Only one issue with the appliance dolly we were given to use for the move. It was broken and missing parts which made it difficult to almost impossible use. we made it work but that piece of equipment should not have been in service.
Train your reps to know the charges accuretly. I was told one price when the initial contract was signed, and charged a totally different price for charges I was SPECIFICALLY told I would not be charged.
The process for reserving a vehicle is seriously flawed. While the part of selecting the vehicle and timeslot it is available is wonderful on the site, it is useless if the vehicle isn't available when the customer arrives. The system fully relies on when a customer says they will return the vehicle. We all know things can happen and vehicles come in later than we expect. I do not feel that the system should rely on the time the customer says they will return the vehicle -- rather -- the vehicle should be scanned back in when it is return. The scan in is what prompts the system to show what is available at each location. This is a far more accurate way, and would go a long way to retaining your customers in the future. I reserved a truck with an 8 foot bed for move a washer/dryer and was stuck with a 26' massive truck to do the job because that was all that was available...and the truck wasn't returned when the customer said they'd return it. It was ridiculous to drive a massive truck for such a small job, but I was forced to do it because there was no other option. Also, with regards to the customer service -- the woman who initially worked with me just told it wasn't available and did nothing else but say it wasn't turned in yet. No apology, no explanation for how that could happen, no offer to check other nearby locations to see if there was another one I could go to.....nothing without me prompting and asking questions..awful service. I requested to speak with the Manager who then was kind enough to offer the same rate for the larger vehicle, and said he's been working there for years and that this happens all the time. It really is inexcusable for a company as large as this to have such a faulty system for managing inventory -- a small change like showing what is available in the system through scanning in when it arrives back will go a long way with pleasing your customers, and helping out your employees who are working the front lines and have to deal with frustrated customers like myself who expected the vehicle they reserved ahead of time. I do hope that someone reads this feedback and escalates it up the channels to the right folks. I have to imagine this issue is costing you money, and customer loyalty. I know that I am more inclined to rent from Home Depot or some place like that since there is no guarantee of what I reserve will actually be what I end up with.
More staff. I waited over 45 minutes to be assisted. Make the mobile checking process better. I went to grab the key from counter and nobody acknowledged me to help with finding the key. They gave away the assigned vehicle to someone else. Once I finally got to the counter the lady has to make me a whole new reservation. No only they raised the rental mileage fees but dropped the quality of service.
I would like to extend a big thank you to Michael Reyes for his conscientious professionalism in setting me up with the rental truck. I had a very long journey (Florida to Barrie, Ontario, Canada ) ahead of me and Michael made sure the truck was prepared for the long haul. Once again many thanks.
More office help. Waited for the only associate who was helping a difficult rental.

From temple hills to Tampa my reps delivery driver and coustomer service team were wonderful.
A week after I vacated my storage unit and was told by the employee working that my account was closed they still billed me for the next month and now my back account is in the negative
They didn't have that much gas a quarter of a tank and brought it back with more then a quarter of a tank and they want to charge us and say we didn't have gas in it and they said I went over my miles which I didn't. And thank god my husband took pics of the miles and gas before we left to use the truck and when we returned it. I had to come back a couple days later to get my refund and still waiting for it. So this location will take your money if you don't pay attention to it. So EVERYONE if you go to this location, please take pictures before and after. Because they will take your money with out you knowing.
While looking for our truck I needed to step Inside the office for help. Two employees where there to help but non had mask on. They really should have been more safe and had a mask for when people walked in. Also the truck had a very bad smell
Reservations manager Gary's gave wrong location to drop off then when cited under construction and called Gary's attitude was poor
Very good experience. Employees were pleasant, efficient and helpful. No problems with either picking up or dropping off. Left my car in their lot for the one day rental with no problem.
No one at the location. The drop off house had a Rottweiler on the front steps. No one answered when the dog barked & I wasn't about to go knock. I left the trailer & notified UHaul of the drop off.

This location will try to overcharge you. Their management and workers are so unprofessional. I moved out of a storage before the next due date and they knew it but still tried to charge me. They are pulling some type of illegal scam. U-Haul corporate need to investigate this location ASAP!!!"
When I returned my car - there were FIVE customers waited on before me, when I was there in line before them. Customer 1 was a "wrecker" so he got special attention. Customer 2 had a special friendship with the cashier. After this point, the cashier said I am waiting on the techs to check you in, so she waited on Customer 3, but said if they are not done when she finishes with this customer, she will go check it in herself. So after Customer 3, she went outside and came back saying, they are doing it now. She waited on Customer 4, then said, they are still not done, so I am going to do it. Back outside she goes and comes in saying they are REALLY doing it now, but it has to clear so I am going to wait on this man. I was there for 35 minutes for 5 male customers who came in line AFTER me and who pulled their vehicles into the property AFTER me, This was completely a sham....
Understaffed due to COVID I would assume, but the guys did a great job. Highly recommended.

