Had to wait in line over a hour to rent a trailer. When I returned the trailer I had to wait over 40 min. Uhaul was a Very slow service. Not only that when I returned a trailer the last time i left something in the trailer, I tried calling to pick it up was on hold for 30min. Best service out of all Hamilton area locations. Always top notch customer service and a large inventory of equipment is available. I rented a 6x12 utility trailer , they tow very nice down the road and are built very solid.Jeffrey F.
I suggest to keep the parking lot clean and organised. Also, giving $50 for reservation guarantee is not sufficient to compensate the inconvenience. We got one size smaller which was double the work and two trip to complete the moving.Amit P.
Start all trucks completely full of gas. Makes filling up easier. I overfilled and I haven't been discounted on mileage or anything. I constantly checked as I was filling up to avoid overfilling, but the gauge stayed below half before I decided to just finish at $55; for 40 kms. When I restarted the truck, it ended up going up to 3/4 of a tank instead of the 1/2 I needed to have in there. State clearer on the website that the trucks that are priced per km are return rentals only. There was no drop box when I returned the truck. Walked around the entire building and was concerned I was going to be charged an extra use of day because I couldn't return the key to the proper spot; had to leave the key in the sun visor of the truck.JENNIFER M.

I expected a quick review of the truck since I had never driven one. However, I made out okay anyway. It would be easier if the truck was full and you had to return it full. Then there's no calculating to do. The way it's set up, I expect that customers return the truck with more gas than they started with which is a bigger deal now with the price of a litreARLENE C.

I was on the phone waiting to make a reservation which took over an hourâ€¦. When I needed to contact the location to edit my arrival time, I was again holding for over an hour. I decided to then call another location in Hamilton to have them edit the time foe me. Next time I will use an alternate location as it was extremely frustrating and a waste of my time to wait so long. This was NOT an isolated incident. This occurs often which shows that management needs to add staff to the schedule for those peak periods or they will loose customers.KIMMICHELLE L.

Booking the rental was easy and all questions regarding availability were solved with a phone call. Getting the items I rented signed out to me took almost an entire hour. The two young attendants working at my pickup location did not appear to be very well trained. The one I was dealing with directly at first struggled a lot with the computer he was using to verify my pickup and rental information. He ended up doing the check-in process multiple times before he got it right. The other attendant was more interested in wrapping up end-of-day closing duties than offering any help to his struggling co-worker. When I did finally get the vehicle keys and needed to get from the parking area to the trailer I had also rented, the attendant who was more interesting ending his shift assumed multiple times that I was finished with the vehicle and dropping it off. He tried several times to tell me to park it and hand in the keys. Only after I physically parked in his way did he stop long enough for me to tell him that I needed to get the trailer hooked up to the truck so I could leave with the truck and trailer I had only moments before been handed they keys to. The vehicle and trailer performed as they should and allowed me to do the tasks for which I had rented them. The after-hours check in was also very easy. The web page was very clear in what pics to take as well as what to do with the truck and trailer.Blair S.
Truck not ready at original location, had to go extra km to this location, was told by area supervisor would get $50. Didn't happen. Called him, he said he would handle it. Didn't happen. Dropped truck after hours, couldn't get location to sync with my phone. Called 800 number, on hold for almost an hour, then confirmed with CSR that I left truck at correct location, shouldn't be charge extra. I was. Really pleased with the service, good team there, explained all I needed, attached the trailer quickly and I was on my way. The website led me to believe that six hours would be enough, so I asked for 10. Well, I needed it overnight, but the team gently explained that my trailer was needed by the next renter. Website also said the location opened at 0800 I think, yet they had been there since 0700, which would also have helped. I could have avoided the traffic and been quicker. Very disappointed. Called approximately 1.5 hours prior to going to pick-up the rental and was told my rental was ready. When I arrived I was informed that my rental had not been returned and I needed to wait for the unit to be returned. After waiting an hour I was finally able to get a rental of another unit. My unit had NOT been returned, but another unit was available. When completing the rental details, the customer service person indicated that the return was going to be the same day in approximately 2 hours. My reservation was for 48 hour rental. Other than the girl that completely ignored me in the morning and the trailer that smelled like a mechanic shop, and the long lineup to return...the trailer towed great and the gentleman that received the trailer in the yard for me was excellent. I was informed the day before moving that u haul had double booked the 26ft truck I required & was not too pleased but I was offered a $50 credit with a 20ft instead, although upon arrival the lovely Michelle assisted me & let me know I had a 26ft waiting for me which was a big deal, she was so helpful, personable, friendly & really went out of her way to help me upon returning the truck as well so I really appreciated that. 2 months anticipation I've reserved a 26â€ truck ended up with a 20â€ and then I had to rent another 15â€ truck because my things didn't fit in a 20â€. They said that no matter if rent with enough time depends of daily demands, so paid 2 trucks just because they didn't honoured my reservation . Sad !!! The first night I got there to check in and the system was done, I was unable to get the storage unit that night. The following day I worked until 6pm and got there just before close. The entrance driveway @ Highland Rd needs the pot holes filled. This can cause vehicle tires to bulge & get damaged- can be dangerous ! The back RV lot also needs the low spots filled. There are many large puddles when it rains. Understanding that the premises is up for renovations but the pot holes & low spots are a simple fix to convenience customers. When I first moved my stuff into the storage locker, I went to the office and said it’s very dark in there & I can’t see anything and that the light bulb is burnt out. They told me I needed to bring my own lightbulb from home as they don’t supply them. As I was just staring at the young guy in stunned silence, he added, “My manager says, we supply the electricity, but not the lightbulbs”. So, my next trip to bring stuff in, I actually brought a ladder and a lightbulb to change it myself so I could see. Seriously, U-Haul, have a few behind the counter to change them out when they blow....people moving or storing stuff have enough on their plate!!
