Great service even though mobile app allowed me to reserve before they opened my truck was still waiting for me a little after they opened Shawna was a exceptional manager and made sure i got my correct truck even though i was a little behind scheduke she made sure i got on the road asap to make the time i needed to return the truck on timeMichael R.
I had reserved a covered 6x12 trailer that was confirmed. I drove down from Redding to Sacramento to move my mother. I was on a very tight timeline. I showed up to pick it up and it wasn't there. Then the rep was going to send me to another location 10 miles away on a â€œmaybeâ€ they'll have it â€œmaybeâ€ they won't. So I had to keep insisting she call that location multiple times to find out for sure. Long story short...that other location didn't have it either. So I had no other option but to use a 6x12 utility trailer, and in moving my mother we lost some items in the move due to not being prepared to use a â€œopen styleâ€ trailer. It was overall a very bad experience. I was very disappointed in this lack of organization.Christopher W.

I am only giving a poor rating so that someone will read this. The folks at the location are doing the best they can! Your app sucks real bad........why do I have to enter my information every time I make a reservation? I do a mobile check in and still have to wait in line at the location and verify everything I already entered in the app. Where is the convenience here? Focus on improving the app and the service at the location will improve (automatically). Again, these people are doing the best with what they have to work with. Additionally, quit wasting paper and time (stop generating a hard copy of the contract when it is already displayed in the app) Come on U-haul, get your act together. It's not like you're a new face in the rental business! Absolutely post this (especially so corporate can see it)Richard R.

I reserved a pickup truck and an auto trailer. when I showed up they told me I was getting a van from that location and that I would need to drive to another location to pick up the trailer. On top of that they told me the miles between stores would not be compensated. then I drove to the other store and they didn't have an auto trailer. Following this I returned the van the original store, after wasting nearly two hours. I won't be reserving Auto trailers from U-Haul in the future.Jack R.
I dropped off the vehicle well before location close of business and was starting the online return process as a U-Haul employee knocked on my window and stated that she could do the return easier and faster than via app. I went for it and found out 2 days later that a convenience fee of $20 was charged. I have formally objected to this but have not heard back.Malte S.

Went through 3 uhual trucks. First truck was empty and drove to the gas station to fill up, but the gas leaked through the bottom of the truck. Drove back to the uhual location and had to switch trucks. I noticed the second truck was also empty and told the attendant about it. Was told this truck also had a gas tank issue, and finally got in a third truck, which finally worked fine.FREDERICK D.

He was handling a rush of Sunday morning customers by himself -- working the desk, moving trucks, getting equipment like dollies and moving blankets ready, etc. We changed our truck size seamlessly with his help. Cancelled my first reservation, lady arguably the worst customer service rep ever and refused to help find a truck needed!! Booked second reservation and confirmed one way uhaul to get a voicemail a day later stating that uhaul is no longer available and reservation pushed out two days later. Finally had no choice to get a in town uhaul to travel to my destination and had to bring the uhaul all the way back. Will NEVER use uhaul again!!Jose V.

I interacted with 3 different employees: Two at 8am pickup and one at 1pm drop off. All were friendly, despite being far out-numbered by customers. For a Saturday, I felt staffing was inadequate for the volume of business. The woman encountered at 1pm was alone, covering both cashier and yard positions with several customers waiting. I do not know if staffing issue was a result of sick calls or scheduling, but it was obvious all three employees were under stress and needed help. A final observation: Considering the location, having one employee staffing that particular facility alone raises serious safety and security concerns. In short, addressing the staffing issue would improve experience for employee, employer, and the next several customers.Raymond C.

Person helping me wasn't aware I made a reservation. Tried to charge me twice and I looked at my transactions this morning; there are THREE transactions pending right now. The person "cleaning" the truck that was literally just used moments before I showed up was giving me attitude when I told him the person inside told me to use that truck. The previous customers belonging were still in the truck. The truck was filthy, including a bunch of mucous oozing down the passenger side door with crusted blood in it. Filthy. I purchased a dolly with the truck and did not recieve it. So I would like the 7 dollar fee taken off. Also I am not paying the 25 dollar fee for cleaning when the truck wasn't even clean to begin with. Also the truck was severely low on oil and it was struggling to shift gears. Would not recommend another family driving this truck around. Please respond with fixed invoice Thank youJACOB W.

First, clean your trailers. I rented a 5x8 enclosed. Before I left the rental lot I used a Uhaul broom to Sweep out the trailer which was dirty. The trailer exterior hadn't been washed for a long time. The staff showed no concern over this much less over me as a customer. Your staff needs lots or training.Elliot S.

The staff could be a tad bit more friendly and the location could probably have more employees during certain times. There was a long line of people waiting for help when I came to return a truck in the later afternoon and only 2 people working. But the truck I rented was perfect and clean :)Laura B.

They could be more informative checking in. I got an email sometime after we had driven away and started loading about check in inspection. That used to be an in person process before leaving the lot. By the time I got the email, we were loading the truck and not paying attention to our phones. So when I saw the alert and tried to view the message, it was expired. Luckily, we had no issues and our trip was great.Andrea S.
