The woman working that morning was rude and cranky. Although I had the reservation in writing, she insisted I was wrong. She ultimately was able to get me a truck, but inside was dirty with cigar ashes (and smelling of cigarettes). The gentleman whom I saw upon return was pleasant, helpful, and informative. He was the only reason I didn't rate this experience 1 star.

ELDEN RI ordered a U-Haul for 2 hours… I picked it up at 6pm brought it back at 8:40pm.. they reported that I took the vehicle, Kept it for two days and left it in a field with an abandoned dog (pit bull) I went up there cursing and demanding to see the footage and the camera shows me at 8:40pm oct.7 2025 dropping the vehicle off… I want to report Emily for lying on me and I need corporate number asap! That was so wrong of her to do that… I rented the U-Haul on Whitney road Spartanburg sc. her name was Emily… first she said she didn’t know where the van was, then she said she rescued a pit bull that I abandoned! I am terrified of animals so why would I own a dog! Then she said they found the keys under the bumper ( I ordered a van there’s no such bumper) in the camera footage you clearly see me dropping the key in the safe box… someone find me corporate number to report this matter further

Also, the $19.00 dollar rental for the Vans did’nt apply for a one(1) to two (2) hour rental , yet it”s advertised on the billboards and windshields of each vehicle , along with the pick-up truck. That is false advertisement. Furthermore, I feel the price I paid was excessive.I rented a van for a projected 1 to two hour rental and end up pay $82.23 after one hour and thirty minutes. If, been giving false information or over - charged , please inform me of this fact.

LUTHER PFirst I was told max of 2 hours but it was over 4. I had to wait because it was rescheduled and I had no one that day to pick me up. I understand it’s a guesstimate because you can not foresee everything going on. But it would have been nice to have been updated instead of ignoring me until I get up ask. But what I really didn’t like is that when it was done I was told the extra wiring was in the trunk. I never heard of that so I went to look and the wire was in the tire wheel and I asked and they said it just hangs out the truck and you close the truck. Now that just ghetto as anything. I don’t know how Subaru does there wiring soI got home took out the stuff in the back and looked closer. Maybe u haul doesnt want to cut a whole to run wires. But there is a huge whole premade under the tired. The plug slides easily and straight to the bumper. I’m t does not go anywhere near either muffler either. There is no way to attach it but it is easily attached with a zip tie. Which is what u haul used to secured the extra wire in my truck. I order a cheap cover that goes over the hitch and has a plug holder too. Looks much more professional. And could have been easily done by U-Haul vs a wire dangling from the trunk.

ROSLYN MI arrived on time and the manager sent an employee out to inspect my assigned trailer. He reported that the trailer had a flat tire. I waited while they put on a new tire and balanced the wheel. Then they hitched it up and discovered that one of the tail lights / turn signal lights was not working. So they assigned me a different trailer. The replacement trailer was overall a much nicer / newer trailer with LED lights, hinged rear door instead of roll-up, etc. However it had a dent in the left fender. The employee got very irritated when I wanted to document the damage as pre-existing. He said they already had pictures on file and all I had to do was tell the receiving U-Haul dealer that the damage was pre-existing and that would be OK. I took pictures none-the-less. The pick-up process took over 90 minutes.

When we went to move it out we discovered mice had gotten into the unit and left droppings all over the mattresses and box springs. We ended up having to throw out two twin mattresses and two box springs. We had to take them and find a place as we were not even allowed to throw them out in the dumpster at the facility or we would be fined. I was given the manager’s number and I text her but she never bothered to respond to my text. Poor customer service!

Once I realized it was broken into she was so nasty towards me with looking through the video. She stayed the video only went back 1 month and was not willing to look through it. She continuously denied that it was my unit being broken into even though I watched them take my items out of the unit. She asked when the last time I visited my unit and when told she then made the remark “who doesn’t go to their storage in 2 months?” . I use U-Haul everytime I need to move, but with the service I was provided I’ll make sure that none of my friends or family ever use it again. I’m still waiting on a claims adjuster to contact me.
