My only suggestion would be to have signage directing where to park when encountering temporary vehicle swap situations. This location does an excellent job from pick up to drop off! I had to really give this a few moments thought.

Better help at the counter, Their put the two wheeler in the way, so you get charged for it even if you don't use it!! We rented a trailer and told us that we couldn't unhook it so we wouldn't be able to use the ramp on the truck, how the hell do you expect us to load the truck???????

The service agent waiting on myself and the customer before me was very rude to both of us. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but was very cranky. He raised his voice when we didn't answer questions to his satisfaction. He needs to be more specific when asking us questions, so we are not trying to guess at the answers he is looking for.

Too many trucks in lot. Returns were lined up almost to the road.

The truck was clean inside and out, however someone had been smoking in the truck body prior to my picking the truck up at 7:30 am. That should not happen, it was disgusting. No one should be smoking in the cargo area of your excellent pieces of equipment.. Period!

Salesman who checked us out was quite rude and didn't seem to want to be bothered. It's a man who clearly hates his job. Our return was to a Jacob Libby (bushy hair/beard). He was excellent: pleasant, knowledgeable, polite. Equip was fine. The 'below average rating was due to the guy who checked us out.

I was charged for extra milage and fuel that I was not aware of. I was not advised of this charge until I saw it in an email days later. I called to inquire about this and a 200.00 credit we were due since UHaul asked us to return the truck to a different location than we had set up in the reservation and we had not received it yet. I unfortunately spoke to Wade, area field manager, that was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in customer service anywhere! I will never use UHaul or recommend!!

I'm a traveling nurse and every state I travel to before I leave I have to rent a uhaul , and I have never have no problem thanks uhaul rentals I feel like I'm VIP Murel J

Overall experience on renting the truck was not good. Made the reservation 2 weeks prior to the rental date and received a call Friday after noon to tell me that the truck I rented was not available at the location I choose and told me I had to go to another location 40 minutes away for the rental. When you are trying to move and stressed out already then told I have to go to another location, yes I was very upset. The online experience was terrible and you are given misleading information. I was told as well that I could do the self check in to get the truck and that was never set up. I have rented from Uhaul before and have never had this much issues. Not sure I will rent from Uhaul again.

The truck was fine. When renting however, I asked about additional days because when completing online it only went up to 24 hours. The guy said it would be fine, and the amount billed would be just be adjusted when the truck was returned. I picked the truck up at 4 pm on Thursday. We needed the truck an extra day but was then called at 5pm Friday and told the truck needed to be back before opening the following day because it had been rented out again. We had the truck back before 7am opening on Saturday as requested but I was still charged the 2nd day even though I couldn't/ didn't keep the truck until 4pm. Saturday.

Van was dusty and cab was not clean had a large number of flys in the van it was disgusting. With covid you should be indicating that they have been sanitized. It was absolutely disgusting to have all those flys in thr van and i could not get them out 90 bucks for a van rental. I should get a refund. Told the manager and called service and all i got was sorry. I have used u-haul all my life.

The guy called me to let me know l had to have the truck back by noon. He called at 1pm I told him I had hurt my back and would get someone to bring it back. I was two hours late. He charged me $54.dollars for the truck and another $20. For the trailer which was returned on Tuesday. So he says I'll take off the $20. Really $54.for being two hours over after paying about $1600.00. Where's the customer service?

There was an issue with the UHAUL computer system so the location was unable to do anything online. All of my info needed to be hand written, including Credit card info. That was a bit bothersome, but they did a great job under the circumstances

It is abundantly clear that making a reservation for a specific item has no bearing on whether the vehicle or trailer reserved will be available. Twice now I have reserved a piece of equipment through U-Haul, a 26 foot truck in August and a 12 foot trailer in September, and both times the equipment was not available. On would wonder what is the point in the reservation? Fortunately, on both occasions I was able to get the equipment from another facility, however, I had to make a 60 mile trip for the truck and a 30 mile trip for the trailer.

