First of all the van I rented was given to me full of trash. After I told the guy that handed me the keys and he went outside and took the trash out, taking time away from my 4hr rental.
Second the miles that were on the truck didn’t match what the contract said. I told the guy again and took pictures of the dash when I took it and when dropping it off. I was told not to worry that everything would be fixed in the system. Well nothing was done and now I’m being overcharged double the amount that I was told. I’m still trying to the issue resolved, hopefully I get my money back.

Rental truck was old and in poor condition. The driver side - side mirror was not usable. It did not stay in place when driving. It kept tilting to the ground. The driver side sun visor did not have a clip to hold it up. It kept falling into the center of the windshield. It then fell off the bracket. The driver side window handle knob was not attached. The ignition wouldn’t start unless the key was jiggled and twisted several times. U- Haul roadside assistance was called for assistance. I have rented many trucks from this U-Haul location but I will need to think twice before I engage in their services again!

The trailer had asphalt debris, oily and stained a few things we placed inside. Luckily it’s garage stuff like tent, tarps. Coolers, But still, I like my stuff clean. Everything had black oily asphalt. The reason why I would recommend this place. Because they don’t inspect when you leave or return. I myself took photos before and after pick up and drop off. Also, 4 employees standing around looking at each other as to who is going to help a customer. Place (office) smelled like marijuana ( I don’t have issue with people smoking) , it’s just a time and place for everything.

They extended my time on my rentals not once but twice with a sympathic understanding everything! After having my pick up location changed to an inconvenient, out of my way location. I get there to find only one person working, who according to his name tag was the owner, I stood in line for 46 minutes while he helped others. There was no communication with anyone until you were “next”. He made no effort to move quickly or let those of us in line, “ I” ll be right with you”, “sorry, we’re short handed” etc. we all stood there annoyed at the poor customer service. I would definitely avoid this location in the future.

I used U-Haul storage facility for close to four years if not a little bit longer. I never had any problems at all if I ever had any questions the staff that was there was very kind and courteous and very professional. If I ever need storage in the near future I would definitely use U-Haul.

it is infested with mice, rats ,& squirls!! they will not tell you if your door falls off track, you things will be ruined & you will get sick trying to move out!

The storage units have rats and mice .. I do NOT recommend anyone to rent a storage there . This is the location in Waukegan IL on Lewis ...The storage unit was around $165 a mont with no AC and you are guaranteed to get rats and mice 🐀 in your furniture and stuff... super disgusting
Please save your money and rent somewhere else

My storage had to be infested with rat or mice.It was poop everywhere. They ate a whole in my Fur jacket, couch, clothes and mattress. Ive never been so disgusted in my life and I'm 47 years old.

When I called U-Haul on Saturday and set everything up I was quoted a price of 210 something for the truck a car hauling trailer and a storage bin when I got there on Sunday they charged me 150 more
