The rebtal process went smoothly and the staff was kind and friendly. I made a misscalcularion on my side and I filled up the tank before only driving it for 20 miles. I wish I had waited to fill it up when returning it.

I was very surprised to see employees moving trucks around blowing the horn while backing up, I would think U-Haul would spec their trucks with back up alarms ? Very large place but could use better signage to show where office is in back.

To who is in charge and can respond to this, I had the absolute worst Uhaul experience. My first and definitely my last experience. I will be sending this over to the news stations also. I reserved through Uhaul in the Troy, MI location to rent a 15' truck and an auto transport for my jeep to drive to my new apartment in the Chicago, IL area and be there by Saturday 5/7/16 to sign my lease and get the key to move in and have some time to settle before my first day of work Monday 5/9/16.. I needed to be in Chicago before 4pm on Saturday to sign my apartment lease so I can get the key and move in before they close at 5pm. I was promoted for work and I chose Uhaul for my moving process. Guess what happened to me : 1. I walked in during my break at work on Thursday 5/5/16 and completed the transaction to get the key to the truck and informed the Uhaul worker, that I will come back to pick it up and the auto transport that I paid for, the next day. He specifically asked when I will be picking up the truck and auto transport and I told him Friday afternoon. Came back next day to pick up the truck and auto transport and he tells me the auto transport isnt available. After waiting 40 minutes and pleading that he fixes the problem since I had moving help waiting at my apartment... he sends his co worker to pick up the auto transport from another location about 30 min away. I had to come back and pick it up after their closing hours. 2. NEXT DAY My boyfriend and I get on the road and the auto transport tire goes out on us. We called roadside assistance and the uhaul representative explained it will be an hour and a half max wait. She asked for the details of the situation so she can find us the right help. We waited 2 hours and 15 minutes until the help arrived. Help arrived with the wrong tire size. They had to leave and come back, another 45 minutes. 3. Less than an hour later, another tire on the auto transport goes out on us. We called roadside service and were told to wait max an hour. Help arrives and its fixed. By that time, we were late to arrive on time to get into the apartment. So, we had to stay at a hotel. We also realized in the Uhaul truck there was a sticker that says if moving help is needed to go on the website and get movers to help us if we needed it. We did. We paid to reserve two movers for the next day, Sunday 5/8/16. 4. We recieved a confirmation email regarding the moving help we paid for. and the number of the moving help so we can call to reserve a time. We called and the guy confirmed the time with us. We arrive at the apartment complex and the movers were waiting there for us. Two young guys come out and talk to us letting us know they are the movers. We open the door for them and told them we would be back after finishing a few things in the leasing office. After they finish i go and find that they went into my bag of drinks (vitamin water) and groceries for my apartment were missing. I confronted them and the

Dropped off vehicle Saturday 11p.m. Was never checked in. Had to go there Monday and find out why. "New kids working Sunday morning" was explanation I received. Initial check out was botched as well. They pulled up wrong vehicle and had to go back inside for new paperwork- another 15 minute wait while everyone behind me in line was upset, as well.

I was assigned one car hauler trailer that was newer and parked in front of the older trailer I was assigned to. The rep suggested I take the trailer that was in front even after I advised him this did not align with my contract. I was called 10 minutes later to return and switch trailers. Trailer worked fine but was old rusty and license was tie wrapped to the trailer and upside down. He apologized and equipment worked fine - just annoying having to return.
