Only thing is I rented a storage unit that was shown to me in the rental office for the size of 5X7X10 that is not true. The unit is 5X7X 7 . The unit is not 10 ft high like my rental contract says and what was shown to me.Barry W. | First Impressions

The truck rims were covered in mud. Done would argue that causes mileage loss but I just think it should be clean. Also the vent/ac would only work intermittently. It would come on for about 10-15 seconds and then go off. It would have no consistency of when it would work. Finally they tried to charge me for gas. They said I was low. I clearly followed the rental desk instructions and brought it back at where he said to verbally. He even marked it with a highlighter on the rental agreement. When I turned it in they said no it's marked here in black. Need to get on the same page. Is it the black from the printer or the highlighter that the representative physically put on there?DANIEL W.

One tire needed air before we checked out with the truck, the young man took 30 minutes to put air into the tire. We asked what was taking so long and the young man stated he had to get a chair and sit down because his leg/s hurt himâ€¦ hummm The truck's cab was dirty and we had to clean it before we got into the truck and left with it. It is obvious the truck was not cleaned as when we cleaned inside the cab before we returned the truck, we found an empty coke bottle under the seat and someone's cell phone. We gave the cell phone to the man who checked the in truck's return. We hope it will be returned to the person who lost it.THOMAS L.

Very good experience renting a trailer here. The young lady who hooked up the trailer was very friendly, professional and fast. This was the second time I've rented a trailer from U-haul at Ave. J & 20th St in Lancaster CA and both times were very positive. I would recommend this U-haul location to my friends who are looking to rent a trailer or truck. I've also rented a truck from this location.SCOTT W.

Other than a few used masks under the driver's seat it was clean .. the reason I selected no on the equipment being well maintained is because the truck had a small hole on the corner of the roof which allowed rain water to leak in and the purpose of us renting the truck was to move furniture and boxes while it was raining .. the hole was definitely not something you could see from an inspectioneric N.

I am not happy and this was my last time using your rental services, I have bee a customer for 42 years and I have never seen such rude grand dios behavior at any of your locations, I am aware of operating hours, and got there 1 minute before 7AM and was rudely asked to wait outside cause they weren't open yet, then finally they open and low an behold an employee punches in about 5 minutes later, then to top it all off I keep getting calls about the equipment like it was the last unit on the plant, this is not acceptable and I left a card on file that can actually buy ten of these trailers.ALEJANDRO M.

Needed truck, the Rosamond outlet was open per Net when checked Friday and made on-line reservation, then Saturday it was no-show, and use of web site for ALL of U-haul was terrible. Younger son, who lives by on-line, was having too much trouble. We needed truck. I thought of this AVE J spot. But had too much trouble using web site to find them. So opted to just drove there. Worked around in person their reservations to find truck available. Had us out door in 10 minutes. Truck fuel was EMPTY, so first stop was gas. At very high gas prices, filled truck about 1/2 (16 gallons). Finished our run, maybe 45 miles, returned truck. Still had 1/2 tank, good economy, but $60 lost gas, next renter gets bargain. Drop off was smooth. So, desperately needed truck, they took care of us. We overspent gas, but it was an emergency. I would definitely recommend and visit again if needed. People just nice. Felt like this was a business, not a hobby.RODNEY B.

I was told by the representative that the UHaul truck I rented was not a one way and that I would have to return it to the same location. She said there were no available one-way trucks in the Antelope Valley. This was very inconvenient. I moved from Lancaster, Ca to Thousand Palms, 140 miles one way. I was charged $1.09 per mile, and had to drive the truck twice the distance than I had planned to because I wasn't allowed to drop the truck off at a UHaul place near Thousand Palms, plus spent $170 in gas and an extra 3 hours out of my day to drive the truck back to Lancaster from Palm Desert. Also, the truck was dirty on the outside, with med caked on the fenders and the fan didn't work properly for the AC. I rated it Yes because the inside was clean. I would recommend the location to a friend mainly because it's conveniently located. Overall, I was pretty disappointed.Julia C.

There was no lock had to go to the office. The customer service reps were very helpful I had trouble getting in with the passcode. Hours of operation should be extended 1-hour(8pm PST). The security system only allows the small door to open when the key gets swiped making it inconvenient to get big furniture through. The staff and the facilities were above exceptional for my use. My only negative feedback is that I would hope you could staff more associates to be checking people through the line. I had a medical emergency with my mother and for the first time in my life had to express to the other customers in line I needed to be served right away and get my 91 year old mother to her sr appt. several actually said I had no problem with you going next and I thanked all of them for allowing me to do so.
