This was the 3rd Uhaul I had to go to, to get equipment that would go one way! The first one I was sent to by the website they sent me to another location and that location had nothing then finally had to go a half hour out of my way to a location that had the equipment! Very poor showing by haul! Spent the time I was supposed to be packing driving around looking for something to pack into

Guy checking the vehicle back in was not friendly. Customer Service overall picking up and dropping off was not very good in fact. People working there act like they are doing you a favor by helping you but the fact of the matter is that without the customer, they don't have a job.

I mentioned above that the equipment was clean and well maintained however the equipment seemed to be well maintained mechanically but it was not very clean. For example the windshield was not clean.

I reserved a 17 foot truck on a Thursday for the next day, Friday. When I arrived at the Uhaul office on Friday, they didn't have the 17 foot truck available. I recommend that they have in stock the trucks that you are able to reserve online.

This comment has nothing to do with the 1250 west maple address they were great, however uhaul dispatch service was so terrible I may never come back. I had a confirmed reservation at 7 am and had to drive around to four locations in the Detroit metro wasting 3 hours to finally find a tow dolly. Each facility could not produce a working trailer or was over booked. I have never been more disappointed by poor service in my life. Each time I called I was on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes and had to call 4 times to get this right. Total waste of time, day ruined and customer most likely not coming back...

Using your app to save time was a complete joke! After doing everything I’m supposed to do with the app i still had to go into the store and wait to get the rental. An example of how poorly things were is that the truck the app told me to use was third in line with no way to take it. Employees even acknowledged app not that great. Too bad!!!!

When I came into the building the man behind the counter walked out and said he would be back. Other customers came in and waited with me and he did not come back finally someone else came in and helped me. Now Dave the young man who did my trailer brake install was GREAT took the time to ask where I wanted it mounted and explained how it worked. I had my wife;s van wired for a hitch a while ago and he did it also. Very nice young man.

The 10’ truck I rented did not ride smoothly. Any bump in the road, small or large, felt harder than it should. It made me feel like my contents in the truck were moving around a lot more than they should have. I recently rented the same type of truck from U-Haul not long ago and it rode very smoothly. I let the employees know about how the truck rode when I dropped it off.

The trailer coupler was not properly connected to the ball hitch on the vehicle. After less than a mile down the road, the trailer bounced off the hitch. Fortunately the safely chains caught. I was going straight and slow enough to stop the trailer safety. It took over two hours for U-Haul Roadside Assistant to come fix the wiring harness and the coupler.

You could do almost everything better. The online check-in gave me a truck that wasn't even there, which wasted 20 minutes. Then, it gave a new truck to me that had already been contracted to someone else, which caused a huge parking lot altercation with me being threatened with violence. In total, it cost me 50 minutes. Then, I was given a truck that was clearly meant for local use only, as it had almost 142,000 miles on it, had inoperable power steering, horrible break pump noise, some other sort of unidentifiable horrible shrieking sound and vibrated like crazy on the highway. Oh, and the ash tray was filled with ashes and cigarette butts.

clean the truck! I could not see through the windshield it was so dirty on the inside, so were the driver side mirror covered in bird feces, and the inside of the truck was full of refuses from construction. I took a picture of the trash.

This complain is regarding contract 86833657 that I had to cancel because the harness of the truck is non working order so I had to go to COMPLETELY out of my way to pick a working truck. FYI. I had complained about the same truck (GMC ) last year without any resolution Bad GMC truck location 50387 Van dyke avenue Shelby Township mi 48317 I had already requested a Chevy truck at that specific location because I know it’s working and still ended up with THE NON WORKING GMC I waisted 2 and half hours of my time and over 40 unnecessary miles. I would like to be contacted directly 248.249.0547 to take care of this issue !! ITS TOTALLY INCONVENIENCE AND I SHOULD BE REFUNDED

