The location at 1500 international dr. Was not very friendly or helpful. The janitor ask them to help me 3 times then they seemed unhappy that they had to work. Then they told me I couldn't rent the trailer I reserved and wanted to rent me a trailer for 100 dollars more then my reserved trailer. I went to the 345 Whitney rd. Location they did not have the right trailer on the lot but was able to get one that would still work for the same price. He was very friendly and helpful i appreciate that.

Give people a second to fold the furniture pad up. It doesn’t tell customers to fold them up until you press return my truck. so let people take their time and go through the process correctly and take their time doing it before just rushing up and opening the truck and saying “if you want to save $25 fold the sheets in the back”. I hadn’t even put my car in park yet. rubbed me the wrong way. and I don’t want to be told I dong need to complete the pictures and odometer verification process at drop off because he would do all of that because if the app doesn’t say that i’m not risking extra charges.

Extremely lazy and incompetent staff. I was charged double due to their negligence. We were initially given a truck with the check engine light on. When we requested a new truck we got an attitude and reluctance to assist. We never received new paperwork for the new truck, even though we requested it. We were charged double at dropoff because the gas levels and mileage on the original paperwork didn't match the replacement truck because they never updated the information in the system or provided new paperwork for the replacement truck. Now I'm out almost $500 for UHaul that I reserved for $185.

The location at Whitney Rd., Spartanburg was an excellent location for reserving and renting! Sterling was excellent in having the UHAUL ready to take on the road. He was very professional. He answered my questions concerning insurance that i preferred for traveling. I woukd consider the locations customer service one of the best. The truck was clean and easy to manage with size load i needed to transport. Thank you & God's blessings.

I tired to complete an after hours drop off. When we called to ask how that worked we were told there was a QR code to complete the return. The only QR was to download the app. Then when we tried to use the app it never completed the return and we has to call the store the next day to confirm the return was completed.

The store hours are flexible. Meaning it is not always open according to the posted hours. I returned a trailer at 7:30 PM on May 4 and the store was closed. I made a special effort to get there on time. I left the trailer sitting near the other car haulers. I hope it was checked in and I will not be charged for another day. The rate seemed excessive.

The girl that first spoke to us had an attitude. There was a scape on top of truck. We told her it was there when we got truck. We sent in pictures. She seemed not to believe us. She dismissed us and had a man come help us with the return. He was very nice. He stated don't worry about it everything is good. The girls customer service was terrible. Well, I didn't get a full tank of gas when I received the truck and I filled the tank before returning it. I didn't get reimbursed for the extra gas I put in the truck when returning it. That's my only complaint, besides everything else was perfect.

Online it allowed me to make my reservation without having to purchase insurance but was told that I was required to purchase insurance. Plus, how is it requires when I was initially going to use my phone to pick up the vehicle and, on my reservation, it was actually added. The guys that waited on me was extremely nice, I felt like that was not true.

The initial call in was a great experience! However when I arrived at the location, it was short staffed. And I hate to wait longer than normal. This is not the young mans fault that helped me. He was kind. This is terrible management of staffing.
Day of drop off the person outside was rude. Didn’t greet me. Acted annoyed when I showed up one hour before closing to drop off the trailer. The other person that provided a receipt gave me an excuse for his co-workers attitude and that he like that because he works two jobs. So this is an excuse to be a rude person to customers? That’s his problem. Not mine.

My drop off location was not in Spartanburg. It was in Tuscaloosa Al. O pulled up to the drop off location and sat behind one of the big truck units for a considerable amount of time. When I walked inside the worker acted annoyed that I disturbed his phone time. His attitude was poor, worked ethic seemed even less than that. Took me and another customer 20 minutes or so longer to check in the equipment than it should have. I had to back in and disconnect the trailer myself. That guy needs to step up or step out.

Truck was very old and not maintained well. It needed an alignment and was all over the road. When I asked the associate about the equipment he started complaining about the manager and it wasn’t his job and that the equipment “would get my stuff moved.”
He didn’t care if it was safe or not. Also they now don’t allow parking at that location. Well it should be on their website so I could have been dropped off and not parked at a sketchy location they told me to park at. And since they told me to park there if my car had been vandalized or broken into I would have held U-Haul responsible. Will never return to that location. I’ll drive an extra 5 minutes to the newer location out by the freeway. Worst U-Haul experience of my life!

