Tire straps need to be longer. I have large tires and was barely able to get the straps on. If I were not skilled with ratchet straps I would not have been able to use the dolly.

HECTOR FMoney was amazing! Everything went great until I returned the truck and told the guy that I wanted my receipt email to me. He told me I was all set. I left a lot never got a receipt called the 800 number found out that another truck was checked in under my name and that the bill was incorrect. The 800 Customer Service woman tried to reach the location. No one answered. She had to send an email to ask them to correct the Mistake. She said that the truck I had was not even checked in therefore they could’ve taken the truck done anything and checked it in later or said that the truck was damaged. Horrible horrible horrible

Richard HThis location has committed insurance fraud! They are claiming that I damaged the vehicle without inspecting it with me before I drove it, nor after I returned it! I will be reporting this to my bank and to Uhaul corporate! I will never rent from this location again.

The I ask for her name and she refused to give me her name she didn’t answer my questions and she was telling me do what ever you want. And stop interrupting me. I ask for the manager and she said she is not here. I ask when she is going to be available and she said I don’t know try tomorrow. Very disrespectful

GIOVANNI DThe vehicle I rented was quite old and made excessive noise, which led me to believe it was not functioning properly. Despite pressing the accelerator, the truck struggled to gain speed, making my journey frustrating and unsafe. I strongly recommend that this truck be reviewed and potentially removed from your rental fleet until it is repaired or replaced, as it does not meet the quality and reliability one would expect from your company. Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback. I hope to see improvements in the future.

DANIEL PGet the gas gauge reading correct. It was off by 1/4 of a tank, IN YOUR FAVOR! Cab was filthy and the cup holders are in need of cleaning. Windshield wipers were not effective during moderate rain.
FORTUNE MThe location and truck condition were great, HOWEVER, I was told by the associate that the truck I was given would have 4WD, which I was looking for since I would be driving in upstate NY snow. The truck was not 4WD and had all season tires on, causing the truck to get slightly sideways in many instances, forcing me to turn around and stay at a motel for the night since I could not safely make it back due to a semi truck stuck on a steep hill. Luckily, I did not spin out nor hit anything and I was able to transport my toolbox as intended. Please inform your associates to tell customers that you’re entire fleet is 2WD only.

ROBERT SThe windshield had white lettering on it on the driver’s side. It was a bit tricky to remove. The tire sensor was not functioning properly, either, but the tires held air pressure, so that ended up being okay. I had reserved a furniture dolly, but none of were available so I had to use the larger appliance dolly.
GIOCILLE TThe new process with verification phone calls is insulting. Will not use this location again. A flip comment from the rep of "times are changing!" Was equally crude.

Brandon D | Overall ExperienceI am giving them three stars just because I appreciate the efficiency of the U-Haul Renting system; however, my experience with customer service was less than satisfactory. Initially, when I rented a storage space at the North White Plains Storage Facility, the staff was friendly and helpful. About six months ago, I originally went to rent a moving truck after I engaged in a conversation with a very polite employee, which convinced me to not only use their moving service but also rent a storage space without exploring other options. I valued the personal connection with an enthusiastic employee over considering alternative storage facilities. However, my positive perception took a hit when, not even six months later, I received a call from a male employee claiming I hadn't made the payment for October, two days after the scheduled auto-charge. To my surprise, I was informed of a penalty for the payment delay. When I explained that I was on autopayment and unaware of any issues, the employee insisted that I had been removed from the autopayment plan. After insisting to tell me what card they have on the system he provided the last four digits of a card I never owned, despite being charged every month. During this frustrating conversation, another employee, Miss Martinez, made the situation worse by using inappropriate language and adopting an aggressive tone. When I mentioned my busy schedule and the difficulty of managing numerous subscriptions, she retorted angrily, stating, "this is your bill, you are responsible for paying your bills." After a 30-minute argument, during which I asserted that they needed me more than I needed them, their tone suddenly shifted from rude and arrogant to soft and caring, offering to enroll me in autopayment again. Post-call, I conducted some research and discovered a storage facility just one mile from my apartment, offering a cleaner environment with elevator access, all at half the price of the U-Haul location. My advice to U-Haul is to invest in good employees, as the quality of customer service greatly influences customer satisfaction.

The access hours could be better if open later, or if the privilege for 24-hour access was not an additional upcharge. I've had this room since the mid 2000s. It was necessary when I lived in Manhattan, useful when I lived in North White Plains, but it's become redundant since moving to a home in Putnam County. We will likely close our second room in my wife's name.

It said that I could get a month of storage free with my rental so I agreed. The rate I was quoted was around $160. When the day came and I showed up at the unit, they said they don't participate in those promotions and refused to honor the price on my email confirmation. They said they'd been sold out of unit but of course then happened to have a last minute opening they could give me...at almost double the price. I had a full truck after a very long drive and so I took it. Extremely poor experience overpaying for a unit Uhaul would not honor.

I still went with unit because it is a little more space for me to go through/organize my stuff & I don't have to climb (It's ground level).... :"t's complicated" at home. My only comment about the facility itself was I wish it had more climate control. There is another self-storage location about a 7 min walk from this U-Haul but I had a bad experience with them before they changed hands. Part of the bad experience may still have a unit there so I am not comfortable using them which Is why I'm using this U-Haul location.
