While the Van itself was clean, it really stunk from cigarette smoke. Your team was professional, but this location is extremely short-staffed. I have been here several times over the past 19 years and it is always a long wait. COVID just seemed to add to it. The app process is tedious, but I guess I will go that route in the future. I also registered online...also very tedious. No one ever answers the phone here either.

I used the truck for 28 miles and I filled the Gas and returned with more than the gas level it was at the time of pickup, yet I was charged $6 for gas. This is cheap business cheating customers. Because of Covid issue , i didn't pay much attention to the final bill. Shame on looting the customers.

The customer service was EXCELLENT especially since there was “ONLY ONE” person working and servicing ALL the customers on Saturday Nov 7. When I picked up the vehicle there were 5 people in line. When I returned the vehicle there were 7 people in line and some people were complaining- not realizing the location was short staffed (one person- bare minimum service available)... he was running the complete office!!! He needs a Recognition and a raise!!!


The person waiting on me was not friendly. He did his job ok but seemed incredibly unhappy well doing so.

I am a big fan of UHaul and love the chance to use your products. However, I used the Maple rd in Troy location for the first time and was quite disappointed. #1 nobody wore masks. No employee had a mask near them. It's not like they were just wearing them poorly, they were not wearing them at all. Unacceptable #2 my truck reeked of body odor, I don't think anyone had cleaned it. It was honestly filthy which is not what I am used to receiving with U-Haul Anyway, hope this is helpful. I'll not be returning to that location

I waited 30 minutes behind a customer who showed up later than his pickup time and struggled to find a truck to rent. Plus another customer insisted on waiting for her email receipt despite lag time. Either need more employees or more assertive staff.

I received a call as soon as I submit the request. The rep told me the location to pick up the equipment would be in Warren. I arrived at Warren and they told me it was moved to Troy. I got to Troy and they gave me the Auto Transport trailer, but I selected the "Tractor" option in my online request. After it was obvious to me my riding mower wouldn't fit to an AT trailer they set me up with a smaller trailer with ramp. The equipment was great, no issue there. It seems there's a procedural issue in knowing where equipment is -- if it is moved, not confirming the location with the customer, and what does the Tractor option mean with asking for a trailer? What should be selected for a riding mower?

Having 2 lines for pick up would be great. I made a reservation, did the on line check in - still took an hour to pick up. The line was long and full of people who didn't make a reservation (their choice) - but I think those who did should not be punished Also - after the hour inside - it took 15 mins to get the trailer due to people buying propane. Understand it is another stream of revenue - but again - some sort of taking turns would be appreciated

Picking up was a disaster. First, I waited in line for almost 40 minutes with only 4-5 people ahead of me. Then, when I met with an employee, it took another 5-10 minutes. I had an online reservation so there was no reason it should have taken more time than to check my ID and credit card. There should have been more employees helping and the computer systems need updated so they are easier to use!!

Flat bed pick up truck had dirt and gravel in the bed. Had to clean it before we could use it to move furniture. There should be more than one person at the truck pick up desk on a busy Saturday morning. Staff should be wearing masks to protect customers during Covid; all the customers were wearing them.

This was the third location I had to go to get an auto transport that day.. First location was a guaranteed reservation made online by myself for 48 hours with the $50 guarantee. They did not have a trailer on site. The agent credited my card for $50 then made a reservation for me at a location 6 miles away and sent me there. They had a trailer but it was not available as she had entered only 6 hours. The agent there called a third location and verified the auto transport was available and sent me there. That was about 20 miles away but they had it. I was originally set to pick up at 11:30 AM but didn't get hooked up until 1 PM. I have had issues with your reservation system in th past and never count on anything bein g accurate with it. I normally go to a closer location by me and try to call and speak with them but after a few rings the call transfer to youjr call center and they do nothing but use your online system that doesn't relly mean anything. if iIhad another option I would not use U Haul

Employee in the morning of 10/29/20 was walking around the store with no mask on. Definitely not one to pass judgement, but during a pandemic I wouldn't be walking around without a mask on. He seemed like he didn't want to be there and seemed genuinely irritated customers were there.
