The customer service rep was surly. The truck was clean but very difficult to shift into gear. When I tried to ask for help outside, I received very little support and someone who just grunted. Overall, my experience was okay, but certainly not good.

Truck was new and in great shape! But it was returned low on fuel (less than 1/16). Cardboard and trash was left in the back from the previous rental customer. The truck should have been swept clean before it was rented out again.

I have never had a such unprofessional embarrassing moment with any such service provider either in my life experience, talkless with my years of experience with u hall . The manager was very hostile and treating verbally and also said he will charge me CAD650 because of my late return same. He went further that, I should not come near u- hall rentals again. However, I made series of calls over the embarrassing moment at the scene of return. All my call log / conversation can be pulled on 30/5/2026 at approximately 6.30am and upwards as a reference. Thank you

Everything was great. I forgot that it was the end of the month and people are moving. There were no trailers available in my hometown of St. Thomas, Ont. The second agent I went to in St. Thomas, (a local motel) was very helpful in finding a location in nearby London, Ont. with a trailer for rent. I reserved the trailer and picked it up the next morning.

They asked us if we don't mind take their trailor to Scarborough because in Scarborough they ran out of trailers and we said yes and they offered $100 compensation. We did not realize how very heavy trailor is and it certainly burned a lot of fuel. Technically $100 went almost to refill the gas. Secondly, they said that the trailor was ready to go but when we arrived, they told me to go to another U-Haul location. We were not happy because it wasted our time. We went to that location and took an hour for them to set the trailor. Now we know, next time we will reject any offers. Not reliable!

5 Stars I enjoy working with the U-Haul location at 745 York Street each week for several reasons. They are convenient, experienced, and professional. I truly appreciate the entire team and especially Mazen, Brooke, and Memphis for always taking great care of business. I also want to specifically mention Wissam. Most of the team works inside and does an excellent job handling the day-to-day operations, but Wissam is often outside handling truck returns. Truck returns are a major function at U-Haul, and Wissam clearly takes his role seriously. He ensures all aspects of the return process are handled properly and efficiently. Thank you, Wissam, for your attention to detail and for being personable and likable. 5 stars for the entire team!

I rented a truck from this location and something struck me during this visit. I use this U-Haul location often and have always had good service, but today I realized it's more than that. My team and I genuinely enjoy dealing with the people who run this location because we always feel like family when we do business there. It's one thing to have a well-run location, but it's another thing entirely to feel welcomed and appreciated every time you walk through the door. Thank you to Memphis, Brooke, Dave, and Roy. The rental location and truck were fine, infact I mentioned to my wife that this truck was the best riding truck we've had so far. That being said, I have never picked up a truck with more than a ¼ tank of fuel in it. When I complained about having to get fuel before I could do anything else I was basically told it "is what it is". The rental agent stated it was U-Hauls policy that the truck were to go out with the fuel they were returned with. I was also informed that if I returned the truck with less fuel than what I started with I would be charged $2.25/L for the missing fuel. Who pockets that money? If the trucks never get refilled where does that money go? If I return the truck with extra fuel (which is usually the case) why don't I get a credit for the extra fuel? It should be stated somewhere in the truck the volume of the fuel tanks so that we as renters can better calculate how much fuel needs to be added to return the truck to the proper amount. If you are going to charge an exorbitant amount for fuel then the truck should be full each time they are rented otherwise this sounds like a scam to me.

The rental process at the 745 York Street U-Haul location was straightforward and easy from start to finish. I needed some clarification during the process, and Brooke took care of it immediately, which I really appreciated. Very impressed! Communication was excellent and easy; directions were clear. Box drop was a little late which matters on a moving day but they updated to let us know that. Arrived on time and unloading was simple. You answer phones quickly. Online info helpful. All excellent! By contrast, we were ordering our Rogers services moved across town on the same day, which seems like a much easier service, and that took at least 10x as long, so… UHaul beats Rogers tenfold in customer service!!!

I will say that this is the second time we have rented from this location. People are excellent to deal with and it was extremely easy. Storage facility is clean and exactly as advertised. This particular truck TM1124S was definitely more well worn than the previous rental and luckily we had only a short distance to move and I would not want to use it for a longer haul.

