Hire competent employees who actually care about customers. We had to make three different trips to two different locations to finally get equipment. The employees in Wilmington had no qualms in turning us away repeatedly and telling us to just go elsewhere to find equipment. Their lack of concern, for our time and aggravation, was astounding!

The vehicle was fine, but the person to whom we returned it was not very helpful. He did not bother looking up from his phone nor did he remove his feet from his desk. When he finally checked the vehicle in 45 minutes later, we were charged for an extra day since the check in time was past the time it was due to be returned.

The equipment was fine. Customer service was horrible. Employee took my license for information, then typed the incorrect name into the contract (Lori vs. Laurie). He then proceeded to take a personal call while helping me, discussing the Kansas City Chiefs, the football schedule, their plans for this evening. While still on the phone he handed me the key to the van along with my contract (no words about expectations, policies, anything). Got into the van and the Oil Change Required light was displayed. Went back into the store and told the employee. He thought it was fine but called his manager (on speaker phone). As he was talking with the manager he was coming towards me, holding out the phone and i kept backing away. Eventually said "I'm backing away from you because you are not wearing a mask." Manager said the oil "had probably been changed and the would eventually go off." He and the employee discussed giving me a different van. Since I was already late (had told the employee when I first got there that I was on a tight schedule - and since I'd already been there for 1/2 hour I didn't have time to wait any longer) and I was only going 15 miles round trip, I let it go. While driving my companion was looking at the paperwork (which I was never asked to review or sign) and saw that if the vehicle was returned with less than 1/4 tank gas I would be charged $30. When I got in the van it already had less than 1/4 tank. When I got home I saw I had a text message from UHaul which said please complete this before you leave the parking lot. Since I wasn't told to look for a text message, I never noticed it until long after I had returned the van. Returning the van, I handed the employee the key and left (as I had seen another customer do while I was initially being helped). I am a store manager so I understand customers are not always pleasant. However, an employee carrying on a personal phone call while doing his job is rude. And not wearing a mask during a pandemic is irresponsible.

Being Saturday morning, it was a bit hectic when I was there and the associate that was helping me had to attend to other customers while he was working with me. However, the service overall was great as was the truck and trailer I rented. When we called earlier that week, the woman who helped us figure out what rig we needed for the job we had to do, was excellent.

I know with Covid staff is tough however, the rep who worked there Saturday didn't care there were multiple people waiting to be helped. Instead of greeting people and saying I'll be with you he has put his head down and decided was a good time to start taking to the existing customer about Footbal. 22 min conversation about that. I returned equipment after and had to knock on the door of the Uhaul truck he was sitting having a personal conversation. He carried his conversation in a very unprofessional way....swearing on the phone etc. I made an appointment to pick up the trailer at 1:30PM and was helped at 2:11PM. Not what I would consider good service.

I always book at the Wilmington, MA U-HAUL because I get great service there, especially from Adrian who is very pleasant, professional and patient. He has an answer to all of my questions, and doesn't mind explaining things.

UHaul should consider offering refund on the gas that is overfilled by the customer. I had bad experience. When I got the truck it was 3/4 and when returned I filled FULL without knowing where I have to stop. When asked the U-HAUL agent they stated we only changed when you shortfill the tank but when it's overfilled they can't do much. I ended up filling 7-8 gallons more than what was required. I felt very bad. Hence poor rating.

Overall using the truck was pretty straightforward, but I probably could have used a few pointers since it was my first time renting a truck. I got a little confused about the emergency brake until I saw there was a release lever for it.

All employees should wear masks inside and outside. The person at the desk did not nor did the guys outside who got within 6 feet. I have underlying conditions and was uncomfortable and unhappy at the lack of consideration for customers Thanks

Staff should all be wearing masks. Pens and everything else should be sanitized. In general, no attention seemed to be paid to Covid except for plexiglass between me and agent. This isn't acceptable. The return staff were personable but none of them nor the manager wore masks and were right next to me.

My only negative was, I reserved a furniture dolly a few weeks before pickup. When I arrived for the truck, no furniture dollies were available. What's the point in reserving material if you're not going to "tag" it for a reservation/customer and have it available.

I've already filled a complaint out if I could give zero stars instead of 1 I would but I digress! The uhaul had a leak the windshield wipers didn't work the tank wasn't full when I picked it up the person was rude as hell when I picked up. I was charged a different amount than told. Personal property was damaged due to poor upkeep of the vehicle. Was not safe to drive in rain! Could not see cause of bad wipers! Literally worst moving experience ever!!!

Paid for a dolly and it wasn't put in the truck. At drop off I took a bunch of pictures and dropped off my key. Went on line to check out and process would not let me download my pictures in. Now the key was in the drop slot so I couldn't take the pictures as I filled out the for. I had to take random pictures to get through it

I wanted to point out light controls were literally falling into the dashboard and the two guys seemed annoyed to even come and look. Maybe it was because neither of them were wearing masks or even had masks available. I returned the truck on Friday 8/28 and called Saturday morning because my card had been charged 5 times. The manager, Adrian I believe, was rude and not helpful.

I was given a truck that did not have a full tank of gas, the person who checked me out made a guess on the reading and then charged me a ridiculous amount for the gas used to go about 32 miles. I believe the truck gets more than 6 miles to the gallon.
