I have no issues with the drop off nor pick up location personally. Truck was in great shape and was pleased it had cruise control, the lack of cc in the past 40 years of using your service was disappointing. With the above said you have great location coverage, surprisingly good equipment, cooperative and pleasant personnel. A big issue is the performance of you internal reservation IT is surprisingly terrible. 2 weeks ago it took me 1.5 hour to check in using the uhaul terminals, I had had problems with the app on a previous check in. The app kept crashing in the reservation process and I ended up without the 5 dollar key lock out coverage. This ended up costing me 250 for locksmith. Last time I usied your personnel to check in and took 1.5 hours. I used the app this time to make reservaton and check in and today I was trying to use app to review contract to see what time to bring truck back and app had no history. This is bad because the reservation and check in was accomplished via app. I ended up calling customer service to get the time.

Just make sure you reserve vehicles for the right days the user requested. I requested two successive Saturdays, and two successive Fridays were reserved instead. Thank heaven that Heather called to confirm, and straightened it out when I told her that it was supposed to be Saturdays, not Fridays. It could have been disastrous.

The employees did not secure the trailer on the hitch ball and ultimately damaged my truck. Two employees attached a trailer to the towing vehicle. Once complete, both employees instructed me to pull the vehicle for tow onto the trailer. As I pulled up the trailer ramp, the trailer came up and off of the hitch ball, lurching forward damaging the back of my truck. The license plate and tailgate to my truck are both smashed. The employees instructed me to submit a claim through Uhaul's customer service department after the incident. I submitted, but have not rec'd a follow-up call from Uhaul customer service or from management at the uhaul location. I've contacted uhaul more than 3 times to resolve. Highly frustrating and time consuming from a customer's standpoint. Beware.

Truck was not ready at the time requested, location did not have the accessories I put on the reservation, I had to go to a separate location to pick up the accessories (pads) resulting in loss of time and added miles put on the truck and to top this off charged me double for the daily rate than the time I actually had the truck

First of all, the transaction was quick and easy. I rented the truck and bought supplies in less than 15 minutes. Customer Service was the best!!! This location gets 5 five stars from me. If you are looking for truck/van rental, I highly recommend using U-haul at the Marshall Street location in Winston-Salem.

Pick up truck was very dirty. Inside was muddy and trash in floor. Outside was dirty and damaged. Windows were nasty. After looking inside the truck, I decided that I was afraid to sit inside it. I was shocked. No cleaning of any kind, much less disinfecting for COVID 19. I had some disinfecting wipes which I used on the steering wheel and the door handle. Customer service was horrible. The whole experience made me question whether I will ever use U-haul again.

The location is old and access is difficult off a main downtown road. Maneuvering a large truck is difficult. Not enough room for multiple trucks. The personnel was very helpful, especially during a holiday weekend.

Fuel Gauge was incorrect showed 1/4 and it was 1/8 Mileage was 16 miles difference they made a note of this but charged me the wrong mileage I put 6 gallons of fuel in the truck drove 44 miles and your telling me the fuel gauge is accurate I rent from u haul often I know the system I would not return the truck with out fuel Don Grainger 602-321-0277

The pick up process was maddening. It took an hour to get the vehicle after completing the online check in to avoid going inside. Yet, about 12 people all crowded inside to wait without any explanation or assistance. Employees seemed uninterested in the situation or even being there to work! Never seen anything like it. Very different from the manager who is normally there. Drop off was a breeze with Scott Lambeth.

Used mobile check in to avoid being inside but the dolly was not in the truck so had to wait in a very long line to find out there were no dollies. Why would you let me rent one on line when there are not any. Extremely bad check out experience. We had to go to another location to rent a dolly. Should have gone to that location in the first place. This location needs some help.

The U-Haul self check in took a very long time, much longer than expected. The rented equipment was not provided and the truck was blocked in over 15 minutes before I had to notify an employee to move the truck blocking all of the other ones.

I rented a pickup truck. It had a lot of damage on the drivers side. The truck was dirty inside and out. Also smelled like cigarettes. Picking up the truck was quick and efficient. Dropping it off was slow.

The U-Haul facility on Marshall Street in downtown Winston-Salem is deplorable it is very unsatisfactory.. there is a leak in the roof which made the hallway to my unit flooded on the floor.

While the facility appeared safe & secure, it was NOT. My son's unit was broken into and TV stolen and items vandalized. All this with no signs of break-in. Totally inside job.

We chose an upstairs unit which got very hot and sometimes difficult for our college student to move boxes back and forth. Choose a downstairs unit if available. Had some rat droppings in the unit.
