Upon entering the under construction establishment, the man at counter told me he had no trucks and id have to go to Williston. He then offered me the truck I wanted anyway. I took pics all around outside and inside the odometer. When I got home we opened back to start loading and there was dirt and dust in back. Not a lot, but definitely noticable. We traveled 30 miles total and put 2 gallons back in tank. Upon entering the U haul store a guy ran out waving his arms and told me to back out into the road and come in the other entry. The whole parking lot was full of spray painted cardboard signs saying this way and that way. Very confusing. We were rushed out of the truck and a guy jumped in it. Im not even sure I got all my stuff from cab. I went inside with no walk around and the guy told me I would get the bill. I get the bill in email and its $250 for a $39 truck...$115 cleaning bill? 6 Gal of gas $35? Im done with U haul!

Benjamin TTruck was not ready for us, and we were charged $45 for gas when we already had filled the tank back to half, like it originally was. Plus, we were charged for 12 miles when I told the associate and confirmed on the odometer that we only traveled 8. I really would like a refund and to speak to a representative.
Emmaleigh SIvan would not come out to check on the vehicle. He later charged me $25 for 5 blankets that were not folded which I could have easily folded if he’d come out and let me know they had to be folded. Once the $25 charge came through I called and asked him to take responsibility for not coming out and checking the truck and letting me know to fold the few blankets unfolded. He was rude on the phone. I’ve rented from U-Haul multiple times over the years and never had any issues or an unpleasant experience with an employee as I did yesterday. Feel free to contact me.

Kip KChristopher was so unbelievably helpful and made the experience that much easier. The building was under construction but there were plenty of signs showing us how to get into the office. Great experience overall!
Heather BIt would be nice if U-Haul could relocate to a piece of property with more space, as long as it's not too far away. This facility is quite cramped for the amount of business they do.

John DPlease do not change reservation pick ups to a place that closes before customers are scheduled to pick up the uhaul. Please confirm with the customer if that is doable for them and not just change the reservation. My reservation was changed WITHOUT my approval and I was lied to. They changed my reservation for pick up in Colchester without consulting with me. I went to pick up my truck at 5 pm (an hour before I had to) and the location was closed, no instructions for me to pick up the truck contactless as I chose for an in person pick up. When I finally had someone switch it back to Burlington, the guy in Burlington said they had plenty of trucks all this time. SUPER unprofessional on both employees over the phone and in person. The only notification I got about my reservation change was that They had left a voicemail saying that there were no 10” box trucks at Burlington VT. This was the worst pick up experience I have ever had and I will not be renting uhaul again for this reason.

Matthew BThe entire facility was boarded up and being run out of a trailer. There was only one person there, running the checkout process, and the person that was supposed to be doing the hookups was nowhere to be found. Also, the single overwhelmed employee failed to tighten the trailer hitch connection to the hitch ball and the trailer became detached while driving to the next location. Luckily, no damage was done to my vehicle, and the trailer was empty.
Robert MI would really only recommend to anyone who didn't have a closer location. First it's tricky to pick up a truck with no place to leave your own vehicle. I understand the limitations of space and knew it going in so that is what it is. But staff-wise I would suggest other locations if possible. The young lady who greeted me on the first day was great, friendly, helped me get what I need. The guy with whom I dropped off the vehicle the next day seemed to really not like his job and he wanted to make sure folks knew it was because they are bothersome to him. He made it so that I wasn't looking forward to going back the next time I needed a truck which was only a week away.

mary pI returned the truck at around 10:15pm, followed all instructions, no drop box for the key, only signs. Called the 24/7 help line after looking around the whole building and was left on hold for 36.5 minutes before I hung up and left at around 11:15am. At least the van was clean and functional. The employees were also friendly when I picked up the van and are in no way responsible for my experience.

erica cThe location was not open when I got there in the morning. There was many other customers confused and waiting for someone to open up the location. Unbeknownst to me, the ONE lockbox set aside for customer pick-up was my key. I had to fumble through the process with the "Truck Share" people to unlock the box and get the key. It was a terrible experience.

LAKPA LStrap on one of the tire webbings was short due to damage and had not been replaced. Front jack stand was extremely difficult to raise and need repair or lubrication. Service was fast, friendly and helpful, but the equipment needed better maintenance.
Theodore DThe first guy that handled giving me the keys was so great 10/10 but the breaks were really unsafe and I just felt extremely unsafe driving overall-especially being in Vermont with unpredictable weather conditions!!!!! You’d think they’d have decent tires on when we have hard winter half the year. I at the very least decent breaks. I don’t recommend to anyone for this purpose solely. The customer service skills from the first guy 10/10, he was fantastic. when I gave the keys back to a different guy -10000000 for drop off. Had a poor attitude and slammed the door to the truck in frustration that I wasn’t able to park perfect DUE TO THE TRUCK TIRES HAVING ZERO TRACTION ON FRESH POW. Was basically spinning out in the parking lot.

Richard CHonestly, barely an “average” service. When I was getting my trek, the guy was a bit careless in attitude. I asked where to park and he basically said “we are a rental service, not a parking service”. When I dropped off, i had to go looking for someone who then just said leave it and we will email your receipt. Nobody told me that the check in process required I upload pics in advance of driving off. I took pics, but when I discovered I was supposed to upload them the “link” had already expired. This is after seeing the message that failure to respond basically gave up my ability to show evidence of existing damage. I won’t be paying for anything, I have plenty of before and after, despite what your text link suggests. I didn’t do damage, but if you claim the damage was my fault, I have evidence to teh contrary. In any case, your fleet needs attention. I check yes to clean, but only because it was berable. It was clear though that the 150K miles were all rough abuse miles.

MARY Sthe cab smelled like weed. No windshield wiper fluid which in snowy vermont weather is awful because I had to stop over and over at gas stations to clean the window. The steering wheel column is crooked so having the wheel turned left actually makes it drive straight. The light inside the trailer didnt work so we couldnt unload much at night. And lastly, I needed roadside assistance to tow me out of our driveway which delayed our move because the tires were so bald, I got stuck in like an inch of snow. Ive literally never seen tires that bald before. How this uhaul would ever pass inspection is beyond me and I definitely did not feel safe driving it.
