It was a bit frustrating with the entire renting process. A mobile app required you to take several photos of the inside and outside of the van. I did not have to do this at other locations. The lady at the front desk told me I could just park the van when done and drop the key off, but she did not say anything about having to pay a service fee for just dropping it off. There was a sign that stated I had to retake all the photos on that app again to avoid an extra service charge. I was also in a hurry to get to another location. This renting experience was overall very exhausting. The van was clean, except there was a little stain on the seat and a smudge on the inner windshield.
JANE KTruck was dirty, inside and out. Truck was given to me with one tire at 30PSI (should be 90PSI). Their response was to just air up the tire that clearly had a leak! Front tires were at 95 and 75 PSI. It should not be up to the customer to ensure that the tires are at the correct tire pressure.. This is a safety issue that should be addressed.

Cathetine II will said the service will be better if you have a system where you can check how manny tollway I passed in the day I used the truck because if I am using the truck for a 3rd party them if she doesn’t see the tollways reflected in the bill they are not gonna pay me for it and that will be out of my package overall the service is excellent way cheaper than Penske.

John EI was charged a gas fee $51after , explaining your company gave me a vehicle w less than a 1/4 tank and I brought it back same driving 60 miles @ $5 a gallon x vehicle gas mileage @10 mpg I filled it up paying $30. I am in the process of filing a dispute w capital one . I own a few companies and I very seldom dispute. This one I will.And most wouldn't tak e the time but I will, u haul counts on people letting this go. I will make a point of this unfair business practice.

Kenneth MAir conditioning didn't work and it was 90+ degrees on our trip. It made our move al.ost unbearable. We rented 18 blankets and received 17. The transmission wouldn't shift properly after going up or down the mountains and we didn't think we were going to make it to our destination. When I asked for some kind of discount I was told that U HAUL doesn't do that.. While driving down from Chicago all the penske trucks looked in great shape. I dont see myself using you again with the maintenance problems I saw with U HAUL and the lack of trying to make it up to us in some way. I dont see myself recommending U HAUL to anyone else either. Marvin LTruck and auto transport equipment was in excelente running condition , make a 1300 mile trip to Florida 26 hours with a stop in between, really recommend U-Haul for long distance and in town moving needs .

Dustin DKindly instruct your staff to pull up online reservation info prior to offering other stuff to buy. I ordered some boxes online when I booked my reservation but the 2 staff who attended me didn't know that I already paid online. It has to be cancelled because I thought the order didn't go through but when I informed them that I paid >$100 online already that's the time the checked. But since I already ordered other stuff it has to be cancelled and I have to pay double with a promise that it will refunded in 2-5 business days. But they were very helpful and assisted me quite well.

Richard HEverything went super smooth, one thing that i noticed - one of the tires was low on air once we loaded vehicle on auto trailer. Thanks to god i’ve had air compressor on my truck and catch it in the middle of the process. Of course i am not blaming anyone, besides that everything works as it should. Super cool and friendly people work here - Des Plaines Location, thank you guys!

Patrick DOne employee was eating cereal on the job , one employee reversed fast onto another truck in the drop off lane gave the customer a scare , dropped of my van didn’t get the direct deposit amount I was told I’d get the next day . Nobody was aware of my situation communication was not shared . My truck on empty and my recipes said on paper I had more gas giving . 30 miles on the 20 box truck how stupid . Went down the bloc and the gas went to 22 real quick . The truck had white dust on it over all the experienced with them and the box truck was just ahhhhh it is what it is ghetto -aj

MARY HPick up truck had a strong odor of marijuana. They need to spray the inside of it to get rid of that smell. It was nasty.

Brennen PI had to wait 25 minutes due to a short staffing issue. I was on a very tight time restriction and it messed up my entire traveling experience timewise.
Tina HMy reservation was for Naperville. The day before it was moved to a facility that was 30 miles away. This is not acceptable as it forced me to change pick up dates and times. I’m sure you don’t care but you significantly inconvenienced me.

Navid VWhen I dropped off the trailer. It took 10 min for someone to come out. Then they told me just leave it next to the other trailers. No check out no paperwork . Felt weird just parking it away from the drop off spot with no confirmation of drop off.

ILIYA II had my U-Haul U-Box scheduled to be delivered today, August 15, 2026. I was initially given a delivery window of 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Around 11:55 AM, I received a text saying that my U-Box was about to be delivered. I called U-Haul twice and spoke with someone who told me to ignore those messages and wait for a call from the driver. I waited at my location from 10:00 AM until approximately 1:30 PM, but the U-Box never arrived. I decided to take a walk around the area, and about two streets away, I unexpectedly found a U-Haul U-Box sitting by itself in a yellow unloading zone. I immediately recognized it as mine because I saw the lock I had placed on it. This was around 2:00 PM. I tried calling U-Haul again but was unable to reach anyone. At that point, I had no choice but to start unloading my belongings myself. I literally had to carry everything two streets from where the U-Box was incorrectly left to my actual location. This was extremely inconvenient and completely unnecessary. If I had not happened to walk around and find the U-Box myself, I would have waited until 4:00 PM and still would not have known where my belongings were. I do not understand why the driver never called me and, more importantly, why my U-Box was left at the wrong location without any notification. This was a very frustrating and inconvenient experience, and I believe I should receive a refund for the delivery due to the incorrect drop-off and the significant inconvenience it caused me. Please let me know how you can resolve this. Thank you.

JOE DFrom the moment I arrived and was waiting in line to be helped, everyone was friendly. While being assisted with my reservation, all the associates were very helpful and professional. They answered all my questions. This is my "Go to" UHaul location not only for transport needs but propane as well.
Antoni WI was unfairly charged for dropping off at a different location. I feel that I was deceived, since I did the reservation and drop off at the same location. The person who did the reservation for me, took me to another location and did not mention anything about the drop-off to be at different location than my reservation location. Even at the drop off, no one mentioned anything about drop off location. The person took the equipment and told me that he will work on the paperwork and send me the refund for the unused days. After that, I received a charge for the unused days plus the unfair charge in regards of different location drop off. And I’m saying unfair because I dropped off the equipment at the same location that I did the reservation with. I filed a dispute and I was promised that I will hear an update within three days and I did not get any updates until now. Please look into my dispute file and refund the unused days and the unfair charge of the drop off location.

JOHNNA GEverthing wonderful until unpacking. I live in the mountains and delivery to Englewood CO. POD arrived on time several days before I scheduled unloading by moving company. Late afternoon day before got text UHaul had moved my POD to Highland Ranch. Agent called and was rude when I questioned it had moved since my account showed it was still in Englewood. I advised movers of last minute change of location. Next day movers went to Highland Ranch location to be told my POD wasn't there but in Englewood. They wasted an hour of precious time. Total disconnect between Highland Ranch staff - who again was rude to me
