I rented a truck, was canceled twice. Had to change to the container because I was running out of time. Arrived two weeks late. Emptied it Dec.11 and returned it. But they charged my debit card for January and again for February. Still trying to get refund for February.

After getting the key, the agent was helping us get the van's back door unfrozen and open, when we asked why the key wasn't working in the ignition, and then he figured out we were working on the wrong truck (in single digit weather). We were not told to fill in the online "assessment" of the van prior to leaving the location, and once we started doing that, we noticed the dashboard of the van said that one of the wheels was low on air (this message also prevented us from seeing the mileage amount.) The agents in the building did not all have face masks on.

Have winshield clear of Ice and snow. The truck was pined in by other trucks. The back door was frozen shut. Had to go back in store to have someone fix the problems

The guy who checked us in took forever and was talking to everyone around him so we ended up getting our truck after the pick up time and didn't get it for the full 4 hours I paid for. The truck wouldn't start when we got in and took them another 20 min to get it going and told us it “should start” if we turned it off and then back on. So I ended up paying for 4 hours and only used it for a max of 2. Vey disappointing

They were almost perfect, although my comment doesn't reflect on this particular rental. I probably made 10-12 trips to this location to purchase boxes, and I also rented several trailers for round trips and a one way on the last trip for my move. I always paid with a debit card. Each time I was asked if I needed a receipt. I declined each time, and then when I wanted to return some boxes, I was told I needed a receipt. Nobody mentioned that until I wanted to return some. Kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

Terrible customer service, everyone said they didn't know what was going on, not familiar, things were acting"weird," truly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Sign on the door saying mandatory masks but employees were not wearing them, and a customer who came in with one was told he could take it off if he wanted. I would pay double at a competitor to not have to deal with the headaches of these employees and this location again.

The place was not secure. I had my unit broken into and when I called and spoke with the employees they basically said they could not do anything. Also when. I called to try and settle payment on unit and told them the stuff left in there I could not get out due to person in prision and someone was calling me back about doing it as abandoned unit never called back and I kept calling. I had been telling them this for a year and they have the worst customer service. I let them know back in January I didn't occupy the unit and the kept it open and charging me.

We have dealt with this location for the last several years. We rented an outdoor storage unit for several months when moving from Missouri to Davenport three years ago. We're about to move to Wisconsin, and I've rented a trailer three times I believe. Every time has been great. I've spent quite a bit on boxes and tape here too ! :)

We used this location in 2018 for a storage unit and to return trailers when moving to Davenport from Missouri. We're moving again, so I rented a trailer just this morning and brought it back to Davenport after lunch. Everything went as expected and I would sure recommend these guys !!

There were absolutely no or minimal covid precautions taken. I believe one of the staff members did wear a mask (?) but the staff member that served me did not wear a mask, there was no plexiglass partition, the seat at the desk was not six feet away from the staff member. I have lost sleep over the past two night worrying that I may have contacted Covid from doing business at this location and I am kicking myself for not insisting that the staff member wear a mask but I shouldn't have to enter a business and tell them how to take precautions. I wasn't expecting such lax precautions. Tomorrow is day three since my interaction and I anticipate that I will not sleep well tonight. In ordinary times, I would have given my service five stars but in Covid times I really resent being in a business that has disregarded or failed to plan for my safety. It's way too stressful and I am a frequent Uhaul customer.

I waited in line to get the truck for over thirty minutes then I was told they did not have the truck we reserved ahead of time. I used a smaller truck and because of that we had to use our own vehicles. I have always had great service in Bettendorf but this one I will not return to.

I really thank the staff. We were able to get help to love at the last minute - your staff was cheerful and helpful. I returned furniture pads unfolded and I felt bad but your staff did not blink an eye and helped me. I had to work all night that night and really needed to get a nap This nurse is grateful. Believe me.

