It smelled like Urine
Lauren S.I'm getting charged $92 for gas that they said I didn't put back in the truck. I received the truck almost on empty and that's how I returned the truck. It was 35 miles to empty when I returned it. This is very unfair to me and I should not be getting charged for this.

DAngelo M.You need to de-bug on every use! When I put the dolly in the truck to take off there was a roach that fell from the truck. Think it was the only 1 in there I continued to my destination. Loaded up the fridge, headed home and opened the door to get fridge out and another roach fell out and took off. While getting the fridge out one crawed on my son. He did kill that one and I have a picture of it! If any got in my fridge and I get roaches I will be contacting uhaul! Seems how I didn't even get a discount. If need to see picture I will submit it
tammy B.This was a location pickup change from another location. In the process, the furniture dolly that I had ordered was no available and no solution was offered. By the way, I had ordered a king mattress cover and had to go to the original pickup location in addition to picking up the truck at the new location. Good think I was in a good mood.

Michael W. | Overall ExperienceI lived 2.2 miles away from this location. From my old home to my new home it's 1.2 miles. Though we had the truck for 5 days it sat in the driveway and we didn't move it. Somehow I was charged for 65 miles! We didn't take photos of the milage before and after so that's on us, but I don't recommend this location because they're shady.

This has happened to a few people I know that has rented thru uhaul!! So when someone makes reservations make sure u have something they want I know life happens but we had to drive 10 miles out of way cuz the one 1.3 miles away messed up

Emily W. | First ImpressionsI could not figure out how to do the online return. It was not user friendly enough. I had to just leave the keys and called in that night when I returned it and then had to call back to verify because that's what the agent told me to do. Also I was given a guarantee and then it was changed in less then 24 hours and was not credited for the mileage difference. Yes I was given the 50$ for the messed up guarantee however it did not account the mileage difference that I used to get to and from that location to where I was moving. It was counter productive. Other than that the truck was fine, ran well, and was clean.

Dawn S.I had more issues when dropping the truck off. I called the number to return the truck and never spoke to anyone. I waited for someone to check-in the truck at the drop-off point, but no one came out. I went in to get things taken care of and just left the keys with a women who had just driven around the lot. Definitely unimpressed with the whole situation through and through.

Lakesha B.This was a fiasco from the start. the 2 nice ladies were very helpful. The first car trailer the surge brakes were malfunctioning. The personnel at the Streetsboro location confirmed this. Had I take this trailer there WOULD OF BEEN AN ACCIDENT!! I am Demanding compensation or I will challenge the entire amount on my credit card. The ladies did fine me a trailer in Akron which was Safe.
Mark H.Obviously would be a huge investment and not a big issue when gas is cheaper but more fuel efficient trucks would be great. Also, on the particular truck I rented the padlock was broken so I couldn't lock the cargo area. Other than that, the truck was perfect and the whole process was smooth.

Troy G.Truck was not clean on the inside. We requested an appliance dolly with our reservation. Location did not have one, person working told us we needed to drive to another uhaul to get one. Tried calling other locations they didn't answer the phone. Ended up renting from Home Depot

Romulo A.This was not my preferred pick up location - I live close to the Kent location (which is where I went to arrange the rental), so this was out of my way and required back tracking during an already limited time window for my move. U-haul should take responsibility for getting the appropriate rental to the appropriate location for the customer - it should not fall on the customer to be inconvenienced. Also, trucks should be returned with a full tank of gas - again, the customer should not be inconvenienced to have to fill the tank as soon as receiving the rental. Returning rentals with a full tank of gas also takes the guess work out of determining how much gas to put in the tank to match the return with the level at pickup (U-Haul got some free gas from me - I'm sure they make out well with this on a regular basis. Finally, even with the alternate pick-up location, I was not able to get the rental I needed and wanted - all I needed was a cargo van - it is ridiculous that these cannot be rented for one-way. Additionally, the 10' truck I was forced to take then became a 15' truck - way more truck than I needed or wanted. I know U-Haul likes to call that an "upgrade", but it is not - it gets poorer gas mileage which means additional cost to the customer (especially with today's highly elevated fuel prices). Additionally, should there by damage to the rental, it would require a higher repair or replacement coverage by my insurance provider. This is not an upgrade!
Robert C.We originally scheduled our pick up for the Arlington Road location and upon arrival we found out the truck wasn't available due to a nauseating smell and it needed cleaned. After calling corporate the Arlington location found us a truck at the Fountain Street. We left to go north to get that truck. Delaying our moving schedule by an hour. We had hoped for an 8 hr rental but could only get 7 due to the truck needed to be back for another rental. The customer service on all ends was great. Truck was in decent condition is a very hard ride hitting any bump you felt it and the pictures on record needed to be updated with damaged spots. We went over our mileage we guesstimated because of the drive back to the Fountain Street location as it was farther away. That and the lost hr in the beginning and the lost hr in the end of it having to be back was a tad annoying. I was annoyed to pay more and lose two hours we had planned for moving for what seemed to be a central uhaul computer scheduling problem. Again all customer service reps we encountered at both locations were amazing.

Joshua H.When I got in my rental truck there was a semi parked directly infront of me and didn't move for 20 minutes taking away from my rental time I paid for. You need to have somewhere to get your deliveries away from customers so they can actually get their monies worth. As I got out to make the man move I dropped my car keys in the parking lot. I came to return my truck and see if my keys were turned in because I checked everywhere possible for my keys. I asked 2 employees and they just both shrugged their shoulders at me and didn't even look for my keys and just kept working. After I had my grandmother drive 30 miles to bring me my spare key, they decided to actually LOOK FOR MY KEYS and THEY HANDED ME MY CAR KEYS, after I sat outside in the 90 degree weather. Just beyond asinine behavior from people who are working in customer service. I will NEVER use this store and you shouldn't either.

diandre J.We reserved the truck, a tv box, and two dollies about a month in advance. Day of we were told there were no dollies available. That they don't have them anymore.... but they do have some for sale. I asked why it was an option on the reservation, why we weren't called and informed to make other arrangements, and if they sell them why not buy there own and offer them. Ethan (the manager) was EXTREMELY rude. I do not recommend this location. As of right now (day after) they haven't refunded for the dollies. Ethan wasn't even going to give us the tv box (paid for) until I reminded him. He was a total jerk. They also want all your info as well as a random friend. When asked why he said "If you crash and die a firey death, we need someone to contact to see about getting our equipment returned."

Marjorie T.The Manager, Ethan Muckleruth, is terribly unfriendly. As the head of the branch, I would think you would want to set a good example for your subordinates. Maybe you were having a bad day, but I felt like renting a truck from your location was an inconvenience for you! The truck had mechanical problems - which I understand happens. We were a half mile from another uhaul rental center, and could easily gotten it there and just traded vehicles. Instead it took 3 hours to get through your reporting process and wait for the repair. It was ridiculous

The reason why I got behind was because I lost my husband and I didn’t have any help doing that time.

From set up with the storage unit, stopping in to be by boxes and other supplies, to finally closing out the unit when I was done. They’re just not the slightest bit friendly. Not greeted when I walk up, no “thank you”, and simply nothing but the bare minimum in any interaction. It fascinated me every time just how unfriendly they were. I’ve used other facilities in the area and did not have the same experience, so it’s definitely unique to this one.

Completely inarticulate when it came to specifics of their job.