You were quick to charge for the 48 mile we were over but no compensation for the extra half tank of fuel. We had put in because the truck only had quarter tank when we picked it up and not wanting to run out we filled the tank up

The truck had garbage & cigerettes in the back of the truck. We were told when we picked up the truck to take pictures of all the sides & the milage/gas gauge but there was no mention of opening the back to check it - when we got to our destination to load our goods we opened the back & were left with this surprise so we immediately called the location and were told that this was not the first time this has happened due to "homeless people" in the area opening the trucks and doing this as it's a bad area then were told that had we opened the back when we picked it up they'd have cleaned it but if U-haul is aware of this issue (which we were told you are) why is this 1) not part of the pickup checklist instructions 2) the yard/trucks in a secure yard with fences to prevent people from gaining access 3) move the location to a better area to minimize this issue or 4) the easiest solution put trailer seals or locking systems on the trucks. Extremely disappointing

I'm 60 years old and the staff in all areas are fantastic, it doesn't matter who it is they are the best at representing uhaul. Of very VERY special note is mammalian. WOW what an exceptional man. You couldn't ask for a better representative. In everyday he elevates the experience while being direct, always open to speak with and I am so thankful I was able to connect with him for my storage needs. He is exceptionally professional and having owned 6 business' in my career and Mazwan is a very rare breed. My only suggestion is that you should clone him and have him everywhere. He should be training locations and doing what he does for york st. He leads by example all day everyday and when he's not there his staff maintain the image he has built. Feel free to contact me at anytime for any reason, I can't say enough and it's all very true. He is a keeper and the entire company could benefit from his life skills and very professional demeanor. There were quite a few homeless people using the facility other then storing their belongings. I stepped on a broken paraphernalia drug pipe in the washroom; not the cleanest I've used in other facilities. This certain group were using the washroom as a place to clean themselves, though it is not a problem to me personally others would look on it as one. Though our particular unit was clean there were some that should have been tended to. Overall, the storage locker meet our needs but the conditions should be dealt with on a more frequent basis.

I have rented 3 trucks from this location just since July, along with two storage units. Unfortunately, my experience with the manager has left me very disappointed. When I went to empty my storage units (which had already increased by $15 each before the first month was even finished), we realized our car had been gone through and the keys were missing. I asked if the locks could be cut and offered to pay the fee, but the manager said he was too busy. I explained that I had a limited window of time, people helping, and a large amount of material for a business renovation on a strict timeline—but he still refused and told me to call a locksmith. After waiting over an hour, I ended up paying $235 out of pocket just to have the locks removed. Given the amount I’ve spent here in the last few months, I would have expected a little courtesy and support. To be clear, everyone else I dealt with was wonderful. The cleaning woman and the young man who helped maneuver the vehicles were excellent and made a real difference. But because of the manager’s refusal to help in such a simple situation, I will be taking my business to another storage facility going forward.

The outside property was disgusting - used needles, human feces, garbage. These conditions existing on multiple visits to my storage unit. On two separate visits, there were people using the washroom to do drugs. The washroom was unsafe for me or my family members to use. Better security and outdoor maintenance is required at this location.

When I booked my unit I had selected a smaller size but when I arrived I was told that the size wasn’t available. So I was given a larger sized unit. This was the reason why I didn’t select Excellent as the rating. I appreciated the fact that the storage facility was the same as my truck rental return location.

Price is too expensive, at least they have indoors and ac when it's hot. Even though first month is free the annoying part is you need to pay for one time truck or trailer it seems to be. But still pricey. I can see why many customers are late on their monthly payment.

But unfortunately there is no small storage to rent, the app shows availability, but when I arrive at the office, the worker told me that this small storage is usually not available, as it is the cheapest option and usually people take it for weekly rent. My complaint is about, what's the reason your app shows something that's not available?

I was given a storage unit that was already occupied. I had to leave all my stuff on a cart to go to the office to have this changed. After having this changed my key card would did not work, TWICE. Back to the office to have it fixed again. My unit has a stain the size of a soccer ball, of god knows what. It looks awful and dirty.

The young man who helped me set up my storage locker was fantastic. The facility and vehicles are clean and modern. My only complaint is that I was not told, before I showed up and was on a limited amount of time, that the option to not select the insurance was unavailable on the small vans. When I selected the option to waive the insurance the manager, Mazen Fayed, told me it was unavailable. It's a small amount, $19.57 but it should be noted on the website when booking.

New management is reasonable, accommodating and friendly. The storage facility floors could be cleaner, as carpets are not the best option. Bathroom off storage main area hallway always lacks hand soap. The near constant, random alarms going off are a nuisance and seem pointless. No one comes to address them, there is no security personnel. Overall ourteous service from the Uhaul staff, Thank you.

Everything was excellent apart from one interaction with the staff. I went to cancel my storage after a month and she made me feel like i was a cheapskate to cancel the trial offer just within a month. She clearly judged me and treated me poorly at the cancellation time. I had a very good interaction with her a month ago as she was the only one who set up my account. No one should be treated how I was treated and it was clearly shown in her behaviour as i had a nice interaction with her while setting up but not at the cancellation time.

So i am only a few days into renting this storage unit. so far i like the facility. looks clean. but the extras that are supposed to make me confident in keeping my stuff there have left a lot to be desired. went in to drop some stuff off tonight Jan 13 at 830ish and there were homeless all over. the place stunk. the alarm was going off like crazy and the intercom didn't seem to reach anyone. so when looking for assistance is a waste of time. the keycards mean nothing people banging at both doors only to see one of them manage to get in when I'm the only person in the building. kind of scary. the bathroom that i needed on the weekend was a mess and according to the map there's a closer set but the doors locked with no label.

