Overall it was a good experience. I only had a couple minor issues: 1. I added a placement picture and instructions online but still got the call asking where to put the box. 2. I asked if we could change the pickup date to an earlier date. that was done. but none of the other dates changed until I asked them to be changed too. had to ask to ship it sooner, then had to ask that it get delivered sooner. If you move the first pickup date to earlier, all the future dates should be moved up too. Or at least ask the questions if they should also be moved up.Jacqueline L.

I had a series of issues with the UBoxes and the delivery to my home. I had to make several calls to customer service, where the hold times are the worst I've ever experienced. They didn't recognize my payment of $3700 and I had to provide receipts of the transaction. The Illinois and Florida locations didn't seem to communicate with each other. The office team at the Pompano location were rude and disrespectful. I ended up finally getting the AGM Ann Marie to assist and getting some resolution. The driver who delivered my boxes to my home on July 26 was very kind and respectful and super efficient and she returned on the 28th to pick them back up.felicia S.

Closer look at trucks being rented out. I was told truck had 7/8 of gas left when the indicator was clearly below 3/4s of a tank. I told the Service Manager to come take a look at it before I drove off. He did and he agreed. The service person who drove up the truck should have checked the gas gauge and reported it UNDER 3/4 full.JAMES C.
The call center that called to let me know my reservation was moved to a location that's three times as far away as my reservation was horrible. The online reservation experience does not make clear that a particular unit is not available and that you may have to travel. Fix this process. The call with the call center and having to drive that far are things that will make me consider not using U-haul anymore, and I've used your services a lot over the years.KEITH B.
The apps didnt work for me when returning the truck after hours, it kept asking for odometer photo over and over, i tried restarting the apps and my phone and have taken more than 30 pictures, it just kept going back to the same spot asking me to take photos of odometer. The trailer I had reserved had bad wiring. The representative at the store did not know that until the trailer was fully attached to my vehicle. It took a long time to diagnosis the problem, but he made good by getting me a bigger trailer for the same price. It would be great to add a lighting check to the check-in protocol so you know if a trailer is able to be rented or not.Jay T.

1st time using storage facility. Pulled up to overhead door, which automaticly opened. Went to my stoage shed location, and there was a tag fastened to door stating unit was clean and available. NO WHERE ON THE TAG DID IT STATE YOU HAD TO DIS-ARM THE UNIT OR BUILDING ALARM WOULD BE ACTIVATED !!!!! Opened the door to unit to make sure free lock was inside, and alarm was activated. No sign stating where the deactivation pad is located. Frustrating experience for 1st time in facility. Customer service is a joke. Pretty much everything I was told was wrong. Was asked multiple times if my pick up and drop off times/ days could be switched. There were way way way way too many furniture pads. So many we ended up having to rent a small storage unit to store them until it was time to return them. Would NEVER suggest uhaul to anyone else and would NEVER use them myself again.Jill M.

We were told that we only needed to return it with a quarter tank. My wife accidentally filled the whole tank, $85 worth of gas. I only drove the truck 44 miles total. The uhaul employee informed me they could only refund $20. Long story short I'm out about $50 and it was our fault but still, would be nice if uhaul was more forgiving.Stuart P.
My 1800 mile trip went well until the last leg of the trip coming out of the mountains The surge brake on the trailer was not working properly, my truck brakes were really scorched and hot and the trailer wheels were the same temperature as the tires so when I was hitting my brakes on decent the trailer was pushing my 3500 diesel dually!JAMES A.

PRIOR TO RENTING THE U-BOX IN CALIFORNIA, THE STAFF AT THE WEST DUNDEE LOCATION WERE VERY HELPFUL IN ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS ABOUT RENTING AND SHIPPING A U-BOX. iN DOING SO, THEY MADE IT EASIER TO FACILITATE THE MOVING PROCESS IN CALIFORNIA. WHEN THE U-BOX ARRIVED IN WEST DUNDEE THEY WERE HELPFUL IN SETTING ME UP WITH A STORAGE UNIT TO EMPTY THE CONTENTS OF THE U-BOX INTO. A SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO THE STAFF MEMBER WHO BROUGHT THE U-BOX TO THE FRONT OF THE STORAGE UNIT LOCATION. When I pulled in with the truck and trailer to return the trailer , the young lady asked her boss to assist me because I was going to drop off car transport only! That was the only way to unload the truckâ€¦! He came out holding a cellphone to his ear and told me to go ahead and drop the trailer ! I told him that I can't do that because the scheduling department put in some crazy notes that I can't disconnect the trailer! Also I have a bad backâ€¦ Another person came out too at this point ! I was told to unload the vehicle then they going to do it ! Naturally I asked them to disconnect the straps, chains , rampsâ€¦ Finally my car was off the trailer, and it was disconnected from the truck when the other person told me go ahead ! Unfortunately there was two truck in front of me and the trailer behind meâ€¦! As I trying my best to maneuver, the other guy saw my struggle he said to wait . He got a dolly and moved the trailer out the wayâ€¦! I don't understand why did I get such a treatment starting with the scheduling department ( from a young lady putting in stupid notes ), then the lazy rude and very unfriendly staff ftom the drop off location! I gave them no reason to treat me the way they treated at that location! I picked that location as a drop off location because that is the closest to my home ! I will be needing in two weeks another rental from uhaul, but will avoid that location!Janos C.

I used the mobile option to pick up my van. It was the first time I had rented from U-Haul and I was very frustrated with the procedures to pick up the van. The requirement to have two contacts that you actually called and verified I was valid was completely frustrating. This should have been taken care of prior to me getting there. These things are unreasonable when you're trying to get this van picked up and moving. Having two people's numbers that you know are going to answer the phone right at that moment is slightly frustrating. There has to be a better way or we should clearly know a head of time that this is happening. Maybe I missed some instruction but that should certainly be clearly understood upfront.Kelley N.

I am extremely disappointed in my pick up experience. I booked the Fox River Grove location about a month before I needed the truck. The day before my reservation, I am told I need a new location. Then, at that location, I was unable to get keys for the truck and was on the phone with supper for 45 minutes before being sent to a new location. This put me behind schedule by over an hour and was hugely inconvenient and stressful. Customer rep was very nice but said I should look to book on less busier days.
