I reserved a 15ft truck,they wanted to give me a 10 ft. When I said I needed a 15 ft,I was told you get what you get. We don't have a 15 ft. Then he found a 15 ft, and told me he would text me the contract, I never got it. The gas was 3/4 full, the paper said it was full. The drivers door would not lock, the wiper blades were shredding, and would not remove liquid well from the windshield. The I went to return it early. That was also a fiasco. Apparently the guy never transferred the original contract, the computer said I still had the 10 ft truck. Kelly 2, the customer service rep was very cordial and tried to be helpful, which I really did appreciate. She could not resolve the mess though. She said the computer wanted to charge me $150 mor that it should. She said she is putting the order on hold and the GM would have to help her straighten out the mess. Not the best experience I have ever had with a truck rental agency. We rent trucks about 8 times a year. Next time I am trying Pensky.Robert B.

The cost to rent a small truck for a few hours was outrageously high. I understand how many miles I drove, but between the rental cost and the $80 in gas i had to put into the truck, I spent over $400 for what amount to a less than 7 hour rental. I will not use Uhaul again at those rates. I could have hired someone to do what i needed to do for less.Jeffrey S.

Rental was for five days I returned two days early and was not refunded for the days I didn't useJonathan H.

My move was scheduled for out-of-state which was stressful in itself. Renting a U-Haul truck from this location just added to the stress. This will be my first and last experience of renting a U-Haul truck for an out-of-state move. It was a nightmare from the very beginning. A worker, Maverick, turned out to be inexperienced, incompetent and even seemed high, and upon check-in could not locate the keys for my rental truck. We were left waiting for an hour+, and my partner was even the one to find the keys because he kept looking all over while Maverick was distracted by the flood of customers coming in after me. This put my move off like 2+ hours. He should not have been unsupervised and manning the desk alone. Also, because my move turned out to be complicated, I had to return to this location to pick up an Auto Transport and also to process a refund for having to re-order a bigger truck (of which I had to pick up from Akron, OH an hour away because Warren did not have it available). At that point of transaction, I had to wait another 2 hours to attempt to get the refund issue resolved. It wasn't resolved and I was again behind 2+ hours on my move. On top of dealing with a snow storm outside. However, I will say thank God another worker (I believe his name is 'Z') was very competent/ helpful and there to take over the incompetence of Maverick who was there again a day later manning the desk. I was highly disappointed with renting from U-Haul and at this location. I should of known to go with another moving alternative when their own workers were telling me to go elsewhere for better deals. I will never again do business with U-Haul unless under an urgent local rental. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL!Anita O.

I tried calling multiple times and no one ever answers the phone. I tried to call and set up a payment or date I could come in and pay for my dead grandmothers things that I had in 2 storage units and they never answer the phone. This is the difference between a location run by U-Haul (drop-off location) and a location that doesn't really care about their U-Haul business (pick-up). I will NEVER use a U-Haul location that is not run by U-Haul directly again.Steve B.
I reserved a large storage unit when I reserved the truck, and the website said that it would be free for the first month. Then I added on a smaller unit. When my movers arrived at storage I was told they only had the reservation for the smaller unit and they had no more large units available. The only problem I had was the last month of me storing my stuff there, I was bothered a few different times by another costumer of yours there that had a unit with the number of 842 and he was also drinking down there while at his unit. When I complained to the staff he said I had to call the authorities instyos going and saying something to him for drinking at your establishment. When I was reserving the truck I requested a 20 foot truck. A couple days before I was called and told a 20 foot was not available. I was offered a 17 foot truck for the same price. When I got to the store I asked about the $50 reservation guarantee money, and was told that because they had a different truck I did not qualify for the $50. I am not sure I agree with it because this is straight from UHAUL website: "Should U-Haul, through its own fault fail to meet time, place and equipment size, a $50 "Reservation Guarantee" will be paid and U-Haul will still attempt to fill the reservation.Sarah H.

Don't try to charge twice. Don't say the fuel level was lower than what it was returned at and attempt to charge extra when 50 miles were paid for and only used 1/3 of that.Katelyn L.

Fix the card reader, not only was the unit I reserved not available (even though online reservations are supposed to be guaranteed) the card reader didn't work so even though I filed out the paper work before I arrived my reservation was for noon I didn't leave until 1 resulting in loosing an hour on my time slotNICHOLAS K.
I waited 30 minutes between arrival and check-in, and there was only one person working the counter most of that time. When I came back, there were six trucks in front of me, and no staff member directing people where to go to the point that the trucks behind me were waiting in the street. I would probably use this location again because it's the only one close to where I'll need a truck and the equipment was fine, but it was a frustrating experience.MARY M.

I selected to do the contactless method to obtain the truck but the online application would not allow it when I arrived so I had to go into the store to complete the transaction. Then when the employee went to the box to give me my key, she said all of the keys were in the wrong boxes so it wouldn't have worked anyway. The truck was in great condition (the driver side door stuck a little when trying to shut it but nothing to delay our use of the vehicle) and the return process was very fast and the gentleman was very friendly.Stefanie B.

I did everything by mobile device because I did not want to have to wait in a line. I was on a time crunch like most people that are moving. I stood in line for 10 mins, okay that's fine. The problem was when the lady was done helping the customer in front of me she told me I had to wait for someone else to come in because it was time for her to get off. Mind you all I needed was a key. I said well all I need is a key. She still grabbed her coffee and left. I had to go outside find the guy just for him to come inside and hand me a key. When unloading the trailer in the evening - discovered the trailer was infested with Roaches! There were dead and live roaches with babies. We noticed several behind the wood side rails as it appears that is where they are hiding. I informed the sales person at the drop off location and she made a note on my account. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I hope I do not end up with Roaches in my house. Once we noticed the roaches - we put the remainder of the furniture in the garage instead of the house.Dawn E O.

I was a bit disappointed that the largest unit available (12'x13'x5') was pretty inaccessible due to the stairs (which I was notified about) and the narrow hallway (about 3' wide by 6' tall - which I was NOT notified about). Though I would have been able to fit my furniture in the room itself, it was impossible to rotate the couch in the hallway since it was so narrow and awkward. The smaller units had larger hallways, but the largest ones up the stairs just wouldn't cut it. Unfortunately I didn't even get a chance to fill the unit up since the largest items didn't fit, so I feel like I overpaid. Also, some correspondence from the location mentioned 24-hour access, but the unit is explicitly only accessible from 5am to 10pm. At 10:01pm I was locked out and had to haul everything back home an hour away and extend my truck rental another day. Also, I'm pretty sure I witnessed like 3 crimes during my experience in the area. Warren is a dying post-industrial town, and this location is a bit of a rough spot. I wish I would have known. I can't blame U-HAUL for most of my misfortune while moving, but I think the narrow hallway on the second floor is a significant disappointment to say the least. It's not like I could have seen it ahead of time. I tried to call before I reserved it but I think they only ever have one person in the office and I could never get through. It was clean enough and maintained enough, but it really seems like there must be just one person keeping the place running. All things considered, this is the most convenient self-storage location for at least 30 miles, but I'm glad I know now that I need a smaller unit to fit my large items and that I should plan to arrive while the sun is still up if I want to feel safe.Alexander W. | Online Move In

Considering I have several heavy items, I didn't think to ask whether my unit was on the ground floor, which it was not. When I asked about switching to a ground unit, I was told it would be an additional $10 after I was automatically charged for a lock although I already had one!