I was very impressed by the representative (Christina? it was over 3 yrs ago so I'm not positive of the name) at Towerline Pl, she was so kind and very helpful, which is why I decided to go with U-haul. However that site was full and only offered outdoor options so I chose York St. Most the employees I have dealt with at York St were pleasant and helpful as well, though the staff seems to change fairly often.

Very particular about the hours allowed inside facility. Once you get in trouble for w.e reason they feel the can use against you, it turns into limited access resulting in denying access to your unit due to having a job and not being allowed past 7pm. Was forced many times to come at inconvenient times to grab/drop off things that forced a rushed, frustration experience each time. Definitely picked on certain classes of tenants at this location.

An excellent experience from start to finish!! Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Facility very clean and secure. We had rented a trailer, purchased supplies and rented a locker. Very easy and seamless process. Will definitely recommend, and come back.

There is a washroom issue and some insects around the facility. In my above review I would add well maintained, just not clean. This is not a reflection on the employees or the company. It seems some of the renters do not have respect for the facility, others people, (or even themselves).

The exterior of this location is COVERED with people behaving in criminal activity. There is open drug use constantly and petty criminals eyeing up all of your stuff. The staff here are excellent but the property is brutal. I think you need to hire more security guards. It was very intimidating being around this much crime.

I’ve used U-Haul for years for all my moving & storage needs. They will always be my go to during any move or storage.

First of all, I had trouble understanding the move in process, and the staff member did not clearly explain how to get into the storage area. I went back to the office three times before she helped me get in by walking me through the process. The washrooms were disgusting and smelly, and there was no toilet paper. In the few weeks I used the storage unit, the washrooms were never cleaned, repaired or restocked. We also had a problem locking the door one time. The office staff wanted us to move everything out to a different unit! Luckily I asked if there was someone who could just fix it. They called for maintenance and the latch was quickly fixed after that. Your staff should be better trained to handle these problems. While I was waiting at the counter for a resolution, a customer was having a dispute with another staff member, and it was being handled very unprofessionally. It was upsetting to me. Finally, when I wanted to empty my unit, there was another lock and a tag on it saying that I hadn’t paid. This was supposed to be a “free” unit for a month! I had to call someone to come and take the extra lock off. She said that they had lost my account information! I was pleased with the storage unit, and it helped me with my move, but I would hesitate to recommend this location to anyone.

We had lots of loads going towards the storage unit that they gave us. It was already taken. This happened three times in a row. They kept giving us storage units that were taken while we were trucking around loads of material throughout the facility. We finally found one. But it took about a half an hour.

The lady I dealt with was extremely helpful and went out of way to accommodate a ground floor unit. Booth locations in London that I’ve used have been excellent. York st and Clark rd. Locations. I’d be happy to recommend the two locations I’ve used to someone who needs your services. And I will be a repeat customer.

I would have liked the access hours to go to 11PM or midnight. Also, some sort of warning or announcement that the building is now closed and the outside doors will lock behind you. It is an amazing facility and the staff is very helpful and nice to my kids. I very much appreciate your services to during this transition period for me and my family!

In which the whole bases for Our contract, Your revenue, and Our need to protect with Advanced Security protocol, insurance policy covering $5000, a nightly Security(Who can’t get in the building?!), Locks are all under Company supply…. Yet my items have not been returned to me in the same manner I left them. Thousands of dollars and efforts have been displaced. It is disappointing on top of that is having to then pay $275~ for 1 month of storage and not get the same value from the business. Staying calm is the best way to get to the heart of a issue but there needs to be the engagement level from staff that are looking to represent the customer first, the logic and care behind the interactions, and then the name of which you work for.

Due to the ongoing harassment from the manager of the site after doing everything asked of me to clean out and downsize which she quoted me on and then gave me a hard time through many emails and was ignorant throughout the process. Still has not been resolved Another employee was handling everything and seen my unit was cleaned out and put into one unit to downsize and confirmed it in person and then I was harassed again from the manager.

I ordered 3 trucks and a storage unit over the course of of 3 months. Everyone was extremely helpful and helped with anything I needed. I love the fact that you have to swipe to disarm and swipe to open the door and you have your own lock for the unit itself. I needed a smaller unit and they were very accommodating about putting my new unit on the same floor so I could move things easily enough. I will highly recommend to others!

The new GM Melanie is A Star - 5 Stars 11/10! Brittany was also super friendly and helpful. All the staff are friendly, said hello, and always smiling. This is the BEST Uhaul I've ever used! Trucks and trailers are all top quality as well. Highly recommend!