No one answers the phone at this location (Auburn, ME). I had to make a reservation through a different location, who were amazing but didn't have the size trailer I needed. While the person I spoke with face to face was pleasant enough, they were not very forthcoming. He asked me what time I'd be returning the trailer (which was full of twigs from the previous renter) and said it was fine if I did so after they closed, but he failed to mention there was a $20 fee for that. He only said I'd have to take some pictures. I was only 38 minutes late. Had I known, I'd have made sure to be there before they closed to save myself $20, but they didn't answer the phone when I called to let them know I'd be late. The self-return feature of their website didn't work, either so I called the following morning to make sure everything was ok. No one answered and my call was eventually routed to Phoenix where someone explained why my bill exceeded what I originally thought was quite affordable. She graciously offered to let the manager know I wished to dispute the charge and said he'd give me a call. As you can imagine, I've yet to hear anything.

While I appreciate the use of the vehicle. I specifically told the representative when she mentioned my ex's name, Please REMOVE THAT NAME. She failed to do so apparently, because my ex called and asked why he recieved confirmation on a uhaul reservation. This was unacceptable!!! I did not want him to know I was moving. This put me at risk. Secondly, when I arrived at the Uhaul dealership in Auburn, Maine, The manager at the desk had the most unhelpful customer service I have recieved. When I arrived at 7:30am for my 15 ft truck, it was ready and waiting. I used the online check-in process before arriving so it really shortens your wait time once you are at the desk. Gentleman who processed my check-in was very polite and processed my information efficiently. He was very clear on policies and very clear to describe where my truck was waiting. Checking back in was just dropping key off and I received an email within the hour about what my fees were. Easy problem free process. Thank you!

Couldn't tell the mileage when the truck was on because the odometer area had the words “oil change needed” in its place. Not a great look when it took me nearly 20 minutes to do the remote check in as opposed to talking to the person inside the location.

I have sent an email to corporate about my experience today. Unclean vehicle, contactless pickup was not contactless, moving supplies were not in the vehicle or staged for me, employees and OWNER were incredibly rude. My money was not refunded. This is a terrible experience and an unbelievably poorly run facility. I would not and will not recommend or use this location ever again.

No problem at all with the Auburn, Maine location. I've used this location for years. BUT your UHaul WEBSITE needs fixing!!!!!! It fouled up MY reservation putting some other city instead of Auburn (and I know I typed Auburn, Me!!!) and the other city started with an O like Oxford or Oxnard, or something like that!!!! NO way I mistyped any such city!!! I know I put in Auburn, Me several times as your site kept changing the date from the 11th too, and I kept going back to the start; BUT you website messed up the reservation!!! Auburn location was able to rent me a trunk anyway. But that WEBSITE needs fixing.

Associate went out to clean truck, but when I got in the windshield was filthy. GPS suction mounts all over it and the passengers side windshield was covered with smears from someone's toes. Really concerning during a pandemic that a vehicle was issued in this condition. I sanitized the vehicle myself when I got to my home. Also, when I arrived there was no vehicle there for me. They called someone who was still several states away and decided to keep the vehicle without notifying uhaul. Luckily, someone dropped off another vehicle within 15min. I ordered moving blankets also and when I arrived home they were not in the vehicle. I called and was issued a credit and a less than sincere apology for the error

You charged me aCcount for a month's rent on May 16 2020 after I had all my belongings removed on May 15, 2020 Why? So, obviously you are attempting to take something that does not belong to you which is call STEALING. And I had called personally to speak with the manger day's prior to let him know all my belongings.would be removed prior to the end date on my one month storage rental. So you were duly informed and away. .

Where to start. Thank god it was a free month because we rented a uhaul trailer cross country or I never would have lasted the month. There are soooo many trucks parked everywhere it is hard to drive around or park your vehicle. There was always a truck parked in front of all one side of the units. You had to call to say please move the trucks so I can load and unload stuff. Very inconvenient. We were going to sign on for a year but it is too busy in that lot and way too many headaches and besides we found a unit in town for half the price uhaul quoted me! So overall we were not happy with U-Haul!!

Almost everything I had in storage was destroyed by mice. Wasted thousands of dollars to store things for them all to be destroyed. Unit always blocked by trucks. Rates constantly increased.