Not one person inside the facility was wearing a mask. I was suppose to have contactless key pickup but they still had the key inside and was unsure if it was clean. When I started it up, it made a long clicking noise like it had a starter issue or the battery was going to die, so I had to go back inside and get another vehicle. The workers outside were wondering around the parking lot and only the main person on the computer was doing any work. I had to walk all around the the facility to find things while the employees who were suppose to be bringing me the keys and finding the vehicle just watched me do it myself. I did everything correct online so I could quickly pick up my vehicle without going inside and when I finally left the parking lot I ended up being there an hour to pickup my truck.
I was extremely amazed with Ashley's performance. As a manager and as a person she was very kind and informative. If i owned public storage id want every one of my customers to deal with her! Thanks ashley for giving a great public storage experience!
We arrived early to pick-up a truck and no one was there to receive customers. According to the times posted on the door, the business was to open 2 hours earlier. We left and came back 45 minutes later and they had just opened. It setback our move over an hour, completely unsatisfactory.
Facility wasn't fully stocked with dollies. Had to improvise with just 1 furniture dolly.

Crooks, overcharged us for two days the truck was only out from 8am - 546pm on 11/13. Double charged the $19.95 rate and the CDW. Call the store you can't get a hold of them because the forward to a national call center and they can't transfer you to the store. I have had other issues with this location before. Hell of a way to run you small business cheating your customers. If you have to use a u-haul don't use this location. These are franchises so other locations may have better business practices. Avoid 4406 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614. I will be going through our credit card company who will reverse the charges. Maybe then they will contact me for the amount that is really owed. Remember if a company didn't take your card with a chip reader you have ALL the power. Charges are automatically reversed in the consumers favor.

To clarify, the inside of the 15' truck was clean, the outside was dirty. I had to utilize 3 different U-haul places because although reserved a month in advance, the 15' truck was not available. You could improve by having the reserved equipment ready to go at the reservation time. My loader company “Homecoming Moving Co LLC†did not show up and did not call. You could improve service by removing loader/unloaders from your list if they are a “no show†for your U-haul customers.
The trailor had debris in it. The power leads on the system were questionable. There was an issue with a tail light not fuctioning. The employees were the reason the evaluation is as high as it is. They were great.
Employees were helpful and courteous. They did a good job. Have two people at the check in counter in the morning. I wish an Allen wrench was not required to adjust the mirrors. However, an employee went to get one I could borrow. It would have been nice to know that I could get free used boxes at the beginning when I reserved a truck instead of after I returned the it.

They were very nice, professional, and knowledgeable.
The vehicle they gave me should never have been in use. First the exterior was so dirty I had to stop a a station and clean the windshield, and head lamps before use. The front end steering was so worn and loose you could hardly keep in in your lane. Windshield wiper blades need changed. Mirrors couldnt be adjusted. A lot of things. If I hadn't been out of state just flown in , to load some items to return to Ohio, I would have dumped it and U-haul. In short I was screwed and they knew it. It's like give him the worst ruch we have and send it to Ohio. I feel I should receive some compensation, rebat or discount on a future rental.
Processes managed well. Online registration is a smart step to save time. Location is well organized, clean and neat. Equipment is in good to great condition. Staff are courteous and helpful.
The workers are very nice but this the second time I've used this location and reserved a dolly and it wasn't included. Last time when I showed up they were out, even though I reserved it online. This time I reserved it and they didn't even put it in the truck.

