for the week, and no one would help us when we needed it. I'm disappointed in the lack of empathy, and the rudeness the workers portrayed over the phone. I felt like I was bothering them, and they made me feel stupid and not appreciated.andrew B.

I was charge for gas that I put back. The guy say I suppose to check . I told him they should've check and know how much gas in the truck before each rental. I showed him my gas receipt and they still charged me . Smh I will never rent from uhaul again. I never had this issue until now. I find the key card system a bit confusing to use! Another fellow, before I got there was having a tough time. He got in, but the alarm system kept going off. My storage apparently was apart of a fire and water damage that we (the customers) didn't find out about until the day after it happened at almost 10pm via an automatic text. I lost so much of my stuff due to the fire and water damage. Furniture, tv, purses, clothes, my degrees and so much more. Most greatly I lost things that were irreplaceable, like all of the memories and valuables my siblings and I had stored away of our late father, I mourned for days I felt like I was reliving that day I got the news all over again; I was crushed! And all these people could compensate for myself and so many others was 1000 measly dollars. A storage is suppose to be a safe place we’re people store their valuables, important documents, and life long treasures not a place where you leave your things only to come back to things being destroyed, damaged or tampered with. I’m still trying to rebuild after that traumatic incident. I had several TV's and several other things stolen during this time the u haul had a fire insurance adjuster was there to acess water damage adjuster never call i had to call him in the meantime i have tried to file a claim on my TV'S. Haven't recieve compensation as of Aug 24th nothing Lost my my bedroom furniture oniy mattress was not damage box spring was damage. I am very disappointed about this. Thank you. There was a fire???? And the sprinklers went off and flooded the bottom floor. We weren’t able to go in for 2 days. When we were able to go in there were still puddles of water on the floor which was dangerous. The air was not working. It was suffocating. By the end of the day they had set up dehumidifiers and fans. They did have help to empty your units and help you but if you valued your belongings you did it yourself. This was horrible. It seems to me uhaul fills like if you have things in storage it is not valuable to you. I have always used uhaul and I will never again.. it is not due to the employees at this facility but because of corporate and their risk management team.