It was very crowded and hard to park, then hard to get out with the truck because of how people were parked. But they had a very large selection or trucks and trailers on property which was nice. I did not like how the price (or number of miles) I was given online was anywhere to be found. Not in my confirmation email or the info the gal had at the counter. And they shrugged it off, like it happens all the time. She originally tried to charge me over $150 more than my online reservation quoted me, and eventually brought it down so I only paid $18 more. Then they changed my drop off location at time of drop off, which was fine because it ended up being closer, but the gentleman on the phone said my allowed miles and price wouldn’t change. Yet I was charged for going over my miles, even though I was 11 miles under what I was told. I contacted them about this 5 days ago and still haven’t heard back. Overall the truck and locations were good, but you need to improve your online reservation system if you’re going to use it. We went with U-haul (after checking other companies) because it seemed to be so easy to book online, but that didn’t carry over, which is frustrating.

We had not finished loading on Saturday and when we arrived to pack the last heavy pieces, I was told that the box had been “put up” and a 24 hour notice was required to access the box. We only had access for 48 hours, from the time we accepted delivery until time to ship, so why would the box be “put up”? This is something that should be explained at the time the contract is signed. In the end, the box had NOT been “put up” and everything got put in the box on Sunday. This was our first experience with UBox and it was excellent overall. The staff is knowledgeable and communicated well other than the single misunderstanding. Will definitely recommend!!

BEWARE, I did not rent a truck from the Troy Michigan Uhaul. I live three hours away near Saginaw. 17 hours wasted trying to get Uhaul to look up the fraud. So I have to file a police report for credit card identity theft because no one at Uhaul can look up the transaction. I recommend caution. This is not the way to run a Moving Center. Even Uhaul corporate did not care enough to help. I will contact an attorney on Monday morning to see if she can help me since Uhaul won't.

The gas level was not at posted mark, truck was now swept out and had dirt and mud clumps in it, upon arriving had to wait over 7 min just for someone to great me. Was the worst customer experience to date. I had to ask the rep to show me to the truck to ask questions. No professionalism.

I did the online booking and when I arrived instead of handing me the keys they proceeded to sign me up for a different van. This charged me twice which I was upset about. They also asked for me not to look at the gas level or the quality of the van. He kept saying "I promise it's fine", "I promise we won't charge you". It was a very difficult and insulting experience.

Everything was great, as always until we returned 14 minutes late. When I received the receipt, I called to inquire about being charged for an entire extra day. The rude, snotty, unhelpful employee kept telling me there was nothing that could be done. I was insistent and asked to speak with a manager. He transferred me to corporate customer service who told me that there is a 30 minute grace period. I asked if I had to call to get it, because that is what the local employee said...that had I called they could have done something. The corporate employee said not at all needed. She then proceeded to credit me back the second day. I rent almost monthly for my business, and I was treated horribly. I would like to know if the employee was poorly trained or if he simply lied to me for whatever reason.

Your computer system is outdated or needs updating. I was at the store nearly 1 hour, waiting for the printing of the discounted invoice. Employee was very helpful, but could not print out the invoice with discount, even though it was in the system at the discounted rate. He had to get permission to override the system, hence, the one hour wait.

Because of that I was able to get it parked right on target. Plenty of room in the lot to back around. Good experience.

Facility was great. I did after hour drop off, however when I dropped off my trailer I called UHaul to inform them. I was hung up on twice this was frustrating, especially since I was never called back.

The check-in process And staff were great. The Truck got the job done for me and was clean. However the exhaust was extremely loud and it needs to be repaired and I’m surprised it was rented in the condition it was.

I've worked with UHaul a lot this winter and overall, have been very pleased and plan to continue with this location re: business this spring. Good facility, helpful staff, especially the young woman who sometimes works weekends, but all were great. Only problem so far: I just rented a storage unit and the alarm kept going off whenever I raised the door. Problem is supposed to be fixed by tomorrow. Other than that, all fine.

Yes i would recommend this location if it’s the closest since one pays per mile. But the equipment seems to not be well maintained because the steering wheel shook on the highway. Also to set the seat location was not easy.

Five star facility. Very clean. Big elevator. Everything was new and in great shape. Easy loading and unloading because of well designed dock and interior access. Provided carts very helpful.
