The truck was not at the location I requested. We weren't able to see the car we were towing because of how the hitch was placed. The drop off locations were not specified and were not easy to locate. Lastly, dont say a customer can make changes to their order by loging into the website, if they actually cant and must call customer service. It was very stressful in an already hectic time.

Customer service representatives seemed to lack the appropriate training to make the U Haul experience go smoothly. They had me signed out with 2 different trucks at the same time and then the paper work that I was given didn’t match the truck I was getting ready to take and so it was suppose to be corrected and upon return it was a huge mess. Check out was worse than checking in. Very disheartening. Causing me to be late for a scheduled appointment which took me 3.5 weeks to get. I’m very upset by the whole experience.

This location was great for campus students and had availability to fit the needs of a move of any size. The staff that assisted me were very helpful and assisted me swiftly so that I could focus on my move. I had a lot of things go wrong during my move, but renting, returning, and the service made things a lot easier for me!

Overcharged me for an extra day and failed to apply military discount. I paid $14 for insurance coverage on the first day and did not elect to have any further coverage. I was overcharged $82, plus unapplied military discount and all applicable taxes. And I also never signed and agreed to the final charges.

I would not recommend The location of E waterloo road Akron Ohio. The person working for u haul at that location gave out our reserved truck. I attempted to pick the truck up in the morning and they told me to come back at 12. At 12 o’clock the truck was still not back, after rechecking at 130 I had to call U-Haul and arrange another truck myself. I was only compensated 50 dollars and my complete day was ruined. I had commitments for the evening that I had to miss due to this location. Clearly the Location should have arranged for another truck for me immediately when the one we reserved wasn’t available.

The place was very busy, and only had 2 people working. I was on a limited time frame, and was told I couldn't split the payment and there was nothing they could do, so I had to rush 15 minutes across town to my bank, then 15 minutes back to make the payment with my card and had to wait another 20 minutes before I could finish my order so I could go move, then filled the tank up, came back to the lot, to be very little short of a full tank, to be charged more. Then while talking to the man, someone pulls another truck in and hits the back end of the truck I was returning. Customer service has some work to be done at this location to say the least.

This location was not where we had made our reservation to pick up a 26 foot truck. They called two days before and told me I had to pick up the truck in here and also that we needed to change our reservation time. The one person at the counter was trying to be helpful, but was busy and did not answer the phone with customers at the counter. They had no cash in the drawer so he had to ask two people in front of me for exact change. Of course they didn't have it. My truck was supposed to have moving blankets in it which we paid for. They weren't there and I didn't have time to pick them up later with the reservation change. Some of our furniture ended up damaged during the move without them available. The truck check engine light was on and the power steering wasn't working right. I had to muscle the wheel while stopped or making slow turns. It made driving the truck difficult and backing even worse. We called multiple times to tell somebody about the issues we were having and nobody would answer the phone. The uhaul answering service couldn't help and told us to drive back to Akron the next day and talk with the general manager who would be there between 8 and 5. The regular gm was on vacation and the substitute gm could not help us. We had to make an "action report" that will be reviewed later. We expect there will be no resolution to all of these problems. We had an overall bad experience and will not recommend this company to anybody ever.

This is the second time I have used this location, and I am using it again in a few weeks for another move. The owner was great - she helped me while trying to train a new employee at the same time! When I turned the truck in, I was met in the parking lot by a very, very, friendly employee who was outstanding! It took a whole one minute to complete the drop off. She was also able to answer my question about a future move rental. I planned on going into work late because of the time to drop the truck off, but I was on time because of the efficiency of this service!

I rented a Uhaul trailer for a one-way transport from Akron, OH to Wilmington, NC. I was given a 2 day rental since I was driving so far (hauling a vehicle). So I rented it on a Thursday night at 6:45pm and was told to turn it in by Saturday before 6:45pm. I asked which location in NC did I need to return it to and was told it did not matter as long as I got it there before the 48 hours expired. I ended up turning the trailer in to a NC location that was supposed to be open until 4:00pm. I arrived there at 3:45pm on Saturday but they were already closed for the day. I had to follow the instructions posted on the door of how to leave the equipment and the contract info through a mail slot. All sounds good so far?... BUT on the following Monday I was overcharged for 3 times the original contract amount because Uhaul says the trailer was not rented as a one-way. I called the corporate office and they refused to acknowledge that there was a mistake made. So for me, I'm out over $300.00. Uhaul will never receive my business again and I will certainly tell as many people and businesses about my experience and encourage them to be selective in using Uhaul as well. Hey Uhaul... USuck!!

Truck smelled of cigarettes. The key dropoff was difficult to find, never would have expected to drop keys into PVC pipe. The brochure for dropoff procedure and online procedure conflicted. I dropped keys off, then found out I had to take pictures of odometer. There should be 1 clear and concise set of directions for equipment dropoff.
