I booked a trailer through the app, which showed a total agreed price. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told there was an additional $20 charge for out-of-hours pickup. This extra fee wasn’t made clear during the booking process, and because I urgently needed the trailer, I had no choice but to pay it. The customer service at the location was good, and the staff were helpful, so this isn’t a criticism of them. However, U-Haul needs to be more transparent about all fees upfront. Customers shouldn’t be surprised with extra charges when they arrive to collect their rental.

Very easy drop-off.

Low tire pressure gauge remained on through the entire rental. When the problem was identified to the staff they said that a new tire had been put on but the tire pressure sensor was never re-installed. This needs to be addressed. It is unsettling to be driving a vehicle with a safety warning remaining on even if there is no problem.

Trailer was returned from previous user and was not swept out. Found metal pieces on floor and dirt and metal shavings throughout the inside of trailer. The floor of that trailer was overloaded at one point because over the 2 axles to the nose of the trailer had a dip which made it difficult loading due to low trailer height and uneven floor made it difficult to load items. We are elderly and have a difficult time walking normally.

i rented a 26ft truck for 12 hours days in advance and when i picked up the truck it was never confirmed or talked about that i had the truck for only 6 hours, and then even though with that confusion from there end they kept trying to tell me i was going to be charged an additional rental fee if i didnt get the truck back before 6 when i picked the truck up around 8:15 am i had to rush my job and then was told that i needed to be there before 7 pm before they closed for the day, i was honestly very dissatisfied with how this location handled everything and they're lack on informing me of any changes they made on my reservation I will most likely not rent from this location again in the future.

I was told by the store clerk that I had to fill up the tank, only to learn later that I had already paid for the gas used on my trip. I didn’t need to spend the extra $37.67 to fill up the tank. I felt misled by your store clerk.

Service was awful. Trailer had dirt in it. They also ruined my plug for the trailer because they couldn’t figure out why the lights didn’t work. They then proceeded to question me like I messed my brand new plug up

The location itself was very nice; the uhaul was filthy on the inside. We had to clean the inside prior to leaving the following day of food and spilled liquids. I was extremely happy that the second person i spoke with when changing my reservation back to a 20 day truck was extremely helpful and went out of her way to make me happy.

The truck’s gas gauge was wildly inaccurate. It said it had a quarter tank left, but when I stopped for gas there was 2.7 gallons left. If I didn’t stop when I did, my friend and I would have been stranded on the side of the road because it was 50 miles to the next gas station.

The truck should have a full tank of gas before being rented because it is almost impossible to fill it to the same point if it is less than full at the start. But I get that by not having a full tank to start, customers tend to overfill, so you guys save/make some money

the only thing I would do is to ask about the seal on the back door _for the trailer ramp. The seal was not well sealed and I drove through five states with heavy rain and when I arrived at my destination, the items in the back were soaked. So make sure to ask how well the back seals with the type of trailer they get.

This storage space in Victor, NY revived our faith in uhaul. Our previous space in Worcester MA was robbed repeatedly, they were difficult and rude. We had to have the manager at this location call to get them to close our last account after repeated messages. Not to mention the 19 phone calls, 3 locations, a customer service representative hanging up on us for 1 out of state truck rental. We were called 4 hours into the next state and they called to tell us our tow was unsafe. No response from anyone at uhaul management for the absolutely abhorrent costly experience we had with uhaul in MA. Thank goodness for Mackenzie and her team or we would never have anything good to say. Still disgusted by how we were treated after 5 plus truck rentals and almost 2 plus year of storage. We have spent thousands of dollars and you caused us pain suffering and a huge loss of family collectibles and art. Shame on you

It was a very pleasant experience and we will definitely be using this service and accommodations in the future. Being able to rent a truck and store items where we are returning the rental truck made the experience very efficient.

For temperature control storage I'm not sure why it has to be over a hundred dollars more for 5 less feet than other storage, but for people that want secure indoor metal siding storage I can justify a higher cost b7t not that much.

I didn’t have to deal with anyone in the office so I can’t attest to those questions, I will say that I was disappointed when I reserved a unit only to arrive and find out that it was 2 units instead of one. I knew it was a short term issue for our family, so we kept the split units but it was pretty inconvenient and I’m shocked that I did not receive a phone call about it.

I’m not happy that the unit type I asked for was not provided and instead 2 units were provided. This was not helpful and not communicated to me. I’m unsure how or why this really happened. I was told that it was because they didn’t have the unit chosen as an online check in choice, but that was not clearly stated and when I received a text to do it online, why would I think that would make a difference in what unit I was given? I’m super disappointed and not sure I will keep my stuff here after this month. Which makes more work for us now, and is very frustrating

Makenzie and her team were great…the only issue we had was that the storage unit was on the second floor…a long walk to the back of the facility! If there was access through the rear of the building that would not be nearly as bad. We went into it with our eyes open so it wasn’t their fault at all. Thanks!

After completing on line check in process and providing photos of drivers license multiple times I had to register at the desk and go through the exact same process with photos. Also, no explanation was previously provided about having to use two different keypads to enter the facility and then the facility keypad required me to enter the code 3 times before it worked. If you offer a 24/7 virtual check in process then the tools you need to use to do the checkin in need to work.

There are too few 5x5 spaces, so we had to get a 10x5, but in the end it was helpful because we stored a lot more there during our move than we expected. We had 6 weeks between when we needed to be out of our apartment and before our sellers would allow us to close on the house. It ws nice to have that space.

I rated my overall storage experience poor. Because on 2 different occasions I went to my storage unit and could not gain access Because a Uhaul lock was place on my unit unjustly. I was current with my payments but was prevented access of my personal property...

Terrible customer service. I moved from out of state and qualified for 1 month free storage. I requested a storage unit on the ground floor and paid for it over the phone. When I went there to pick up the keys it was on the second floor after waiting in line for over 20 mins I was given a ground floor unit. The counter person did not tell me it was a larger unit and that there would be a upgrade fee. When I received my bank statement there was a $154.00 charge and a $60.00 charge for the unit and upgrade. I immediately went down and ask why I’m charged this because I was told it was free. They said the person made a mistake and they would take it off and credit it back. That never happened after numerous attempts to get it taken off I was then told it was a bank problem and to call my bank, which I did but it was not my bank. It took many phone calls and trips to uhaul to get this resolved which was finally credited back. Would never recommend uhaul!

We used U-Haul Moving & Storage of Victor for storage. We stored our things there for almost eight months. The storage facility is nice and clean and climate controlled. We especially liked that we could drive our cars and rentals right in to unload, and again to load when we left. This is great in any weather and especially nice when it’s too hot or cold out. They even have a nice little section where you can take or leave items in good condition. We bought packing materials and ended up renting a 15-foot truck when we were ready to move our things. The people there are great, over the course of this year we have spoken to four employees there. Each person was kind, treated us with respect, and was very helpful. I highly recommend using U-Haul Moving & Storage of Victor.

Storage space offered was smaller than expected, a larger unit was not available though offered. I almost lost the contracted Moving Help and I had to go to another UHaul. It was a nightmare for me.
