Vehicles should be full when you pick them up. Mine was "one tick over half of a tank" as communicated by the clerk at check out. I drove 29 miles and used 2.5 gallons of gas. I added gas to that same level but was still charged for 2 gallons more of gas (at $5.75/GL). Small potatoes on the individual basis, but a hell of a revenue stream at scale. So, just send them out full and ask that they come back full.Dagan W.
The truck was horrible. Driver side door didn't close all the way, very dangerous. We got a 10 foot truck to go pick up a treadmill. A quick job that we allotted 2 hrs for but took us 1hr. Would have been done in 30 minutes if we didn't have so much trouble getting the truck started every time we turned it off. The steering wheel locked and it would take all of us giving it a try each time to wiggle the wheel just so. It shouldn't be that hard. In the end we didn't use much gas but chose not to add a couple bucks in because we were afraid to turn off the truck. The staff at this site were very pleasant at pick up and at return. Their positive and polite attitudes kept us from being upset about the situation. We really expected a discount or refund but both guys were young and maybe didn't have authority. The staff are what allows me to give a good rating but the staff should not send out a truck like that either.Vicki G.

Inside and outside of the vehicle was filthy. It's fine I'm that we are in winter and it's tough to keep clean, especially the exterior. However, presenting the vehicle as pristine in the mobile check isn't accurate. No furniture dolly in it. Had to get a refund.Jeff M.

I was told the fuel tank was full when I picked it up. When I refueled the truck I realized it was really only 3/4 full when I picked it up as the fuel indicator needle went way past where it was when I picked it up. Free 1/4 tank for uhaul at my expense. No big deal just a little frustrating. Customer service was great though and I'll definitely return for my next move.RICHARD B.

You need to put snow tires or at least all season tires on the vehicles you rent in snowy states. I was stuck for over half an hour trying to get up a hill that should have been easy to get up. The truck was fully loaded with tables, chairs and other heavy objects. When I called to get help from Uhaul I was told they could not send help because I couldn't give a street address. I was stuck in the middle of a hill on a road with no homes around it. It's just ridiculous that they couldn't help! I was told I would get a call back shortly with info on help. Meanwhile I was STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!!! No real help or concern was shown for my safety or the safety of others on the road. Being a lifelong New Englander I was eventually able to get myself unstuck. I got a call back 45 mins later from Uhaul regarding help. This is by far the most dangerous and unhelpful experience of my life. PUT BETTER TIRES ON THE VEHICLES!!!!!Johanna B.

The guy working was super nice and helpful in getting me into my 10' truck. The truck had some issues but drove okay. I looked at my I'm lice later and it said $1.09 per mile, and the website said .89. When I returned the truck the guy said he would send an email receipt, but I never got it, so I have no idea what I was charged. I went well below the mileage I had estimated. The location is tough, with very little parking, but it's our only option, so I'll still go there again.ABIGAIL K.

It is a problem for my wife and I that the trucks and cargo vans we rent have been smoked in. Worse, the air freshener sprays used to try to mask or cover the smoke. I think it fair and important you have a strict policy about smoking in your equipment. A heavy fee should be imposed as a deterrent against smoking. Once smoked in, though, cleaning doesn't help much. This van was pretty new, comfortable, nice to drive, a back-up camera, but was seriously impaired by a selfish smoker who didn't care about others. You might try spraying with a high quality solution for commercial purposes we've used: RMR PRO-Xtreme Odor Eliminator. You spray it using a bleach sprayer, it dries within minutes leaving no scent of its own nor the offending odor. The odor molecules are trapped irreversibly and eliminated. No masking, no cover. Just gone. $50/gallon, but the sprayer will cover a large area. Your fee for smoking will cover many gallons and vehicles. Great product!Jeffrey K.

Wipers were not safe to be using, smeared instead of wiping, washer nozzles only touched the very bottom of the windshield. Steering in the truck was extremely loose and made it very difficult to keep straight especially when hitting bumps. I have informed the drop off location of said problems, whether or not they will do anything about itâ€¦.chances are slim. They didn't seem to care.TYLER K.

I was charged $20 extra after calling and having trouble returning the equipment after hours. If your webs doesn't work and I don't have a smart phone ect..but do have a tablet that should not be my problem when returning the vehicle. It didn't appear that the truck was sanitized in between customers. There was only one employee when we picked up our equipment and although we got there first two more customers were waiting and we were asked to wait for our vehicle once the two customers were waited on. I believe it's only fair that you remove the extra $20 charge for after hour drop off when I did everything I could to return the equipment. I even called and waited an hour on the phone to speak with someone to tell them I could not access the internet. I sent her pictures of the mileage and the fuel gage.Ginette G.
