You didn't ask about the personnel on the pickup side, but I must comment. The woman who checked me in for my rental in the Chelsea location was one of the most out-of-nowhere rude and aggressive people I have ever encountered. I know customer service is a tough and thankless job, but I am a kind, friendly and easy-going person and was met straight away with such hostility, it honestly left me feeling so badly for her, as she clearly hates herself and her job to be so unkind to someone who has only stepped up and said â€˜hello I am here to pickup my reservation'. Multiple times that I ordered a pickup truck on this location but it is never available. I reserved one yesterday and called to confirm. It was confirmed by the person on the phone and he sent me a confirmation in email. Upon arrival at the pick up spot I was told they don't have pickup truck and only vans. I don't understand why pickup trucks are an option at this location nor do I understand why it was confirmed by one of your team members but the members at the location don't care about it what so ever. When I explained my conversation and showed my confirmation email I was told to go either to the bronx or brooklyn if I wanted a pickup. Nobody apologized or checked in with me to see what they could do to make up for this. I chose a pickup as I can park this in the garage, not the van. There is no parking in my neighborhood. This was another disappointing experience with Uhaul. and probably my last one as I rather pay a bit more but receive what I reserve.KLAAS C.
AWFUL. I called several times before I arrived at the location to ensure that I can drop it off after hours and I was told by multiple customer service agents that it is allowed. HOWEVER, after arriving a couple minutes after closing, 3 of the employees of this location kept yelling at us to â€œget the fuck out of here because we're closedâ€ and then continued to threaten me with towing fees. 1-Counter person was on a personal phone call during the whole time she supposed to help me it made it very difficult to communicate also she was using foul language 2-the van was very dirty inside 3-the control to adjust the side mirrors was broken ( no knob) and made it hard to adjust them manually 4-I got unexplained extra charges when I received my final receipt I will like an explanation to the extra chargesERIKEDUARDO G.

Great experience all around. Only complaint is being hit for addtional miles from DC to NYC. Once you pick up truck you need to get to home to load truck and then drive to NYC. 274 miles is not enough to cover trip when pick-up location is not near home. I thought I lost my wallet in my van and two of the front desk workers went way out of their way to help me try to find it. They were incredibly kind and resourceful. Everyone at the location was helpful, and the entire process went very smoothly.BRETTALLEN D.

Our drop-off location was changed from our original reservation without our input or agreement, which forced us to make multiple calls to customer service to resolve the situation. This required multiple phone calls and being on hold for hours. This was a huge inconvenience.Lee R.

The store staff and process was super smooth and excellent. The only complaint which is not store related is that when I called to inquire about keeping the rental longer or how late I could keep it, the operating system said the call wait time was 15-20 minutes. I waited about 23 minutes and hung up and went online and it said I could not extend my rental time. I wanted to speak to somebody only to see what my options were and penalty payments if I kept it longer but instead I had to rush to return it. Overall though the online system to reserve is excellent, the staff was excellent, it was super smooth and seamless, a very positive experience.David E.

The truck I originally reserved and was guaranteed wasn't available so i was called early in the week and changed to in town only, therefore I had to bring the truck back to nyc before 8am the following day instead of doing the return to north Bergen as originally scheduled. Better than completely cancelling but more complicated and added to stress of the returnColleen T.
I asked the rep to change me card on file because I had no money on that card. She did not and told me I wouldn't be charged until I dropped off. That was a lie my account got overdrawn and was in the negative because she was too lazy! Drop off was even worse! I'm not even going to get into that! I won't be using Uhaul again.
