Booked a cargo van for Sunday June 13th. I was sent to a location that was not open on Sundays. Had to then spend an hour waiting to get another booking. This made me late for the equipment rental I had book which cost me an additional $45 for the rental. Please make sure you do not send anyone to pick up a vehicle at a location that is not open on Sundays. The owner of the business was not happy that I woke him up so early and was also confused as to why u Hal would send someone for a vehicle when they should know he is not open on Sundays.AHMEDMOHAMED A.

First, I was called in the morning to be informed that the trailer that I was supposed to pick up at 8:30 am would now be ready at 4:30 pm. I had to scramble to sort the orders that had to be picked up. Upon arrival at the depot, the service was horrendous. After registering I was told to go outside and a lady would look after me. I got outside and there was nobody. I was then told to get help from a guy. The guy sent me back stating that he was not doing what I had asked for. I went back and asked for more help only to be rudely told that they were busy and I should go outside and wait for someone to come and help me. FYI, I was the only customer inside and none of the workers were on the phone answering questions. The one lady was cheat chatting with two gentlemen I walked out and said â€œsome service this isâ€ . When I approached the lady for help she was on the phone and when I asked for help, she told me that she would help me when she was done and told me to go to my car. All I wanted was the tail lights to be provided to me. I was already late for my orders. I have rented from u-haul before and this was the worst service.Melton M.

The rental agent had put my rental for drop off at less than an hour after pick up and I was called asking why I hadn't returned the truck after just having left. Also, upon return, the online drop off site did not work and I couldn't report anything on the return.TERRON S.
In general, this location was excellent. Staff was helpful and pleasant. But, after years of frequently renting UHaul vehicles from several different locations, I was told for the first time that a customer cannot use debit card to rent pickup trucks and vans, although any-sized truck was possible. I specifically travelled further in order to obtain a van to rent, using the same virtual VISA card tied to my bank account to successfully reserve the van only to be told I couldn't rent the van so would need to go with a 10' truck. I could have saved a great deal of time and money renting a 10' truck from my regular locations. I incurred $40-50 in additional mileage and fuel costs alone for this bizarre and unclear policy.MASON B.

My reservation was for 10 a.m. but even though I was there on time, I had to wait until 10:45 to pick up my vehicle because they had a flood of reservations at the same time and weren't staffed to handle it properly. Once I had the keys I found out my van was sandwiched in between two other vans and I had to wait almost half an hour more for someone to help me get it out. Someone tried to break into my unit!!! Someone tried to cut through the metal latch. They didn’t get through all the way thankfully. But I couldn’t get into my own unit because they broke it so bad. Staff on site were helpful in helping me get into my own unit with tools. But there is definitely a serious security flaw at this facility if stuff like this can happen. Would not recommend this facility due to this poor security. And is anyone going back to look at the video footage of someone trying to break into my unit? Should a police report be filed? Extremely unprofessional - doesn't even describe how poor of an experience I had with this location. I had booked a 10ft truck for the day and my dropoff time was the next day at 10AM. I had dropped my keys off to an employee working at the counter and I had asked if we could do a walk through right there. She said that the guys out front would double check it, no need to worry. When I was leaving the premises, one of the employees driving the truck was driving way too fast for how small the parking lot is, especially with music blasting through the truck speakers. He easily could've caused serious injuries had there been more people in the lot. Furthermore, the other employee was not doing much during this time. I had dropped it off PRIOR to 4pm on the same day I picked up the truck and I STILL received a receipt of an additional day's charge as I had supposedly dropped it off at 10:34 AM the next day. I was on hold for over 45 minutes to clarify this situation. Beyond unprofessional and irritating, the employees need to be better trained and managed as it always affects the customers in the end. 1st: i found the service for UHaul (I do not mean this locatioin) to be worst. I booked 20" truck on April 29, and paid in full, my credit card was charged, 15 days later, on May 14, some one left message saying they do not have 20" but 15" and the location was changed too. The one that was confirmed 15 days earlier was 5 km from muy place but 14 days later I was given one choice and 25 km far from my place. I called and spoke with Shabeen while she told me about the lcoation she did not tell me the truck was downsized. When I lookd at the confirmation on my email it was writeen 15". I called and spoke with Shabeera and she told me nothing was confirmed while I was charged fully 14 days ago and was given confirmation/reservation number. So I found Uhaul is MISLEADING PEOPLE AND MISREPRESENTING. YOUR SERVICE NEED TO BE AMENDED SO DO NOT MISLEAD PEOPLE ONE DAY PRIOR TO THEIR MOVEMENT AND LEAVING THEM WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO ABIDE BY YOUR ARBITRARY RULES. They messed up my booking and gave me a totally different Truck from what I had book and the customer representative that picked my phone blame me for booking the truck online before telling me it was no longer available. They transfer me to a manager and she was the worst with and she kept telling me that I agreed to accept the van that was later booked for me after canceling my original booking. Many issues. Windows very dirty, van difficult to drive with loose steering, seats uncomfortable and can't adjust to lean back, black plastic blocks view. PLUS I could not, repeatedly, get in touch by phone ...I ended up there under the impression, as on vans, that My cost was 20 per day and milage but YOu gave me" commercial rate" which meant nothing to me and when I said ok to two days I thought it was at $20 per day not $89. I was not corrected and ended up paying $300 for gas and rental and I could have done it at half the price elsewhere. My misunderstanding of rates was not corrected at the desk although I said the rate. So I feel deceived and ripped off. The whole experience was unacceptable and I will never rent for out of town again with you. This was a bad expereince and expensive . The site is crowded and no room for getting in and out with vehicles. You also ASSUME I have a cell and internet and can respond to your demanads for a vehicle assessment etc. Can't reach any phone numbers and long long wait. and unclear answers. Horrid service at u-haul and would never recommend. deceptive advertising, poor communication, no contact by phone. I would really like a refund for part of the cost.Kevin B.

