The U-Haul Truck Share 24/7Â® had a couple of glitches. The truck listed on the app was not present, but another truck was located in the same lot but then the lock would not open. A UHaul worker came over and opened it for me. Another person had the same truck on his app...the UHaul person took care of this other person. Also, the windshield of the truck was very dirty.Lawrence P.

So the first rental was 5/26. I did not ask for any equipment. A dolley was in the back when I opened the door at the location. I was charged 7 for something I didn't ask for. On 5/29 I was to get a 20 ft truck. I arrived at 1045. Pick up at 11. The truck was still in someone's hands. Waited until 1140. Truck arrived but problem with leaking. It couldn't be rented. I took a 15 foot truck. I was told becuase of the situation I would get a discount. The receipt did not reflect a discountRalph C.

I had originally booked a rental with a different location and due to another customer not returning a truck on time (which is not in your control i understand) I was told there was availability for the truck I needed at a different location so I had to drive to a new location and rent from there and what I did not know was I was going to have to return the truck at the same original time, and return it to the location i had picked it up at which was further than the original spot and as a result made me drive more miles and cost me more money.Paul W.

When I called U haul, I needed a truck for one day the person on the phone with me ask where would I like to pick it up, I told him and he said â€œit will be there at the location waiting for youâ€. Your reservation is set. He never ask me my name, now I'm over 700 miles from where I normally get a truck. I said to him you didn't ask me my name and these people here don't know me. He replied â€œyou are â€¦â€¦â€¦.. (my name) and I said yes, feeling kind of weird not remembering that my phone number is in the system, it made me feel kind of special, because wherever I go and I call needing a truck or trailer, I will always get First Class Service, now doing get me wrong, these are independent dealers and I have met them all. But the one that I dealt with this time was just off the chart place clean very professional and helpful, a great place to do business. I wish they all were like that, it's normally the individuals you have serving you. Jamie she fantastic great person.John J.
The pick up process was very quick and easy. The trailer I rented was in great shape, and I had no issues with it during the rental. At the pick up location, Jamie was very friendly and knowledgeable. She hooked up the trailer, made all the safety checks, and had me on my way very quickly. I reserved the 26 ft truck to be picked up in my home town of Malden, MA. Uhaul called two days before my move to tell me I needed to pick it up in a different city about 20 min away. I said ok. I'll pick it up at 7:00 when you open. I arrived at 6:55 and joined the pick up line. After 3-4 customers and 20 min I get to the counter where I am told my truck is not there. I could pick up a 26 ft truck 20 min further away. So I left. The. Problem is that I had arranged through Uhaul for movers to meet me at my house at 8:00. Now I would just get my truck at 8:00 & now have a 40 min drive back to my house. The movers had another commitment after my move and could not stay later. So they waited from 8:00 to 9:00 when I arrived. Then they helped me load the truck but could no longer had time to help me unload because we got started late. A simple text or call to let me know the truck was no longer available could have saved me $200 of waisted mover fees. I would like a refund for my truck or a discount. This left a ver bad taste in my mouth as I called friend after friend trying to find someone to help me unload the truck.Andrew H.

I found the gas situation extremely confusing. Why don't you require customers to fill the tank completely before they return the vehicle like rental cars do?! It's simple and easy to understand. Starting a trip without a full tank is stressful and then having to guess how much gas to put in to get it back to the amount you started with is very difficult. I thought I had done it right but apparently I did not and was charged an unexpected extra $20 in fuel. This ruined what was an otherwise positive rental experience.holly B.

By my rough guess I believe I have rented from U-Haul over the past 40 years several hundred times. This time, I rented from the Wilmington Massachusetts location where I have done rentals for more than 20 years. The last several times I had occasion to rent from there the rentals where are problematic and one time I showed up when I desperately needed a 26-foot truck, which I reserved and confirmed in advance, and the person behind the counter shrugged and said he had no idea where the truck wasâ€¦(what???) which caused huge problems for me and I had to call another U-Haul location and find my truck. When I went this most recent time, my experience was nothing short of spectacular! There are new people there and what a difference a staff makes!! I was greeted by Peggy and Jamie, both who are 100% on top of their game and completely invested in the customer experience. They both gave me their business card with their cell phone number and told me to call or text if I had any questions updates are issues. This was a first for me and I was pleasantly surprised when I texted and got a text right back! :-) The rental was 100% smooth, and they were helpful and nurturing every step of the process, including (Jamie) helping me mount the trailer to my hitch and doing a circle check of the vehicle and trailer â€“ WOW! I will never go anywhere else for my truck and trailer rentals. I would give them 10 Stars if I could :-) â€“ CurtisCurtis K.

There was a ton of "play" in the steering wheel of the truck. Drop off was a nightmare! It was after hours & the key lock box was left wide open. Customer Service couldn't tell me where to leave the keys & the GM phone number on the box was the wrong number. The website to return wouldn't accept the picture of the odometer & fuel. The man I dealt with at pick up, Matthew, he was really nice & helpful though so there's that!Kathleen W.

Well I rented a 20 ft truck and specifically said it would come back until the next night. At 7am the next morning i get a very rude phone call from a women saying â€œ excuse me where is the uhaul where is my truck your not here I need it nowâ€. After pulling up my reservation i had it scheduled for return at 6pm that night. She explained she had reservations and the young girl who gave me the uhaul( who was so nice!) made a mistake and should have never scheduled it for that time. The women on the phone was very combative for no reason i was doing the best i could to help out. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I couldn't return the truck for an additional 2 days due to laborers being unavailable to unload it. I am 6 months pregnant there was literally nothing I could do. It contained 11 mattresses and boxsprings. I called and spoke to them telling them to just charge my card for the additional time. Money was not an issue. I returned the truck later in the evening left the key in the box and even returned it with more gas than It had when I got it. Overall I was happy with the truck it did the job. However shit happens and schedules change. I didn't need to be spoken rudely I was a paying customer either way. I normally never have an issue with this location. Maybe she was just having a bad day. Who knows. Hopefully next time is smootherALEXIS A.

The interface with computer is not good. My confirmation was actually for a different site, Billerica. Fortunately, I called first and was told my vehicle was at the Wilmington site instead. And the computer is very slow.Kati O.