Computers were moving slowly that day. No biggie. One thing that would have been helpful was to be informed about the speed limiter, I mean, I'm assuming there's one. I'm a speed limit freak. If it says 55, I drive 55. So imagine my excitement when I found myself in a 75 mph zone. Well, turns out I'm an EXPERT at driving a U-Haul 75. I hardly had to work at it. Kept it solidly on 75 without effort. Next day, when I was creeping up on some folks going 74.9 in a 75, I decided to give it a little gas to get past them a little more quickly. Turns out, that wasn't an option. 75 mph was it. And that's fine. One thing I did like about the limiter was that it functioned as a sort of cruise control. If you wanna go 75, all you have to do is put your foot on the pedal. Turns out I'm NOT an expert. Speaking of ... Why no cruise control?

I was recommended two boxes and was told no worries if you don't end up using 2nd box, you won't be charged. Not true! I was still charged for two boxes and it's been a nightmare to get it corrected. Still fighting it. If you can please resolve that would be expected. Cheryl gramp. #623-687-4435:

Other than it took some encouragement to get assistance with get my car on the car port everyone was helpful. This is the second Uhaul that seemed hesitant to assist me with getting my car attached to the truck. It's like we someone saying they can fix your car, but then being apprehensive and telling you to grab the tools to fix it yourself??? Two workers did eventually come out and guided me on how to get it attached.

They were very helpful. My only concern does Uhaul offer a car port to tow your car, but no one at the location knows how to offer assistance or is hesitant. The manager even tried to dissuade the workers from assisting me. She eventually said "If you guys want to do it, but I always tell customers I don't mess with that??? I guy tried, but said he was not aware of how to do it??? He sent two other guys out who I appreciated the help and tipped them for their guidance. Otherwise Denise and the staff were friendly and attententive.

This whole experience was not good. First, truck was not available when reserved 4 weeks ahead. Had to drive 35 miles to pick up the truck which had a check engine light on we had to take an extra 2 hrs to have looked at. Then we had to travel another 15 miles to another location to get a trailer when my name was flagged saying I had a past debt I need to take care of (an hour after leaving the Rock Island Location with the truck) which took another hour and a half to make it right discovering it was an error where someone else rented a truck in my name. Trailer had a bent frame where it looked like someone jack knifed the trailer. Understaffed and I felt sorry for the gentleman who helped us. He was obviously frustrated and overwhelmed yet was still courteous and professional helping us.

Associates need to maintain focus on the customer they are waiting on instead of having personal conversations amongst themselves. I say this because of several miscues with my contract. 1. Put me in system for same day return when I asked for 24 hours which they corrected after calling me the next day telling me I was late. 2. When I returned the trim they tried to charge me for returning truck not full when it was 1/4 tank at pick up which the pick up associate informed me of. 3. Tried chare me almost $150 over what it should have. All off caused my return check into to take an extra 20 minutes. They did finally get it right. I add that I always have a pleasant experience when I use you ave of the cities location in Moline IL. But this west side Davenport needs some retraining

the truck i got was not clean cigerettes ashes in cab .i don't smoke the engine light was on and smelled like antifreze and transmission was slipping and sounded as if going to blowup . brakes were bad slow stopping . it was just a good thing i was not going very far. i even brought back early only had 5 hours and was charged for the whole 24 that i was to keep it.

The U-Haul office in Davenport was very difficult to get ahold of. The u-boxes were delivered on time, but the pick-up came much later than expected. The u-box driver was excellent in service and making sure we were taken care of. I understand he is no longer with U-Haul. Lost a good one. Two of our 5 boxes were somehow attached to someone else's account. I had to call several times to get it fixed. I finally got a hold of the U-box driver and his persistence paid off. There was a lot of confusion about when the u-boxes could be delivered in Tulsa, but once I got ahold of the u-box driver, everything worked out smoothly. The U-box driver on this end was excellent with service, care and communication. The systems seemed to fail, but the u-box drivers saved the day.

Uhaul employee said racist remarks toward me, and refused to rent to a man that came into the store to rent a truck because she assumed he was with me because he was BLACK!!! Just sick!!!