The truck seats were dusty and dirty. I was returning the truck at the end of the day. Arrived a minute or two before closing. The staff saw me arrive and closed the doors before I could get in. Then a staff member outside told me to do a self check-in. I tried but it didn't work, So, I called uHaul. I was on hold for over 20 minutes and was told to call another number. The person who checked me in was very nice and patient. She gave very clear instructions to access the facility (down to which parking bay was best for the truck I rented). The dollies were super convenient and appreciated. The place felt very clean and well cared for and the floors were so smooth for moving dollies - really great. Only one point of feedback: The elevator door closes as soon as you exit, which was difficult for us moving the dolly into the elevator as it closed on us a few times. Would be better if the door waited a little before closing. Also it would be nice to have another elevator for busier days so there is less waiting, but that is a smaller detail. Upon initial move in, the area of use in the storage unit did not meet the advised dimensions because of the fire sprinkler pipe running through the unit. We were forced to upgrade to something 3x the price to offload our items. This was unfortunate, but the manager Tanya was very patient and responsive when addressing my concerns. Hasty market took 30 minutes to give me the keys and return the car. There is only 1 car in the parking lot. Spending an hour waiting in a convenience store when it's completely empty doesn't make much sense to me. Especially when he had my ID and credit card the entire time. Was he stealing my identity? It was my first time moving into self storage, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised at this location. Purchasing, check in, and access was simple and secure both for pedestrian and cars (you can pull right into a covered loading dock for self storage). I purchased a climate controlled locker and was surprised how clean and well lit the facility was. Although my unit was on the 2nd floor, the elevator worked smoothly and there were wheeled carts available to borrow. I was impressed to find a poison control box in my storage unit too. I enjoyed how the entrance to self storage is located close to the front, rather than the back of other self storage facilities I've seen. The only small inconvenience were the steps / ledge at the loading dock for smaller/van-sized vehicles. There was not a lot of room to move large furniture and it required lifting from the van to the ledge at chest level. More room and a ramp would have been ideal, but with 2 or more people it is not a problem. Although there was a bit of a wait (Sunday) the day I moved in, all representatives were very pleasant and helpful, and the general manager was accommodating when I requested a unit on a lower floor. They were also helpful when I was unsure about what size storage locker to purchase. Had to wait everytime I wanted to speak to the staff. No sense of urgency. The disc lock sold by uhaul broke with the key on falling to the ground, was not compensated for the same. While checking out, had to wait for almost 25 minutes to get the representative to give me the clearance. I was emailed asking to pay for the next month even after checking out. I am 6' 1" and because of a structural column, the entrance to our compartment is about 5" on a higher level, so I climb the steps, and smashed my head against the door. There should be a warning on the door, watch your head, especially because the compartments on either side have normal height doors. I went home with my face covered in blood. Positives: The storage unit met its purpose for us, the staff was friendly anytime time we interacted with them. Negatives: The access hours are inconvenient, you can’t always predict how long a move will take. I’ve written about this before to U-Haul and did not get any response. When we moved into the unit I had booked online previous but was made to go through the entire process again. I am not sure how it was possible but it too 40+ minutes, not including the time I waited in line.
