Relocate for work the 1st U-Haul was a mess so I return the U-Haul in got a up to date one , my job help me pay to move , so about 2 weeks ago I thought my U-Haul was stollen but it wasn’t yall got my tuff out in put in trash nobody called or texted

MARK SVestavia was great but I didn’t hook thru that location. I reserved thru the 280 Mountain Brook location on line. I went into store week before and was told by guy there that I was in the system but the system. When I arrived on Monday, guy at the desk was most unhelpful. He said system down, did have reservation , didn’t have a one way trailer and didn’t know what trailers wrrr on back. Simple, he could have cared less being there. Asked if he could patch me to Vestavia, he says didn’t have number but finally he wrote down number and have me card for area presidents I had a problem. I went to Cestavia, talked to manager and couldn’t have been more helpful. Guy at 280 location had no reason to be employed there. I normally don’t do feedback but this experience was so bad I felt someone in the U-Haul organization shod know if you really read these replys.

Carlton WSomehow my reservation was canceled at the Pelham location. An employee reached into the computer on May 15 and selectively canceled the reservation and I was not notified. Upon contacting this employee at Pelham, he blamed the computer somehow canceling it. He the reinstated the reservation after it was too late. Fortunately Vestavia had a trailer and saved the day. Uhaul should investigate this near miss catastrophe. Many unanswered questions mar the rental experience.

Alan QI don’t like self service renting of a vehicle. My truck sounded like gears were slipping, engine making a racing sound on return (not when I left but when was coming back.) Seats were torn. Truck appeared to be well used. I needed a receipt but said was going to email me but never came. Had to call back to customer service to ask to send. Was not on website.
leslie mU-Haul never lets me down. The staff is accommodating and helpful. U-Hauls return procedures are really good.
Jimmy LIf you don’t have a truck available even if you have a reservation, call the customer ahead of time.

Vince SAfter UHaul wasted 2 hours of my time in Birmingham, changing my pickup location to an out of business location with a one hour round trip AND spending one hour changing fuses on your truck so I could pull a UHaul trailer, this location has the nerve to charge me for an extra day because I was 2 hours late. No discussion, didn't ask for a reason, they were so in a hurry to add the extra charge they just didn't care. And they had a yard full of 26 foot trucks. And they charged my card without my signature.
Laban BWe had a major schedule change and I called to request an earlier pick-up time two days before our scheduled pickup. The woman I spoke to was not customer-service oriented. She was actually pretty rude on the phone with me. I had asked her if we could pick up a day early at first, and she would not even check to see if that was possible. When I then asked what was the earliest time we could pick up our trailer on Sunday, she said, "At your reservation time," with no offer to check to see if we could get it even a couple hours earlier. We drove by the location that night, and there were plenty of 4x8 trailers available. We were more than happy to pay for the extra day, but the fact that she would not even check to see if that was possible meant we had to move everything out of a dorm room, making multiple trips to a hotel to store it until we were able to get the trailer.
David WThe guy I worked with was GREAT. He was VERY helpful and conscientious of everyone’s time. Workers came in and asked about keys and rentals and he knew all of what was going on. He seemed ON IT. No issues with your main office group.

Tan DThe girl at the check out register had some attitude, was rude and unwilling to be helpful. She was talking on a personal phone call before helping me, while I was filling out forms and was hurrying me to return to her phone call. I had to ask three times about the charges which she wouldn't answer directly only to say, ' it is right there on the cashier machine - just look at it. I was looking and didn't understand, I was looking for an explanation and she couldn't be bothered to explain. When finished, she carelessly handed me my papers flopping them onto the desk. The young man assisting outside with the trailer was excellent. He was courteous, prompt, friendly and helpful.
MICHELLE WI have rented several utility and boxed trailers from this location. The equipment is always clean and well maintained. I feel safe using U Haul equipment. The people working at this location are friendly and professional. This location also has a large inventory of equipment and supplies. I highly recommend this location!

Lane TMake sure that the truck reserved is available at the location that you show up to to pick it up. I’ve used U-Haul three times and twice I’ve had to drive out of my way to go to another location to get the truck that I reserved.

Demetria BMade reservation a week prior, gave card info to hold the reservation, I was emailed a contract with the quoted amount and the card I used for the resrvation. When I went to pu the trailer the manager wanted about $90 more than on my contract. I had the contract with me but did not want to honor the agreed amount. There was a contract number on the paperwork, all she had to do was honor the contract I presented her from the previous week.

HAYTHEM AIn my reservation it said no insurance. I confirmed to the person at the store no insurance. When went to extend the truck for a day it added insurance. The final contract had insurance on. I should not have been charged insurance.

Marlon PReserved a trailer the day prior. Specifically told the associate I needed a trailer with a ramp. I pointed to the one I wanted. Came back the next day to pickup, after a 20 minute wait because there was only 1 associate present, I was ready to pick up my trailer. The associate than tried to give me a trailer without a ramp. I explained to the associate I specifically asked for one with a ramp. She stated the one with the ramp was not available, I told her I made a reservation for that one yesterday. She went inside and I assumed she was addressing the issue. I waited a short time than went back inside and she told me she could rent me the one with the ramp it would just cost more. I said fine, I don't care I just need the trailer with the ramp. About this time another associate walked in and she asked him to get me hitched up. We walked outside and once again the associate tried to hook up a different trailer, identical to the first without a ramp. I once again explained to him I needed the one with the ramp and I had reserved that one yesterday. At this point I lost my patience, I am not sure how hard it is to understand that I need a trailer with a ramp, I speak clear English. The associate went back inside, came back a short time later and once again told me it would cost more and that he had to check that trailer back in. Once that was done he hitched the trailer. Since I was there almost 45 minutes dealing with this cluster of not my own making, my 11 year old daughter had to use the bathroom. I walked back in to let her do so and as I was standing outside the bathroom, and there is your female associate glaring at me as if I had done something wrong. This is not the first bad experience I had with this location. Another time I went there to get a quote to get a trailer wiring harness installed with a 7 pin converter. I was given a quote for 800 and as I read the quote I saw where they were going to charge me wiring labor at 100 a pop 4 times. Give me an entire break, on my vehicle its plug and play, no wiring needed. Will never rent from that location again.

JIMMY HI rated it excellent, however, there was some return stress and that might've been from confusing paperwork. Contract had contradictory information included and highlighted. Manager had a difficult time figuring it out. Would recommend though!

I had movers scheduled, so now we are out double the money for movers because of how long it took for the person who showed at 9:45 to help us. Both employees who came took personal phone calls on their cell phones while assisting customers who had been waiting an hour for the store to open up. My first month of storage was supposed to be free per the promo and the employee charged me and then informed me there was nothing she could ro and I would have to come back next month if I got billed then. When we came back in after unloading to return the truck, an employee was sitting behind the desk on a stool sleeping. My husband got a picture of this. Unprofessional, untimely, rude.