I shipped 2 U-boxes only 1 showed up other was left behind in Abington Mass. new manager rectified it. Tampa facility was awesome staff went over and above great place great employees
I ordered a dolly and didn't get it.
They were running low on blankets, so I could only get what I had reserved.
I had a one way rental that I dropped. It was a day early but I didnt need the truck anymore. I was told to just leave it with keys and I would get an email. 6 hrs later no email. I called the location 4 times no answer and pushed to customer service center. They called the location and was told they were to busy to help. The next morning still nothing came. Truck was due there b y 9 am that morning. At 11 am went to the location. There was a female working the counter waited and waited called while standing in line she did not answer the phone. When it was my turn she really didnt seem to care. I explained what happened. She looked for the key and found it and then tried to find the truck which she could not. A younger gentleman located it somewhere out back. I showed her a pic of the odometer from when I dropped it off. She checked it in and printed a copy. In a low voice she simply said sorry. I picked a Uhaul facility to avoid this problem and here I had to go chasing them to get the truck returned so as not to get charged extra days! I have just moved cross country trying to unpack boxes and get settled and the last thing I need is to deal with incompetence and lack of caring. I will be writing to JOE SHOEN, CEO of Uhaul and sharing my experience.
I waited for 15 minutes at the front desk before anyone came to help me. When the employee finally showed up she was very short and rude. She acted as if my presence was an annoyance and when she needed anything from me she spouted more of a demand than a request. Also even though I was late to get the truck because of the lack of a service member being there I still had to return the truck at the original return time. Terrible customer service
Everything was great until I asked to close my storage-I took my picture, sent in the close out procedure-it took almost a month and 2 phone calls and an email to get them to close it after I also received a late notice and a late fee (which I didn’t owe them a dime)...but after the final phone call..all was taken care of! Michael Reyes store manager and team members are extremely busy always, particularly this holiday weekend however unwavering in keeping up with the extra load and go the extra mile (literally) largest store in the area, to assist in every which way possible. Michael is knowledge of every product service location equipment etc

If I ever need another storage unit I will go back to uhaul at 4406 west Hillsborough ave. They are so helpful and the.manager Mike is awesome.
Overall experience was great, but the doors to get into the storage facility were broken most of the time, thus anyone was able to walk into the facility without a security card.
I paid my bill in full on the due date 6/22/20 and actually found a home and moved out 6/25/20 . I went to the office to see if I can get a prorated rent, some of my 121$ I spent back and was told I couldn’t! There’s nothing in my unit! Then was asked if I wanted to go ahead and checkout?! WHY, so you can KEEP my money and rent the unit out AGAIN and double your funds! Yeah, RIGHT! Looks like I’m keeping my lock on the unit the rest of the month for no reason at all! TERRIBLE customer service! I will NOT be using uhaul ANYMORE! And definitely not recommending to anyone else to get SCAMMED!
Mr. Reyes is a great manager very polite, helpful, and had great customer service skills. He also answered and explained all questions I had.

The storage buildings are not designed well at all! They have way too many rental trucks and trailers blocking the driveways, this facility is not large truck or trailer friendly. I brought in a 16' trailer to load and it was near impossible to maneuver especially with other vehicles in the same area! I would NEVER use or RECOMMEND this facility for any type of storage. Inside building 3, there is a strong order of urine!

I love that the unit was temperature controlled and very large! I liked the large hallways and elevator to make moving larger objects around easy. I would have enjoyed longer hours to access The unit

I’m unsatisfied with the storage every time I Go to drop something off it’s so over crowded. On Sunday’s it’s horrible the same drive entrances is used an exit there’s no other it’s dangerous.
It was my first time renting a storage and when I asked for help they just weren’t really interested in answering some of my questions, trying to make me feel dumb. Such poor service will never rent.

You should make it easier to alert customers to the needs for box accessories. The counter person did not supply them when pulled the boxes. I had to come back and ask what to put hanger on.

Helped my wife load things into her car. They were great.
The power kept ing out during move in with our cars loaded and we couldn't access unit. There was dirty underwear in my unit and when i moved out just a few weeks later my stuff smelled like smoke.

I just have a complaint. Nobody explained to me that if my storage space didn't have AC my mattress would get mold. If somebody would told me that I would sure get the one with AC. I THREW IT AWAY
Reserved online a climate controlled unit and when I arrived at the store, neither the size or climate control was available for me. Had to go somewhere else.

The 2nd floor was fine and climate controlled so no problems. However, the 1st floor smelled musty. They should not charge for access after 7pm. People need to access stuff after their work day.

Good facility but there needs to be a better plan in place to open the big bay doors in the back. When you press the intercom no one answers and you have to go all the way to the way to the front

The people here are GREAT !!!! After a 20 hour drive, they got me into my storage quickly, answered all my questions, and were very helpful. The facility is very secure. I highly recommend them !!!!
The storage facility doors were always open and you could walk right in the door. No way to email receipts on auto pay accounts and manager and I worked with corporate to inform of issue...
The lights should come on sooner. It's remote and you have to walk too far before the lights come on. Otherwise A+
