The facility seemed to have everything one would need for moving. The inside of the windows were quite dirty. The overall truck maintenance seemed to be fine. I was Not given (email or text) any photos of truck to show any previous damage. I was told that none had been taken and not to worry about it. I had to walk back and forth between the truck and the office several times to get this "cleared up". I don't understand why the roll of plastic wrap I decided to get couldn't just be added to the original online rental agreement. I was not informed of the route to take to return the vehicle. There is signage by the road which can be seen fairly easily if heading north to facility,but Not when coming in from the south. I asked the lady who was checking me out after returning the vehicle about owing more for the extra milage . She said I didn't owe any. In reality she had already added it to the final invoice. This was fine ,but that is what she should of told was done. There was also some confusion caused by the mask wearing ,muffled speech, plexiglass barriers and not talking loud enough. Overall I would rate your people at a 6 out of 10. They seemed to know their stuff but not how to transfer that knowledge to the customer. It seemed hard for them to get off their computer and help someone if it wasn't absolutely necessary. I've dealt with this same facility many years ago and found them much more personable back then. For these reasons, I neither recommend or not recommend this facility. I would simply explain my experience if asked. The move itself went fine and your equipment performed as expected.Kenneth N.

Representative was not helpful. I wasn't given any idea of how the vehicle operated. When I got in, I couldn't even see over the hood of the truck! Couldn't adjust the outside mirrors by myself! The $19.99 a proposed price per day is a farce. You should come up with an all inclusive up to a certain amount of miles per 24 hour period. I had the truck p/u truck from 9:30-5:30, put 60 miles on it, $10 in gas AND paid $68 plus change. Of course had I not re-filled the gas as specified by the terms, I would have been obligated to pay 4.20 per gallon PLUS a $30 fee! When employees are not very helpful, not very busy, don't come out at check in ( Like the sign said: "Stay in your vehicle for check in of equipment. ") Another person pulled in, went in and checked out before I followed up. I was just disappointed with my overall experience. WON'T rent from U-Haul again...DIANE L.

Rental was for Saturday they called me and said wires were damaged and couldn't find me a different trailer found one at Lakewood myself and paid double because it was now rented on Sunday .Staff was very rude at spanaway when I returned on Monday morning and accused me of damaging the trailer. Inside staff continued to treat me poorly until they found my contract in the system . I will never go there again and will likely tell many people to stay away. Lakewood staff was great and treats their customers well. Spanaway staff needs customer service training. This location has messed up every rental I have gotten. They are awful. They rented me unsafe equipment for the vehicle I had and caused the engine in my vehicle to blow, they have lost or claim to not gotten reservations I have made. Today they charged me for an extra day on a 24 hours trailer rental that I had for 5hours and 52min. They are rude and very unprofessional. I will not go back to this location and I don't recommend it for anyone else.CASSANDRA G.

All of the staff @ U Haul Moving & Storage of Spanaway, Washington were incredibly helpful & kind. I had rented a 17 ft moving van, when I got to the lot to pick it up, I realized that it was too big for me to drive it. I immediately went back to the staff member & explained my situation & they were able to ditch my rental van to a 10 ft. I highly recommend this particular store for your moving needs. The morning crew that was present for the initial picking up of the trailer were very rude. First upon entering I was asked to put on a mask, which was expected. However, after informing them that I could not, one employee sarcastically remarked, "Oh! Great." Furthermore this employee was just putting his mask on when I entered the building and it had holes in it. Then when we were trying to hook up to the trailer the attendant helping practically yelled at my friend that he needed to be respectful, and he had not even said anything to her. The only comment he had made was that I got a small baby trailer. Then even though we were outside where masks are not required, she raised her voice and demanded that we back away from her and remain six feet away. Even though none of us were that close to her anyway. The afternoon crew was much more laid back and a lot easier to deal with. That is the only thing that kept this rating from being a one-star. However, I will not use your location or recommend it to anyone again.William N.

Make sure that after they stand in the store for 15 minutes reserving a truck a week in advance and check on that reservation a couple of days later to confirm that they don't show up to get the truck only to be told that they aren't even in the system. This has happened to us twice at this location and it happened to a customer who was picking up the same time I was making my reservation. I didn't even get an apology, instead I was told â€œthis happens sometimes.â€ I guess that makes it okay. I will never return to this location.ROBERT FREDERICK A.

My husband and I reserved a 26 foot truck with auto transport for a move across the country. I called the day before to verify and was told by the first representative that my husband would have to travel to 2 different locations because the equipment was sparse. I called later that day and was told there was a truck and trailer available at the same location near our house. (I was told the truck was not pending drop off, but was actually waiting at the location for us to pick up). As my husband was leaving the house the next day to get the uhaul I received a text notification that Our truck was downgraded to a 20 foot truck even though we had already PRE PAID for everything!!!! I was told that no equipment was available in the whole state of Washington and that renting the 20 foot truck was our only option. After making multiple phone calls and waiting on hold, I was told that the representative called and left a message notifying us of this the night before. Neither my husband or I received a call or message. So the representative all out lied. It resulted in us having to leave furniture and various other items behind because we simply didn't have the space. When I called to complain I was offered $200 and the $50 reservation promise, but was told essentially that this was a gracious offer and that this isn't normally done. I left behind nearly $2000 in stuff that I now have to replace. Then they failed to refund the difference between the 26 foot truck and 20 foot truck which wasted more of my time making phone calls and having to wait excessively long to speak to a human being. I am still waiting on that refund and will NEVER EVER do business with Uhaul again. They have you pay for a service that they cannot provide and essentially do a bait and switch at the last minute leaving us and I am sure others in a lurch. I am an essential worker being a nurse and it was imperative that our move happen the day it did or otherwise I would have waited and demanded a full refund and went with another company. They got the pickup time wrong I asked for 8:30 and no one was coming to do a hitch installation until 11:30 so it ruined my whole trip to Montana to see my son and 6 grandbabies, I couldnt leave until the next day. But they fixed it and i got to see my family and use the rental trailer for a reasonable price and stayed a few extra days, thank you but im still waiting for my 100.00 refund for the mix up..MICHELE Y.

The fuel gauge was stuck just above half. I drove about 110 miles and it never changed. After putting 8 gallons of fuel in, the fuel gauge still did not change. The vehicle was in good condition but calling unfortunately was not the best. I called 3 times and was on hold for about 30 minutes each time to find out if they had found something I left in the glove box. The first time when I was transfered to the call center and told them the issue they sent me back to the store onwhich I was placed on hold for another 10 minutes before the line hung up. Again I called when throught the same 30 min hold and spoke to another call center who as soon as they directed me back the line hung up. Finally on the last call the service center lady kept me on the phone and called her self and it took her trying all her phone numbers she had and a few other ways she finally got ahold of the store just to find out nothing was turned in and they would check when the vehicle comes back in. The item was a good sized item in the glove box, which should have been found apon inspection and cleaning. Unfortunately showing that the cleaning may not have occurred or sped throughAntonio B.