I needed 2 units and the 1st one was in the back. 1030. Charles asked why did she give me one in the back when it was units available in the front. Then the next day I was giving a unit in the front, 1070.i used this uhaul because it wzs the closes to my house I was leaving. I was told that they did a .morning walk around but obviously no one did be ause my unit was broken into. Because I had 2 units I could not remember everything that was in 1030. Now That I moved into my home I realized it was more that was stolen then what I got paid for so I lost a lot. I was told that you guys pay out big but I was truthful and put what I knew what was there but did t remember my fur coats and my box of dishes, my na.e brand clothing, my box of tools. I lost out using this facility. Although Emily was a sweet person and helped me a lot. But no I would not recommend this uhaul. Homeless ppl sleep there at night. And they watch ppl and rob the units.

Customer service was awful. Workers behind the counter had, literally, no clue what they were doing. Had to switch my unit 3 times. Once because the lady behind the counter "totally forgot" to go check to make sure my unit wasnt being used. One worker, whoever the old blonde worker was, refused to check my truck in after I was finished. She was super rude and condescending, had me walk all the way up to the counter just to laugh at me and make me go find another worker. Will not be using this location again. Made my reservation online, wasnt in the computer when I got there. Was constantly told to call the 1800 number even when im showing the receipt only to be met with an eye roll. Truck wasnt ready. Had to walk back in because the truck was blocked in, only for them to just change the truck number. Didn't give me new paper work. This place is a literal joke.

I never got to use my storage unit because when I rented the truck the manager of the uhaul place in Whitney told me I couldn't get the storage facility the day I rented the truck. She told me that I had to pay the first months bill first even though it was suppose to come with the truck free for the first month. She argued me down and refused to give me the unit so I left not getting it until the next afternoon then I get an email from uhaul that told me I had a unit. By then it's to late. The day I rented the truck I had to make other arrangements to place my stuff somewhere else which cost me more money and I had to keep the truck 2 extra days cause I had no where to put my stuff til then. I got scammed my uhaul and now have a bill of $400 that I have to pay which was not my fat at all. Uhaul and uhaul storage suck and I will never use them again and I will share my story to tell everybody my experience with y'all. It was awful y'all lie to y'all's customers and ain't worth a crap.

out of all the storage facilities I have ever rented from this is the absolute worst. I had trash in front of my door for almost a week with live roaches running out of it. It looked like there was a homeless person living in the facility overnight. I wouldn’t stay at this storage facility again if you give me a lifetime of free storage.

Stored my daughter’s apartment stuff here for about six months. When we went to move it out we discovered mice had gotten into the unit and left droppings all over the mattresses and box springs. We ended up having to throw out two twin mattresses and two box springs. We had to take them and find a place as we were not even allowed to throw them out in the dumpster at the facility or we would be fined. I was given the manager’s number and I text her but she never bothered to respond to my text. Poor customer service!

Mya storage was broken into twice. Kristian Thompson, The GM, was the absolute worst. Once I realized it was broken into she was so nasty towards me with looking through the video. She stayed the video only went back 1 month and was not willing to look through it. She continuously denied that it was my unit being broken into even though I watched them take my items out of the unit. She asked when the last time I visited my unit and when told she then made the remark “who doesn’t go to their storage in 2 months?” . I use U-Haul everytime I need to move, but with the service I was provided I’ll make sure that none of my friends or family ever use it again. I’m still waiting on a claims adjuster to contact me.

After using the storage unit for more than a year today we moved out. Our furniture was covered in rat feces and ruined other items. The assistant manager was nice and stated to never have this happen before and gave me the insurance company information. Hopefully they can compensate for this issue.

Had a total of 2 units, seemed to be much confusion about my move out date for one. Malinda (I believe is her name) helped clear that up after speaking with 1800 customer service who couldn't even figure it out and I never got a call back from a store manager. Second unit was outside, my things were covered in rat poop and roaches dead and alive literally had to bomb my new place to kill everything. Prices could definitely be cheaper due to critters. This location is literally always 100% busy with very little staff. Josh ( or maybe Justin is his name ) was always helpful anytime I needed anything. Facility definitely needs to be deep cleaned and pest controlled asap.

345 Whitney rd Spartanburg South Carolina location has the best staff. My only complaint is the hall light didn’t seem to work making it impossible to see in one of my units. Besides that it was a great experience.

Very satisfied customer, there was a problem with the u haul system and i wasn't able to get my card to get in to my unit after 5, i was able to get a hold of the manager after hours and ricki was very helpful to the situation and my needs as i had to be at work the next morning at 5am and she extended the time on the trailer for me to come in when i got off work. This was the cleanest storage facility I have ever used. The staff was cleaning the outside and removing leaves to keep them from blowing inside the building. Very secure and convenient. The staff was so helpful when we dropped off our belongings and even told me to call to switch the drop off to their location. Best experience with a move and storage.
